“I am mind blown at the kindness I received today at this Post office. Thank you so much lady for helping me reduce the size of my package to save a few dollars. I’m trying to save for a road trip with my family and have been unfortunate to all of the sudden need car repairs as well as a dental procedure due within weeks of my trip I’ve been trying to save for that I will now have little to bring on the trip since these pressing circumstances are very costly. Every little bit of money helps. Thank you thank you ?”
“The staff are efficient, friendly, show high level of competency.. their work ethics are exceptional despite the increasing demands for passport applications and renewals. They try their best to give each customers an exceptional customer service. Thank you again.”
“The best post office, because Cindy and the other ladies are always friendly. Majority of the time I get the clerk Cindy who is always nice about scanning my packages. I always get a receipt and she’s never refused me unlike the workers at the post office on Elliot street. They’re extremely pushy about leaving your packages in a bin. It’s too risky not having them scanned in and getting confirmation. Anyway, Cindy is great and so is this post office!”

“Highly recommend it here! One stop shop and very convenient for livescan, notarizing documents, and mailing stuff out. The owner is really sweet and she helped me so so so much with a very time sensitive issue that I had and was very pleasant to work with. Thank you for your help to the owner and I highly recommend this place to anyone!”
“I have been to 4 post office locations in the city of Pasadena CA. This one by far has the most friendliest and helpful staff out of all the locations I have been to! Seriously, I have received attitude and even hostility at 2 of the 3 other post office locations that I have done business at. If you need to do any business with the USPS in the city of Pasadena CA, this is the location you want to go to!”
“Our local U.S. Post Office... convenient and well-stocked.
Our favorite clerk retired after decades of service and we are glad to see his legacy of customer service continue with the current staff. Thank you USPS.”
“Postal Services in Sierra Madre, Los Angeles, California...We had just finished breakfast nearby when I asked my friend, Hannah, if there was a post office nearby. She pointed and said that there was one right around the corner! Yay!Sierra Madre's post office is cozy, calm, and mellow. I felt like I was in a safe, small, quaint country town. I parked in the back of the building and walked in the building from the side door.Other people parked in the front, on the street, and walked in the front door.It wasn't crowded, so, I walked right up to the letter slot, tossed my postcard in, and left.Easy as pie!”
“This post office has been a surprising source of calm for me since early this year. Some days I stop by just to drop off mail or packages, and other days I simply pass through, but every time, it’s consistent: clean, quiet, and efficient.
The attendant in the mornings always greets me with a smile, and I genuinely get the sense he remembers me (or maybe it’s my little dog Mimi he recognizes). Either way, the friendliness makes a difference. He even shared that Mondays are their busiest days, which explains why my morning visits always feel so easy and unrushed.
The building itself is beautiful, full of Old Pasadena charm. The high ceilings, intricate windows, and natural light make it one of those rare post offices where you don’t mind waiting. Even the mailboxes have a vintage look that adds to the character.
There’s also a window for prepaid USPS packages, which makes drop-offs simple and quick. I’ve never had a hassle here, and I always leave impressed with how fast the experience is.
If you appreciate efficiency and historic beauty, this is hands down one of the best post offices around.”
“This is one of my go to post office locations when I am visiting family every couple months.
The city of South Pasadena finished their last phase in landscaping the remaining grassy area in the south side by the public parking lot.
Fun Fact:
They built a 100% California native, drought tolerant demonstration garden. Selected plants that are naturally suited to the hot and sunny weather while also supporting pollination and providing food and shelter for wildlife.
Plantings will have color at different times of year, and include Cleveland Sage, St. Catherine’s Lace Buckwheat, Toyon, a ‘Desert Museum’ Palo Verde tree, among other plants.”
“I am a huge advocate for the USPS, especially now since younger people don't understand the difference between the USPS and UPS. The people who work here are nice and know me as a regular. And they usually have the newest books of stamps on offer so I always get mine there.”
“Never have I ever felt compelled to write a review for a post office, good or bad. But today I went to this post office and the employee there (Carlos) was just so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, I felt compelled to write a review and to say “Go, Carlos!””
“went there two times at 12:45ish. the first time was no problem, the second time the employee was on an hour long lunch break so I had to go to another post office. not sure if this happens frequently but you may need to call to see if anyone is there during lunch time.”
“I've never had a bad experience at this office. The staff is super friendly! I work weekdays so I've only ever been in on the weekends. The line is always pretty long, but they get through it at a pretty quick pace!”
“Everyone here has been friendly and superbly helpful(and I have worked with everyone that's been here over the past decade).
Many of the bad reviews are for general frustrations with post office speed and delivery in general.
Solutions?
1. Remove people with conflicts of interest (ie DeJoy and Wos who may claim up to a total $75,815,000 in assets from U.S. Postal Service competitors, according to government records) from positions of power and/or force them do divest from companies that benefit from USPS's shortcomings.
2. Invest in your infrastructure and workers. Make sure there are enough mail carriers; ensure they are paid fair wages that raise with inflation; and prevent deteriorating labor standards which will inevitably get in the way of effective and efficient mail delivery. (The former removes many disincentives for this.)”
“I frequently visit the post office for my job, typically three to four times a week. Before Junior's arrival, my experiences there were quite unpleasant due to the unprofessional behavior of the clerks, who often displayed a rude attitude, making customers feel as though they were a burden. While the wait times were bearable, the poor customer service was truly disheartening, as the clerks seemed entitled and dismissive. However, since Junior has joined the team, the atmosphere has significantly improved. Despite the occasional long lines due to limited staff, Junior consistently demonstrates professionalism and kindness, always willing to assist customers. I have observed this change firsthand during my frequent visits. If Junior happens to read this, I want to express my gratitude for enhancing my workday with your courteous service; your efforts are genuinely appreciated.”
“all other USPS close an hour earlier on Saturdays. I drove to this location for a last day return. The workers were nice despite being tired during their last hour of their shift.”

