Professor Phineas T. Pennypickle are built an amazing workshop full of experiments and wonder! Our 3yo and 5yo were entranced for over 2 hours by the 37 experiments and multiple rooms to explore. There was a scavenger hunt to do while you explore, a gift shop full of science toys, and during the summer they offer themed summer camps and day camps. Definitely an easy way to spend a few hours and kill some time when visiting Temecula with little ones.

Here’s my expierence, maybe yours is different.
This is not an autism friendly place. The workers are old and not the most understanding. I had one of the ladies hovering over me while my son was having an autistic meltdown, he was just overwhelmed by the place. But the worker could have backed off and stopped staring, staring and hovering over me helping him is not helping the problem.
Then another worker asked me “oh is he having issues.”
I damn near almost lost it at that point. Ya his “issue” is autism and ur issue is not having a brain to know what is appropriate and innapropriate to say to a special needs mom.
Maybe a kids place should teach their employees how to treat special needs kids, I doubt my son is the only one to pass through there.

Nice little spot to take kids with plenty of activities. Be careful with belongings in the cars I found a lady trying to open our car on our way out.

Fun place to visit, for the afternoon. I went there with family, and we all had a lot of fun. Great place with PLENTY of interactive exhibits.
As an adult, it was an engaging, low stress, science review. I've got to admit I had just about as much fun as the kids did. Think mini funhouse, with a back story. Good ol' Dr. Pennypickle.
Let alone the giftshop was fantastic! Filled with unique toys and science kits. Great place for birthday and holiday gift shopping.

Unlimited entertainment for kids and toddlers! It's worth noting that their hours are scheduled in "sessions". Although you can pay to enter any time during the session, they will close up and turn off the activities when the session ends and guests are expected to exit.
I do appreciate that they began cleaning and sanitizing, though, because a lot of kid friendly places are so dirty!
I really loved the staff. They talked so respectfully to my toddler and my family. They allow kids to touch literally anything. I was so pleasantly surprised! And there's enough to keep them interested and having fun for the entire session. For $10/person that can't be beat.
There's also parking right next to the building. And a designated snacking area.
Be aware: the entrance is a gift shop, so getting kids through that to pay and enter is a bit challenging.

For The Price of around $10, this place will entertain your 4-10 yr old for 1-1.5 hrs. They open for 2 hours segments so plan accordingly. We brought 3 boys 6,7, & 9 here. The first 30-45 mins was them just quickly moving from one room to another. The last 30 & 45 mins, we took a little more time and tried to get them to focus on some of the levels of ingenuity in each room. They don't fully appreciate it as they just want to be hands on and playing.
This place is very neat, I would love if they had one gross motor room to help get some extra running energy out as our 3 boys wanted to run and physically exert some extra energy...they ran in the dark room maze which isn't the best place to run. If your kid is ADHD, they will like this place but not appreciate each station and be done in 30-40 minutes. Then you just need to re-focus and allow them some time to discover the stations in depth. The gift shop is pretty sweet and I would come here to buy a gift for a kid, not just go into the museum. The staff is great as well with their patience and fun with the kids. I am glad they called out my loud and slightly running kids as it re-etirated my own admonishments of their behavior. Find street parking for free close by as well, and take a walk around the town to go along with this stop in Temecula.

Loved this spot! My kids had a blast. It’s a steampunk inspired children’s museum with tons of buttons to press and even science based magic shows. We will definitely be back!

This place is hidden in Old Town Temecula, in the back off the main street. If you have not gone to this museum it definitely is a must try for the kids for the summer. This place only cost $10.00 entry fee, so worth it. Each room had a diffrent theme, one had an earthquake simulation, the other was a music room, one was a glow in the dark room. It also had escape doors that lead to another room. Don't worry there's cameras so you can see where the kid went . The kids had a great time with the different themed rooms and inventions. The gift shop had alot of cool stuff too.
