To be honest I haven't shopped at Aldi's much in the past. I have been stopping in lately and have been finding good deals each time. One thing I can say for sure is their berries are priced well and their huge chocolate bars (made in Germany) are a bargain at just under $3 and taste like European chocolate. Much better quality than domestic chocolate.

Best customer service experiences I've had since moving to California, The helpful pleasant staff has me stopping there instead of many nearby stores...

Aldi isn't a Whole Foods, Natural Grocers, a PCM ect., and they don't pretend to be. They offer solid products and alternatives to familiar "name brands" at good prices. The store is set up in a somewhat warehouse fashion. There's minimal staffing to keep costs down but I've always been able to get help when I've needed it. Be sure to bring your own bags and be ready to bag up your groceries yourself. And a quarter... don't forget your quarter to get a cart. You'll get it back when you return your cart. 25 cents is all it seems to take to get the lazy ones to return their carts instead of leaving them behind your car or ramed into your car door. Aldi, like Trader Joe's is always an adventure, so go, try some new and different things and have fun with it.
