Scheduled a virtual consultation for a quote. After waiting for 20 minutes for them to call me for the consultation I called them. They apologized and said they forgot to put it in their calendar. They offered to reschedule me in an hour. I declined and decided to go with a different moving company who wouldn't forget to put me in their calendar.

We used Republic to move from Carlsbad, CA. to Paso Robles, CA. We had our furnishings stored at Republic for 8+ months while our new home was being built. Throughout this process, we found Republic to be professional and advised us along the way. Even though the long storage time, when our items were delivered to our new home, there was zero damage to anything. The packers and those delivering and setting up our furniture were very polite, professional and showed great care in making sure there was no damage both in storage and during transit. They were always on time to their promised timeframes. We are very satisfied with Republic and would highly recommend them.

I booked a move with this company three months in advance. They guaranteed me my move date was on the calendar, we signed contracts and they took my deposit. They then called me the day before the move to reschedule it to the following week. I checked in with them multiple times leading up to the move date. I was always reassured the dates were firm and I had nothing to worry about. However, this was not true!I can not say enough how completely unacceptable my experience with this company was. Do not trust this company with your move! Do not do business with them if you really need a company to show up as committed.Only positive about this experience was the customer service representative Lindsay. She really did all she could do to help us and I could hear in her voice how horrible she felt about leaving me without any options to move on the dates agreed. Hopefully she gets a new job and leaves this horrible company.

Don't know how to start this review it was a complete nightmare,we hired rebluic movers they subcontract to another nightmare tim Merritt movers who showed up with a extended car trailer,at that point we had no choice our house was sold and we had to move,delivery day came they broke our curio and did a patch job on the truck and did not say anything they broke a lamp and tried to hide it,we where told by Don Carlson our sales rep who is a complete liar that they would take our plants,not the case we had to leave all of them behind.BEWARE OF THIS COMPAMY THEY ARE AGAIN LIARS AND NO RETURN PHONE CALLS AFTER THE MOVE TIM MERRITTS IS A DISHONEST AS WELL AS DON CARLSON STAY AWAY ALSO BILL LOVEJOY THE OWNER ALSO DOES NOT RETURNS CALLS PLEASE BEWARE AND STAY AWAY

RUN from this company, regardless if they use the name Republic Moving and Storage or Lovejoy's Family Moving. (Republic's marketing material was mailed to my home however the actual contract was provided by Lovejoy; employees have both Republic and Lovejoy on their email signatures). The sales rep spent over an hour at my home and assured me great care would be taken with my midcentury furniture and she assured me the service was the best and as a family owned company they would take great care of me if anything were to go wrong. After that visit, mistakes were made by the company on the paperwork and this caused the paperwork to be changed several times during this process and they contacted me several times with the wrong move date. That was minor but then 8 items were damaged or broken after being packed by their movers and stored by them for a short period of time before delivering back to me. Among other items, they broke my Mid Century sofa leg clean off and completely ripped off the power plug from a Mid Century Table/Lamp both items they promised to pack and store with care. As I had purchased lunch for the movers that packed this furniture and I even gave away some furniture items to the movers that unpacked the items, I believed they would take care of me and chose to only put a claim in for 2 items (the sofa leg repair and the table/lamp repair) and for the true market cost to replace the 3 broken dishes (The movers packed all the furniture and had visibly damaged the box I had packed with the broken dishes). I ended up throwing out a mid century lamp base I sent photos of which they destroyed as it couldn't be repaired and I did touch up work on the other midcentury items myself. As bad as that was, the responses I received when I filed the claim was far worse. After several weeks, NOT ONE person from the company picked up the phone to call me to express any empathy or explain the process to me. I even emailed the owner. I asked the Sales rep who then gave me the name of someone to help me and only after I reached out to her did I receive an actual phone call from the Claims Manager. After assuring me in writing it should be no problem for me to send them the receipt for repair reimbursement and that it should be no problem to replace the value of the 3 dishes, when that was all done and I had hired a handyman to do the repairs at my home in the least expensive way, I received an email at the end of this to say the repairs didn't exceed my $500 deductible in the Lovejoy Contract I signed so they didn't need to send me anything. I asked the 4 contacts if this service was something they were proud of? And that not one person told me this at the beginning of my claims process. I never heard back after that. If I treated customers like this, I would never have any repeat or referral business. Unacceptable.

Kirk and his team did an amazing job moving us from Oceanside to Carlsbad. On time and professional , the crew did an amazing job wrapping, loading , moving, unpacking, assembling and placing all our furniture ( we have a lot) and boxes in our née hone! Highly recommend!

I almost never do this, but I'm updating my review here. Not sure I've ever done it before at all.Short version: I had a pretty bad issue with a move, but now it's been resolved, and they have taken steps to fix the issue going forward. If I have to move again, they will be my first call.Longer version: After my review posted, I have spoken with their operations manager a couple of times, and not only have they refunded what shouldn't have been charged in the first place, they have shown me what changes they have made internally to make sure stuff like this doesn't happen again. I want to thank Tim personally and publicly for getting this resolved. Others in his division have also been involved directly with me fixing this.I actually believe their sincerity in wanting this resolved. Not just because of the negative comments, but because it's the right thing to do. I hope it's a long time before I ever need another moving company, moving is a pain in the a*** but using a good moving company can make it suck so much less. At this point, if I were to need to move again, I would not hesitate to use Republic or any of the other moving companies owned by the Lovejoy family. If you use them and run into issues, they have now made it very easy to know what to do to escalate the issue to the right person. They have shown me an example of their new signature line that will allow you to easily follow up if there is a problem. With what they've done - I don't think it's likely the issues I had will occur with others. If they do, follow up with the escalation, and if necessary call and talk to their operations team. They'll fix it.

This company delivered our overseas goods today and were pleasantly wonderful. All three men were professional and courteous. We've had 11 moves w/ the military and I can only attest to maybe 3 companies providing this level of professionalism.Thanks fellas: Mark, Jr, and Brandon

Hystrerical! Was on the phone with a call center agent and he was amazing....spent 20 mins...then came time to schedule time with my "Move Consultant, Terry"...oh wait...she only works ONE day a week- Tuesdays...and shes booked. "Honestly, we wont have enough time to do this. I have never seen this before (said the phone rep) Don't waste your time, people. Update- I was told she only worked one day a week....wow

Thanks to Team Republic Moving & Storage! Mr. Miguel Ramirez, his brother Hugo, and James made up the team for our pack-out to Florida. Very professional, well led, friendly, inexhaustible, and followed through with a spotless move from start to finish. They were flexible with the schedule before arrival, showed up on time, were courteous to the neighbors, coordinated well with each other and us, and ran the tetris like checklist to seal the crates. No issues with anything and having processed over 10 personal moves in the military, these guys can hold their own against the best. BLUF: Recommend for greater roles and responsibility : ) and would let these Pros move the home again anytime... 73
