Glad I read the reviews before calling to schedule a visit. The nasty comments by the owners in response to low star reviews gives me an idea of how my dogs would have been treated. Nope, I'll go someplace else.

I stopped to check the place out. This guy is one weird dude and I would not do business with him.And I can see from his reply that he is dishonest as well. Beware!

The best! Super friendly super caring super trustworthy . They make leaving our dogs a lot less difficult! We don't worry which is priceless, and they make it more affordable than most dog boarding we have been to.

Dog abusers!!!!!!!!!! Be aware not to take your baby to this place!! We got our dog in poor condition!!! My baby head scabs all over his body, Ear infection, you couldn't jump, barely could lift his head up!!!! I got a completely different dog back. I spend thousands at a hospital. Please don't take your dogs there stay away!

Absolute horrific experience. My dog was with them for 7 weeks. The night before they bring him home I get an email that he has a double ear infection and a rash on his head which they had to shave. They said they noticed it while grooming him last night. He came home looking like he hadn't had a bath in 7 weeks and was completely neglected. He looks malnourished and is whimpering. My groomer just came and he said that my dog is unrecognizable, which is true. He had to shave him completely because his entire body is covered in rashes. They are horrible, do not take your dog there. These are the pictures of my dog. The way he looked when they picked him up and the way he looks today when they brought him home

Paul has been accommodating, kind, and communicative with us both times that we've needed to use his services for our pup. Our dog is always taken care of, and we get picture updates of her while we're off on our adventures. I wouldn't leave our dog baby anywhere else. Paul goes the extra mile to appreciate his customers and their pets.

Great visit introducing our puppy to Farmer Paul. The operation is tidy and secure, cognizant of COVID safety, and all the dogs we saw looked happy and entertained. Looking forward to leaving our puppy with people we can trust!

Their is no better place for our dog. We absolutely love Paul and his staff. Our schnauzer is a bit wild and high strung but after just 1 day with Paul he's happier, calmer and very attentive. Paul is a dog wisperer.

My dog got hurt here a couple days into his stay. No one called us or told us my dog had gotten hurt until we went to pick him up. Also the owner kept referring to my dog as "It". "It was real happy", "it played well with other dogs". I get my dog is not human, but at least try to be respectful

I believe that all things happen for a reason, and this is the case with meeting Farmer Paul. I was working at Home Depot when I first encountered Farmer Paul and learned of his Dog Boarding and Day Care facility, Country Oaks Bed and Biscuit Inn. While I was not able to help him find the item he was looking for at Home Depot. I did have the opportunity to learn about his daycare which I needed for my newly acquired young puppies. At the time, my dogs, siblings, Labrador mixes were about six months old and terrible on a leash. Farmer Paul told me the rules of bringing the dogs to the Inn. While my first thought was that they seemed restrictive, I needed help and agreed to follow the rules. The rules are for the protection of the dogs, their owners, and the handlers. Do not expect to drop-in for multiple reasons. The first is to protect the dogs and their owners. My puppies came home from their first day of doggy daycare understanding how to walk on a leash! Something that I struggled to achieve. Farmer Paul taught me how to handle the dogs as well as working with the dogs. My puppies could not wait to go to Farmer Paul's. They would get so excited in the car that they would not sit down, and they bound out of the car when we arrive. What I get back are happy, tired puppies that sleep well. I have left my dogs with Farmer Paul to go on vacation for up to ten days. The dogs are so glad when I get home and are in good shape and are ready to go back to the Inn the next day to play. I moved away for seven months. Returning to Tehachapi to have my now 2-year-old dogs get very excited when we drove down the street towards Country Oaks Bed and Biscuit Inn. They could not wait to play at doggy daycare. We as humans must remember that dogs are pack animals, and sometimes, want to run with the pack, and will challenge each other. The dogs can run together under the watchful eye of Farmer Paul and be dogs, then come home to their human and be a lovable dog. It is the best of both worlds for the dogs and the humans A true testament to the care that the dogs receive, in my opinion, is how the dog responds upon arrival. If the dog does not want to get out of the car, I would be hesitant to leave my dogs with the handler. My dogs love going to the Inn. I appreciate Farmer Paul for helping me become a better dog mom.

It was with a heavy heart that Kelly & I departed Cali in mid August with our two Aussies Boomer & Bella . I was feeling rather sad the first morning of our 6 day cross country trip to our new home in Charleston so I called Farmer Paul to tell him how much we have loved taking our two fur babies to his place (. Even though they are not very social with other dogs, they were always excited to see Farmer Paul as we drove through the gates which was very reassuring when we first moved to Cali 5 years ago. ) even though he was busy , he took the time to talk to me which took some of my anxiety away as I was NOT looking forward to a long cross country road trip with Boomer & Bella. I miss Country Oaks !

Mr Paul is a great man . remember you are going to him not the other way around . you have to listen to what he says not what you want to do. And a side note for those who are talking trash about the place they are animals they will be in a cage at some point . think you fools

My husband and I needed to "park" our little dogs for a few hours while we attended a Saturday afternoon event. For days I called groomers, pet stores, boarding places, dog walkers, day spas, pet sitters and more. No one could/would take them on a Saturday afternoon. Farmer Paul said he would accept the pups at his place - not a problem! YAY! Farmer Paul has rules to keep his place running in an orderly fashion. Made me wonder if he had a military background. When we arrived, Farmer Paul greeted us at the gate with a warm welcome. The dogs didn't even utter the slightest bark when they met him. When we returned to fetch the pups after a few hours, they did not seem anxious to leave. They seem to have grown fond of Farmer Paul. Next time we are in that area we would definitely stop at Country Oaks - to board for a few hours or merely to give a hug to Famer Paul.
