Just go to Banfield ! Trust me i came thinking They would help at a more affordable price but they actually just wrongly diagnose and will make you pay to get them seen again . Their team isn't helpful what so ever . I called and asked MEGAN for HR phone number and she refused to provide me with that information and said she’ll only provide me a customer service number and that they wouldn’t even help me . Awesome we go spend hundreds of dollars trying to get our pets fixed and they aren’t even helpful . What a bummer . Point is save some time and money and get the correct diagnosis just go to banfield or anywhere else where they actually care for pets really

Garbage. Called them at 4:30 pm. Asked when they close the self wash. Was told 6 pm by the lady on the phone. I ask when the last wash is let in. She says it doesn't matter as long as you're done by 6. I drive 20 minutes there and arrive at 5:20 pm. I'm told they already closed the self wash. I said both the "tub hours" sign and the lady on the phone say you close at 6. The guy behind the counter says yes, but they stop letting people in at 5. I tell them what the lady on the phone told me. He says "well you must have spoken to someone on the floor and not the groomers because they don't really know how we work". Then maybe y'all should communicate between the two apparently separate entities to make sure you don't give people incorrect information? Hard to believe that level of management isn't possible at a franchise as large as Petco.

Brought my best friend Cali here to get her swollen lymph node examined. I told them I think it might be an abscess and that I had been hot packing it to try to get it to form a head. Dr. Mule came in touched it briefly and examined her back hips and tried to get into her mouth but Cali wouldn’t really let her. She said it’s too firm to be an abscess and that it’s definitely a tumor. She then said with Cali being in the condition she’s in I should consider euthanasia and that they could do it today. Now mind you she had been walking fine eating , pooping and peeing great. Stood up with her head out the window on the car ride way to the vet. So naturally I said absolutely not. They did a cytology and said I would get the results back in a weak at least. When I got home I called Vetco back and asked them to prescribe antibiotics just in case it’s cellulitis or still an abscess. Dr mule said that Cali was too old and unable to handle antibiotics and declined to prescribe them.Well over the night Cali’s “TUMOR” grew substantially larger I took her to the ER and apparently her being to old for antibiotics is not a thing, AND it was an ABSCESS like what the heck are you guys doing here. They took her back for surgery but it was too late the infection had already started to spread and she went into septic shock and then I had to euthanize her.Drop the EGO and listen to the patients from time to time. You could’ve saved her if you just tried to treat her for an abscess.Any one reading this don’t take your pets to a petco vet, you wouldn’t take your kids to a Walmart doctor would you?

I've been going to this Petco since I got my dog in March and it was a good experience until today. I've done puppy training with Nick and he's awesome! I also have the vital care plan and the "Vetco" there is also nice, the staff is helpful. However the grooming department is a different story. The grooming staff is rude every time I've been there, except for maybe 2 people. I decided to go to the grooming area today to do self grooming and it was terrible. It was so gross inside, there was dog hair everywhere. The tubs themselves looked like they weren't cleaned the entire day, it was literally clogged with dog hair. They give you baskets with products and grooming tools (two dirty brushes) and yes every single basket had dirty brushes. The "products" that they provide are watered down shampoo and conditioner. They had like 10 baskets and only one of them had shampoo and conditioner bottles that were filled, the rest were empty. There were no clean towels I had to wait 8 minutes and ask someone from the FRONT to bring me towels because the grooming staff did not help. The towels were "clean" but had dog hair all over them I had to shake them 3 times to get some of the hair off. When I tried to ask the grooming staff for help with the hot water they were rude and the sinks barely had any hot or warm water, it was pretty much cold the entire 10 minutes I was rinsing him. Overall it was very dirty and I don't recommend it, $20 is an INSANE price considering the entire area was raggedy and filthy. I wish I was being dramatic but unfortunately I am not, check the pictures. Save your money please!

Called for a vaccine. They said no matter what il have to pay a $76 examination fee for my dog. Such ridiculous service. Good way to turn a 30 Dollar vaccine to a $100 visit. No thanksBe aware seems very scammy

Today my dog was refused service because she has once in her life had a low grade seizure. Petco refused to give her a bath and cut her hair. We have been going to Petco for over 10 years and this has never even been brought up once. My dog doesn't have a health condition or issue and is not on any medication. She is extremely healthy and I even had my vet tell me they can provide a note that states my dog has absolutely NO health conditions, but they STILL refused us. How shameful! The customer service was also poor. I spoke to many "managers" and even the District manager and they brushed me off. After reading some disturbing things online about these managers from employees it unfortunately checks out. I will not be back, I will continue to speak my mind.SIDE NOTE: IM SO HAPPY THEY DID BECAUSE WE DISCOVERED PETSMART!!! OMG I ENCOURAGE EVERYONE TO GO TO PETSMART. ITS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER! Wayyyy cheaper, customer service is night and day. They actually answer their phones and have appointments available for next day service and don't REFUSE dogs for absolutely no reason. It's also WAY closer for me. I'm genuinely happy to give them our business. YAY TO PETSMART!!! I wish I went sooner.

