I think they forgot about me. After 2 or 3 months I called. It then shipped in a month. When I received it I found that a regular propane tank will not fit inside it. There is no where in the description that says this. To make sure I went back and looked again in case I missed it.
So you have to buy a special expensive "small" tank. Then go to a propane seller (where ever that is) and have it filled. And because it is a small tank it won't last very long.
It is well built and the top is very nice. But I would not buy this again. If they let me return it I will.
I changed their star rating because after an irrational amount of complaining they sent me a new base that fits a normal sized propane tank.

Purchased the Beton 42” fire pit, primarily because of its hidden tank feature. We did wait a bit for it to come in, as it was back ordered, but it was totally WORTH THE WAIT! We’re completely delighted.

I worked with Mari and she was so helpful. I took her advice and could not be happier with the purchase. We bought the Moreno copper fire pit with hidden propane tank, it was a great option since we do not have gas piped to the patio.

We had a really positive experience working with Scott Nunes at Starfire Direct in Temecula. We were there to change out the glass in our fire table and Scott patiently walked us through all the glass types and color options on display there, and provided guidance on measuring the required quantity and how to properly load the fire table to not restrict the flame. He provided plenty of samples to try out at home and worked with us when we needed to modify what we had purchased. In a time when customer service seems to be declining, Scott is a genuine exception and I strongly recommend him and Starfire.

I’ve made several recent purchases from Starfire Direct and have found their products superior and their customer service excellent!
I was in the process of having a natural gas firepit added to my backyard when I ran into issues with obtaining city permits for the project. The city and gas company wanted detailed information regarding the specific BTU rating for the fire ring, clearance to combustibles, ventilation, etc. I had originally purchased a fire ring from a different manufacturer and their spec sheets did not cover this info. My plumber called that manufacturer directly and was advised that they could not provide the specific BTU rating (only a max range) because of previous “issues” they’ve had. After hours of internet research, I found the golden ticket with Starfire Direct. Not only did they provide the actual BTU rating, but they also had detailed spec sheets and drawings for each of their products which answered all of the City’s questions.
I then placed my order for a fire ring, pan, and form fitting ledge through Starfire’s website. I had questions about the order including the number of ledge pieces needed so I used the online chat feature on their website and was immediately connected to a live and very knowledgeable Sales Assistant, Scott Nunes. I was already impressed with the company online, but Scott elevated that to a whole new level with his AMAZING customer service! After assisting me with my order, Scott followed up with an email including his contact information so I could reach out to him directly with any follow up questions. He also provided me with a YouTube video with easy to follow installation instructions. It’s such a rarity these days to connect with a local company representative who truly knows his product and provides excellent customer service…thank you Scott!!!!
Today (several months after making my initial purchase), I reached out to Scott via email. I had run into a glitch on the project where the mason made the interior diameter of the fire pit too large for my fire ring/pan. Scott was quick to reply and provided suggestions on how we might accomplish an exchange. In a matter of minutes, Scott came up with a plan to make the whole process easy and seamless. He is the BEST and I can’t thank him enough for his outstanding customer service!!!!

We love to enjoy the outdoors so spending a lot of money on our landscape and then having to figure out what furniture will accentuate our landscape was not easy. We checked out some of the biggest companies online like Wayfair, Amazon and retailers like Target, Walmart, Macy’s couldn’t find anything elegant and high quality. We then ventured into Crate & Barrel Pottery Barn, and West Elm but were sticker shocked. The next step we took was to look into smaller companies to see what they had to offer and we encountered StarFire Direct, quite possibly the most impressive company with the quality that they offer and even more impressive was the customer care and follow up. An agent named Scott knew exactly what we were looking for and gave us so many great options! The price was right, and we’ve been hosting gatherings with guests astonished by the sturdiness, beauty, and simplicity of our fire pit and patio set!
