“Utterly charmed by this place. After eating an incredible, smoky bowl of split pea - which John (the owner) made on the spot on his gas stove behind the register - for $3.75, I bought some grocery staples and a few treats. While shopping, I marveled at the hand-packed "leftovers" stored in the wood-paneled refrigerator, on sale for a modest $1.75/portion instead of being thrown out. A business as personal and homey as Oh Happy Day is a marvel these days. I feel gratitude and respect for John and the space he's fostered. Will be back many times.”

The store is always well stocked, there's a speedy check out, and they're patient with you.If you're new to this and are hesitant to come to a Mother's Store, don't!! Just do it! It beats running around a regular grocery store looking for the items you qualify for. Here, they greet you, you get all your benefits within 5 minutes, plus you get a free item (whatever veggies are in stock) and the cherry on top is that they put everything in your car! “Good variety of fresh vegetables sold here. First time I saw purple you choy. Some might think it's slightly bitter but it's also more flavorful than the regular you choy. I personally like how the vegetables aren't over sprayed/drenched in water here. The ladies packing the vegetables are very helpful and will let you know what's good especially when there's a new item. Also has a good variety of Asian snacks, Chinese herbs, tea mix and tea leaves.”

It feels like superfood, tastes great (not like the usual ginger shots or kombucha, blegh) and not loaded with added sweetener either. “My husband comes here most of the time but recently I've come here to help him get what he needed, every time I came, the staffs were very helpful(even though I didn't need help cause I know what I am getting) and greeted me as I walk in, I've read some of the previous comments and scared me a little but hey they are very welcoming, even the lady inform me about the $10 coupon for my next purchase which I don't even know about it! It's close to my home very convenient definitely will continue to purchase from this GNC”
