I went in the other morning to return a pair of shoes that rubbed my ankle raw. I never return worn merchandise, especially after the 30 days. The girl working was so friendly and helpful. She treated my return like a sale and for that I will definitely be back to buy my kids sports stuff here. Wish more places and people were like this.

went there to get shoes for my kids. there were two employees at front register hanging out and literally doing nothing. asked if someone can help get shoes. they paged another employee via the speaker. after 20 min nobody showed up to help. So we left. I will never be going back. went down the street to another store and gladly spent my money at a place who values their customers.

place isn't bad but the selection and vibe used to be waaaaaay nicer 5-10 years ago (not this store specifically, in general at the chain) - this store feels a bit eerie. So I feel I'm either better off either (1) going to REI to get more recent releases of gear (sometimes getting someone who is a bonafide gearhead to share their actual experience in the wild which is incredibly helpful!) or (2) a cottage vendor for quality cutting edge gear or (3) even Walmart if rock bottom prices for run of the mill stuff is really what I need! the selection here is fine if you're in a pinch & you just need like a canister of propane/butane or something.

Excellent place. Had a quick look in a Hurry. I will be back to shop in this Big 5 Excellent Manager Ashley is the best and has a Really great and Caring Staff. I'll be back for Sure. Had all my first kit Stuff that i needed. Even though 83 mile out of the way, the Staff worth the Visit, say Hi to Nate, He's An excellent employee and caring. Thier the most Caring group they took care of me excellent I'll be back.....