Well, this is a darn fun place to visit with my little doggie. I'm always looking for places we can go to have fun together. This store supplies Just Food For Dogs. It's one of many places but it's good to know they do, as that's our little guys diet. There's a huge amount of food choices though, if I ever decide to switch. On top of food selections for pets of all kinds, they carry leashes and collars. I'm still looking for a particular kind of halter though, of which cannot be found there. Kind of a bummer. While I'm not fond of seeing small birds and other sweet pets in cages, people want them. so, I guess it makes sense to offer them. I do love looking at the, birds, lizards, snakes. hamsters, etc. I can't lie. Oh! And they have fish! Fish and tanks for them. More fun to look at. I'm a sucker for dog and cat toys. Naturally, our little dog is too. If we go there, he of course comes home with at least one and maybe a chew as well. Because I get toys for him, I naturally pick out one for our two cats! Oh boy... what can you do? This place is clean and the cashiers are friendly. So why not 5 stars, instead of 4? Well, I'm not sure this is fair either and I might wind up changing it, but my dog, when he was a puppy, caught kennel cough there. He hadn't been anywhere else to get it. His vet told me that's a real problem with PetCo and PetSmart, because people like to take their dogs there. Sooo... what might PetCo do about that? Boy, I don't know. Wipe down their shopping carts? Like I said, in fairness, I might need to change my review to 5 stars. Thinking it over.Lastly, I LOVE that they offer cat adoptions. Most especially of older cats.Lastly, lastly... this review does not include grooming. I've never used one of their groomers, so cannot speak to that. Glancing at some of the reviews on that though, it doesn't sound too good.

Brought my dog in for full body shave and bath on June 24th, told them I wanted it shorter than usual and Isabel killed it!! She left her looking so perfect!! This has been my favorite haircut she's ever had. She was done in 3 hours, which I was totally fine with! Thank youuu guys so much! Will definitely bring her again!

The groomers name is Isabel. She almost didn't cut anything on his body (She just cut the muzzle and the eye area. Around his eyes looks red, his nails is cut too short and it's bleeding.) His private part is burning and it's red. It's irritated. (She might've used a clipper.) His middle muzzle isn't cut evenly and now the middle muzzle area has no hair!! I can see his skin. I gave her sample pictures so she knows how I like it done with my dog. She didn't seem to look at the sample pictures!! She did an incomplete cut and made him ugly looking. I wish before destroying my dogs hair, she would tell us she can't cut !! In my opinion, she is not a professional (groomer) she doesn't know how to cut a dog's hair!!If my dog doesn't like clipper sounds why didn't she try to cut with scissors like other groomer do? She just cut a little on the body hair and almost looks the same and she charged FULL price? This hair cut I could have done my self!! He was cute before and now he has an ugly hair cut...Even my family said shocking to see my dog because his body exactly the same before hair cut and muzzle and bangs too short made ugly!!This hair cut Not worth it!! Also I would never comeback for my dog's hair cut bc just destroyed my dogs look. *I don't recommend Isabel. I want money back for this ugly incomplete hair cut!! My poor dog!!!I hope manager reads this!!If you hire a groomer you need make sure they can cut completely. Do not get employees that don't have that much experience because an unhappy customer like this will result with wasted money!!!!**I had originally had an appointment Saturday but she cancelled without notifying me then i found out at the store about cancellation, horrible!! Then on the new appointment day I was told it would take 2 to 3 hours!! I waited 2 and a half hours just so that I can see the progress she just got started and spent maybe only 30min!! Not worth the wait!!

I brought my two year old husky mix into this Vetco for an injury/illness appointment and everything seemed fine and normal until we started speaking to the vet - Dr. Smolen. Really nice woman but she did not listen to much I said to the point she interrupted me in the middle of my sentence and just left the room saying she was going to get some things going. Not the best experience and did not make me feel heard - also extremely rude. She frantically transferred us to an emergency vet that told us we shouldn’t have even been transferred and continued treatment that could have been rendered at Vetco’s internal medicine hospital to begin with. Maybe great for preventative care but I will not be taking another animal here for an injury/illness again.

Seeing as customer service is literally y'all's job, just do better. Grooming service is horrible. First time I'm taking my puppy to get a bath and nail trim, as I was waiting - I was reading their signs and decided to ask how long my puppy would be in a kennel for. He said longer than two hours. Ummmm if your dog has any type of anxiety that's a red flag. - explained it's for them to get dry and to give them time to setup bath. Still really odd to me that they would be in a kennel for over two hours. Okay so I decided on the nail trim onlyHe had horrible customer service - horrible - sir didn't even know what customer service was.Anyways he walks around the corner and my dog barks at him. He immediately said I can't take her, she's barking at me. I said hmmm you want to try being friendly and give her a treat and go from there? He said Nah. Bro is straight ass at customer service. Besides him being horrible. Wish I got his name. Will literally go again just to find his name and write another review that's how ass he is. Love the girl at the front with long hair - sweet and just does her job correctly (customer service) Anyways EWWWWW at the boy. Still disgusted by his behavior.
