Extremely Disappointing Experience with U-Haul in Temecula
I recently had the misfortune of renting a truck from U-Haul in Temecula on June 2nd, 2024. What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into a nightmare of overcharging, unprofessionalism, and outright disrespect.
Upon returning the truck promptly by 9:00 pm, I was shocked to discover that U-Haul had overcharged me. When I called to seek an explanation, I was met with appalling customer service. The representative first admitted to the overcharge and then proceeded to put me on hold for an astonishing 11 minutes.
To my dismay, the situation escalated when the general manager intervened. Rather than addressing the issue at hand, she feigned ignorance and bombarded me with unnecessary questions. Despite having my information on file, she insisted on interrogating me repeatedly. Her condescending tone and refusal to listen to my concerns were utterly disrespectful.
Furthermore, instead of acknowledging their mistake and rectifying it, the manager resorted to baseless accusations. She accused me of yelling, despite my calm demeanor throughout the conversation. This unprofessional behavior culminated in insinuations questioning my intelligence and thinly veiled racism.
As someone who has experienced racism firsthand, I am appalled by the insidious tactics employed by U-Haul to avoid accountability. Their treatment of paying customers is disgraceful and reflects poorly on their company values. I urge all potential clients to seek alternatives, as there are plenty of reputable companies that prioritize fairness and respect.
In conclusion, my experience with U-Haul in Temecula was nothing short of a nightmare. I implore others to avoid this company at all costs and explore alternative options for their moving needs. U-Haul has lost my trust and business indefinitely.

Picked up a van to load and unload a sofa, van already had a residue of oil in the cargo space before i picked up and upon returning they charged $25 cleaning fee for something that is i am not responsible. Upon calling back employee tells me that i should have checked before i left (so the last customer who used van, you didnot check when they retuned, that there are residue of oil???)Also, in contract they put the van has full tank, when leaving their parking i notified them that it is not full tank and they corrected in their system.. basically just put false information in contract and loot customer. never using this location again for any rentals

We came to this location after we picked up a trailer from a different location. The trailer came off the tow on the freeway, put it back on and headed to this location which was about 3 minutes away. Dustin helped us repair the trailer and made sure it was put on properly this time. He was quick and very efficient. Great service from him!

Unclear return policy for over the counter purchase of a brake controller. $315 Echo Bluetooth Brake Controller that doesn't work. Came in 3 weeks after purchase and received a heavy push back from Dustin P. As no manager was on duty, he called and texted other managers as well as corporate manager. Receipt has no details of return policy. Now U-Haul is saying that no return on electronic devices. Nothing written on receipt, nothing posted on the wall.

Just got off the phone with them like 5 mins ago.The rep that answered the phone was not helpful, he wasn’t honest, and put me on hold too many times. He was just not fully there. I disliked it when he pressured me that I must provide details of my personal information to enable me to know their pricing options. No thanks, if I am interested in the price & options, then I will provide personal information, not the other way around.

My daughter, a military wife, trying to get to her husband in Virginia rented a truck and dolly a month ago. A week ago she confirmed the reservation but they forced her to upgrade to an auto transport as no dolly was available. Today we called again to confirm pickup time and were told there are no auto transports or dolly available even though we had made the reservation. We spoke with the Oceanside office on the phone, asked to speak to a supervisor, but they never called back. Unbelievably poor customer service and no accountability. We now have no way to transfer the car on her move across country on Wed. I remember when Uhaul was reliable with excellent customer service. It has fallen far. They clearly do not support their military customers.

Customers who qualify will receive the TJX Rewards Mastercard Platinum, which can be used anywhere that Mastercard is accepted.Except here . For some reason. Guy kept saying it was a loaded card.Didnt argue with him because in the words of Ron tater salad white, you can't fix stupid. Regional manager.

I went a few days ago to drop off some boxes to donate. I also had some folded tissue in 2 small Boxes at home. I asked one of the employees if I can drop off tissue/wrapping paper off in 2 small boxes. she said yes people use it. So I came back a couple days later to drop off a few more moving boxes and 2 small folded wrapping paper boxes. I drop them off and I'm walking away and here comes Jeremy saying "what do we have here. Is this tissue paper. You need to get it out of here". I turn around assuming he's talking to me and tell him I spoke to an employee (not naming her) and they confirmed I can bring in tissue paper to drop off. He then points his finger at his employee and ask her did you tell her she can do that? Employee says yes. I then turned and walked away. I overheard him say go throw it away. I just wanted to give a review on how unprofessional and rude he was. No acknowledgment of a customer. Not an excuse me ma'am we cant accept this paper but just his loud mouth attitude. Jeremy is rude.

The staff member who handled my rental was extremely pleasant.When I returned the trailer (shortly after the store closed), one of the employees was still in the parking lot; this young man cheerfully helped me unhitch the trailer from my vehicle...even though his work day had concluded.I'm very appreciative of the Customer Care provided to me by this UHaul team.
