Moody unhappy employees. They don’t even say hello. I feel bad they seem they hate their job.I went today purchase furniture and bedding for my brand new home. I signed up for in home design online and lady who has British accent called me and said no appointments available until the January. How come online showing open availability? Anyway they lost the business I will be buying all house furniture from online and from South Coast Plaza. Only one employee was helpful and friendly. Hopefully they change their attitude otherwise they will keep getting bad reviews.

Andrea is the best! I am always happy when I walk in and see her because she gives the best design suggestions, and she is so friendly and helpful. Will continue to go there because of the great service.

Strolling through Pottery Barn is just so much fun. As soon as I enter I feel immediately calm, yet inspired. It's so darn homey, in a classy way. The furnishings and accessories are lovely but not cheap. Whatever you buy there takes some decision making. Can I find this same thing, cheaper, someplace else? Well, no, probably not of the same quality. I am giving Pottery Barn 4 stars, instead of 5. One reason is, I don't recall ever being greeted there. Not one single, "Hello". Weird. It's not that I like salespeople all over me as I'm browsing, but being greeted would add to the classiness of my shopping experience. The other reason is because their decor doesn't match the way we furnish our home. I'll still stroll though on occasion. It's still a fun place and who knows? I might just find that perfect item that I can't live without.

Well let me start with a customer service at the store. A employee lady look at us and ignores and decide to go with a different customer I don’t know maybe because we don’t look like her usual customers? Any ways we did get assistance from another very friendly lady and she was going out her way and help us. I purchase a L sectional couch a chair, back in Jan 2023. Long story short I emailed customer service regarding the quality of the sofa. They send cushions replacements bad quality and different material on the inside. I’m dealing with customer service for the past three months. No one call me or email me , I request a new sofa and still no answer. I can’t not believe the I spend lot $$$$ and something I could get better at Costco and save more then have.

The store is beautifully appointed, bright, and clean. I was only accompanying my daughter, who was there to order curtains. She pointed out to me some of the accessories and furniture she had on order. The way items are organized and displayed are impressive. They offer design services and my daughter found a very nice lady, who was assisting her find fabrics and other accessories for her home. She loves this store and they have always treated her well.

Pottery Barn, and it's sister company Williams-Sonoma, have always been an addiction for me. But sanity usually prevails, since my Scottish heritage prevents me from paying retail. Yes, the various items I like and want to buy in Pottery Barn are expensive. So it's like watching something on E-bay and deciding when it's time to step in and buy. LOL. On our most recent visit, I went looking for some battery operated candles. We have several with timers throughout house, but none are LED. So the batteries only last so long and are not very green. So, since this was before Christmas, many of their prices hadn't yet been marked-down. One, eight inch candle was $89.99. LOL. Today, they're market 50% off (see photos). So why the Four Stars and not Two, or One? Well, even with online retailers, it's hard to find good quality. Yes, you can find it cheaper, but in my experience the less expensive (cheap quality) don't last very long. Sadly, I've thrown out a few. So Four Stars for quality and value. Minus One Star for ridiculous mark-ups. So now it's off to Williams-Sonoma, to see if their Fortnum & Mason Breakfast Tea is on sale yet. LOL

Store manager clearly doesn't enjoy working here and is rude. I asked her a simple question while she was on the sales floor and she looked at me like I was bothering her. I'm not surprised at the negative reviews, especially with the store manager. Will never shop at this location again.

Customer service has deteriorated. Do not use their design services. We had a confirmed appointment for in home design services. The designer did not shoe up or call. When we finally got through to the store we were told they do not do weekend appointments. I shared the confirmation I received for Sunday afternoon and was no one caught the error. When I tried to reschedule I was told I would need to go into the store and meet with the designer before the could come out. I am upset because on their website they solicit in home appointments. They encourage you to schedule online. They send a confirmation. There is no mention of requiring a store visit first or no mention of no services on the weekend. We arranged our entire day around this appointment which was listed as an available time on their website.

For the money my wife and I spent, I would expect some level of customer service. The personnel in the store were nice, their designer was nice but it stops there. Their supply chain management is no better than pathetic. When you purchase an item, I consider it an agreement but they obviously do not. When you purchase an item with a five to six months lead time, you would expect it to arrive on time. When I t doesn't, which it won't, you'll have to call their customer service because they won't take the initiative to inform you of any delays. You'll be given the standard answer "we'll look into it and call you back". There is no explanation, there is usually no return call. There is never anyone available that has the answers. I'm currently dealing with the following: placed order in July 2021, eta was November 2021, item never came, called to make inquiry into order status and requested call back, of course the call back never came, had to refer to my original email from the time of order to see the revised eta, eta came and went - no item, again looked at original email and it stated that it was delivered (obviously not), called their customer service line- they said the shipment was delivered - again obviously not, called the store two days prior to a holiday and they informed me that they could not get back to me until after the holiday because everyone wa out of office (what????) - the store manager (Debbie) then hung up on me, fortunately the mirror (the $600 mirror) arrived today on 2/15/22, oh wait it arrived BROKEN, what a surprise!!! The delivery drivers opened the box and showed me the cracked mirror. I just said "figures" and shut the door. So now let's start the fun all over again! When you place your order, it WILL NOT ARRIVE ANYWHERE NEAR THE ETA so make sure they compensate you for their poor service! This rant is based on numerous delays with numerous items. Just know what you're getting into, beware!
