John and his company were fantastic from start to finish! Jeremy and his crew were our drivers. We were updated when needed along the way.
We were moving an inherited formal dining room set from CA to SC. When Jeremy and his team arrived with the truck, they handled everything with care and efficiency. They worked together like a Well Oiled Machine!

This is our fourth move in 8 years so we know something about moving companies. We interviewed 3 companies and it was clear from the start that R&R was more thorough and responsive. Shane came to house and carefully went through everything in preparation for the move and to insure that his team knew what to expect. His explanation of how the move would be handled and how our furniture and the house would be protected sold us on them. The move couldn’t have gone smoother. Brandon was lead on the move from door to door, working with Dallas and others each of whom was professional and personable. The owner stopped in to check on the packing as well as the loading. What a nice guy.
Would definitely recommend them to anyone. Thanks guys for a job well done

Not all bad. They packed us up fast but unpacking we found things missing. A dolly, bolt cutters, push broom and hardware for bed frame ,broken glass side table, bed topper destroyed and other things.We will find more I’m sure. They were friendly and hard working. But it takes more effort than being friendly and hard working to be a top notch moviing company. I wouldn’t recommend them.

Ruff and Ready Moving is always so responsive, I needed to have a piano moved with only 1 day notice and they made it happen. They came prepared and were super careful to make sure my piano was moved without a scratch. I always refer them and will continue to do so!

This company allows you to store your load in their storage (min 30 days). That was a selling point for my particular move.
If you do use this mover (or any other) make sure you carefully watch the expensive items when they are packed and inspect those items when they arrive, especially your tv's. Demand that they open the tv box and plug it into the wall. If an item is damaged, have them document on the spot and take pics.
The movers did bring to my attention several items they broke, including a brace for an expensive play set. Don't assume they will report it back and you will have a follow up acknowledgement.
All of this is pretty standard when moving a lot of items and doing the majority of packing on your own. In spite of choosing minimum insurance coverage based on weight per item, they reconciled a fair settlement with me. That is rare, but shows their empathy to help out a customer when inevitably items may get damaged.

This review is long overdue, but definitely deserved!
I’m so glad I chose R&R for my long-distance move from El Cajon, CA to Stafford, TX. From the beginning, they eased all my concerns about using a moving company—especially with it being such a big move. Everything they promised? They delivered. This is a trustworthy, dependable company through and through!
Let me tell y’all a few things that stood out:
Same Crew, Start to Finish – The same movers who disassembled my furniture in Cali were the exact same ones who showed up in Texas to put it back together! I was told that probably wouldn’t happen, so it honestly felt like a miracle from God when they waved goodbye in CA and said, “See you in Texas!” And sure enough—they showed up and got to work like pros. Everything was reassembled correctly. No issues, no missing screws, no guessing games. Just done right!
Super Patient + Accommodating – Our driver originally planned to leave CA on May 1st, but due to other moves, he actually arrived in Texas on May 1st. Meanwhile, my fiancé and I were still driving across the country and didn’t arrive until the 4th. And guess what? They waited for us. When we pulled up to our house, the movers were already there, ready to unload. Such a blessing! I didn’t have to sleep on an air mattress or some blankets—I slept on my own bed that night.
Top-Tier Communication – I was never in the dark. From the initial rep, to the follow-up reminders, to the driver texting updates—I felt taken care of the whole way through. That kind of communication is rare these days.
ZERO DAMAGE – I mean it when I say… the movers did their thang, fr. Everything arrived in great shape.
Fair & Transparent Pricing – I wasn’t overcharged or surprised with any hidden fees. The estimate they gave me upfront was what I paid. The only additional cost was a shuttle fee they clearly communicated ahead of time as a possibility. So even that didn’t feel like a surprise—it was just part of the plan. And I appreciated that honesty.
From start to finish, the process was smooth, quick, and professional. They don’t just want your money—they want your trust and your business, and they work hard for it. I honestly can’t say the same for other moving companies I’ve dealt with.
If you're considering moving, I 100% recommend R&R. You’ll be in great hands.

Five Stars – Professional, Compassionate, and Reliable
I’ve used Ruff and Ready Moving three times now—both for personal and work-related moves—and each time, they’ve exceeded expectations. Most recently, they helped move my brother across the state back to Temecula after he suffered a serious medical event. It was an incredibly stressful time for our family, but their team made the process smooth and manageable.
What stood out was how they provided an accurate quote using FaceTime—no hassle, just straight to the point. The movers were professional, efficient, and genuinely kind. They handled everything with care, and their reliability gave us much-needed peace of mind during a tough situation.
