This place is so very much like the old "coffee houses" I had in my hometown. Small, intimate, great snacks and being up close and personal With the musicians makes the experience amazing. The guest musicians are all unique and excellent. Trend is folksy, bluesy, ballady (so it is not a real word but you get my drift) and easy on the ears. A WONDERFUL WAY TO SPEND AN EVENING WITH FRIENDS! More than highly recommended!

I came here on a Monday (well...the day of this review being written), just to see the hours on the door so I could come back when it was business hours. Debby, the proprietor, was there and welcomed me into the store anyway, even though they are technically closed. I came on a different day when her employee, Kale, was there and the store was about to close, but he still welcomed me in anyway! Both days I experienced very nice service and got to know the people as they rang me up. I am truly impressed with the customer service they showed me and I will not hesitate to return here.

I will never set foot in this place ever again... First, I tried to get my instrument re-fretted, They said, "No problem...it'll be done in a week." Almost three weeks later I ask if my instrument was ready and they can't find it! This is a custom $2500 instrument. The following week (a month after I dropped it off) it was found in a storage unit not fixed and warped because of the heat. All they did was hand it back to me and say, "Sorry, the guy that does the re-fretting moved." A second experience, I tried to take lessons from this place and the teacher was never on time or even show up. The worse thing is the teacher took some sheet music of mine (I couldn't replace) and then moved without giving it back to me. Thanks Mountain Music for such wonderful experiences!

Great place to experience acoustic music without a bad seat in the place. Very quaint. They provide all the coffee and snacks you can handle included in your price for admission. Highly recommended if you enjoy acoustic "unplugged" music.