“Best post office ever. There wasn't another soul in the place. When I went to the counter, I had to call to the back to find anyone who worked there, but he was very nice and helpful.”

“My go too post office because I live locally. Lines are not bad, if there is one at all. All of the clerks are super nice, friendly, and most importantly, helpful. Thank you always for the service. Peace”
“I had the pleasure of working with Michelle for my passport application, and I couldn’t be more grateful for her help. From start to finish, she was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and efficient. She guided me through every step of the process, answered all my questions clearly, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel completely manageable. Thanks to Michelle, my application was completed accurately and submitted on time. Her professionalism and kindness truly stood out. Highly recommend her if you need assistance—she’s fantastic!”
“Offers bulk drop off in the back if you have prepaid labels. Larger location and can save time if you buy postage ahead of time. Parking lot is pretty small and cramped so highly recommend parking on the street”
“came into with a depop order pretty late (2 minutes past closing) and Mike was very helpful in getting me in and out quickly even though i had no shipping box nor label. He’s really the reason why i’ll stick to this USPS rather than the ones in south central!”

“Just came to drop off a package. I’m not one to really mail anything out but Doug made everything so simple. He went out of his way to help me out and provide me better options.
People like Doug make this a better place!”
“I love this post office. Not only is it closest to me but they're always pretty fast, I know I'll be done in 5 minutes whenever I come here. They also sell gift cards and birthday cards which I feel is a nice touch :)”
“I wanted to say thank you to the warm hearted lady professional who works at the front desk (I wish I had your name) yesterday and today (5/28, 5/29). I had urgent calls about extremely important documents packages to pick up for my family trip departing the next day. She called me the 1st thing this morning to inform me of the package arrived. I now have the package. Greatly appreciated your help! Thank you thank you!!”
“It's a very small post office, right off Irwindale Ave and Arrow Hwy, on a side street directly across from a city park and the Irwindale Police Station. The parking lot has 4 spots, one is disabled only, however, there is parking permitted at it's curb on the street, which is why 4 stars. If you arrive at 2:00pm during weekdays, you'll have to come back at 2:30pm to allow the employees their lunch break. There's also the drive-up out-going stamped mailbox with the Priority Mailbox and Express in the parking area. It isn't as big as the Covina Post Office on Rimsdale or the West Covina P.O. nearby the West Covina Fashion Plaza which may discourage some but I find a bonus for no waiting, generally. It has a handicapped entrance and ramp next to disabled spot. And I've yet to see any of the postal employees being rude or unhelpful to any of the customers and there definitely is no woman by the door asking if you need stamps (really? it's so small, she'd get in the way if she existed) as one review claimed. I just like it because it's quick and easy if I need to go inside.”
“This is a small US Post Office in Montebello that offers all the services made possible by the USPS. It is open Monday through Friday until 4:30 pm. They close right on the dot. You can drop off letters, packages, rent a postal box, buy greeting cards, gift cards, and obviously buy stamps. The front desk postal workers are always friendly and very helpful. But please be patient when you decide to come here. They usually have one cashier servicing customers.”

“I visited this USPS location at 1:30PM, right after their lunch break and was pleasantly surprised to find no line. There was only one teller working, which can sometimes cause long waits, but luckily that wasn’t the case during my visit. Overall, it was a quick and smooth experience this time.”
“In general this is always a better post office than most. Today Helen helped me SO much with stamps I've been looking everywhere for, she really seems to care about the selection available. Cheers to her”
“I've always lived in this city and I go here most of the time. Bryan and Tracy usually help me. They are always cheery, helpful and very knowledgeable about how to send mail/packages. Last Saturday had a 5 minute wait. Not bad for a weekend. Excellent customer service.”
