Good store I always come here I came at 8:20 on a Sunday morning and it’s closed while they’re cleaning inside . Just found it unprofessional there was someone cleaning just walked passed me while I waited outside. Eventually 8:30 after no one opening I left .

For the past year, I’ve been shopping at this Burlington, I usually keep to myself, I like to shop and see the deals that are being shown on YouTube. They usually have good deals, but lately, I’ve been trying to find a particular jacket and a pair of sweatpants, that I’ve seen other shoppers find. I walked in this night about 7pm and went hunting. I found a cool sweater and a toy for my kid, I held them because they were the only ones there. I walked around looking to see if the jacket I wanted was in and it wasn’t, so I put the toy back, when I guess I startled one of the employees or manager that one was coming out of the bathroom. Not thinking much of it, I walked through the kids section to look for some basketball shorts for my son.That’s when I noticed the same employee was in the same aisle as me. She was ‘looking’ for hangers and I was blocked out of the aisle.Still not paying much mind, I walked down another aisle just to see her move there as well. I got a little suspicious and I moved to another aisle, now there were two employees ‘looking for hangers and putting away pillows.” I thought to myself, yep I’m being followed, okay don’t panic I buy from there all the time, except this last 2 months they haven’t had anything worth buying. I put the sweater back and proceeded to walk out the door and call my wife to let her know I’m being followed and I don’t know why.That’s when 3 employees, were standing by the door and one yelled out you know what you did ‘n-word.’ I turned around and said what did I do? I was then told by another lady (both who I’ve seen plenty of times and never had any issues with) tell me that I need to leave. I again asked what did I do to get this mistreatment and was told I was caught on camera filming with the tags. That’s when the f-bombs came out and without hesitation the blonde manager said she was calling the cops and she did, telling them that I was belligerent and assaulting them. I was 10 feet away from all of them btw. I alllowed to call the cops and stood there until they showed, all while the skinny manager that I startled, stared me down and belittling me calling me a scared boy, and my poor feelings were hurt. Uh-yea, I see you there all the time and I’ve never done anything incriminating and this is the 2nd time you’ve talked to me.The cops came, the 3 lady employees/manager made up a story of how I called them derogatory names and that I am no longer welcomed back at that Burlington. I will contact corporate in the morning, I’ve never felt so unsafe and mistreated in my own community, especially when I keep to myself and still stand out to show I’m not a threat.

I visit Burlington over the Christmas holidays, Each time I bought a few heavy items, and decorations. There was one cashier by the name of Morgan. She was very gracious and helpful. She carried my items with a smile each time I visit the store. I was grateful and had great customer experience because of Morgan the manager Tony. Thanks again for a great customer experience.Carrie

Today I was profiled as a shop lifter at this store for the first time ever! I have been working retail for 20years and I was not displaying any of the signs of a shoplifter! I was shopping with my two toddlers and followed around by a man with no name tag…after looking at the yelp reviews it seems to be normal practice at this location.
