“The Shops on Lake Avenue. This area extends from 345 through 455 South Lake Avenue 91101. It is on the west side of Lake Avenue. Some prompts from Google indicate that it is a larger area than it actually is. It is the original Bullock's department store in Pasadena. It has great historical and architectural significance. This area was developed to be a leisurely place to enjoy community, shopping, food. It was a new concept design specifically for this area. It is a walkable and enjoyable experience to shop and eat in this area. Now that it is Macy's they have continued to develop small boutique stores located alongside the lower edge of the building along Lake. Some of the small boutique stores have changed. The new stores have become very popular. Foundation stores like Trader Joe’s and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf keep bringing in new customers. It is important to check opening hours for the different stores as they vary from store to store. Parking is available in the Macy's parking lot adjacent. I believe it's 3 hours parking but double check always the printed signs. The last time I walked by the area I was impressed at the generational diversity. Nice to realize that some of the historic influences of the past are being carried on by a new generation. When visiting this is a great place to consider. It gives you a good foundation for understanding how Pasadena developed its friendly atmosphere. Look forward to coming back often!”

“I parked in front of here because I was eating at one of the restaurants in the same plaza. I went into check it out since I was curious to see what they have. They sold household appliances and gadgets, imported snacks, drinks, and etc. Definitely gave off the vibe of an Asian market. They also sold fresh veggies in there. Their prices were low for how fresh everything was. Prices for veggies were pretty low compared to other Asian supermarkets and the quality is very good. Definitely would recommend 10/10.”

Whole wheat fig bars that taste really good. 15 packs of flavored sparkling water for the price that Ralph's sells 8 packs of the same brand for. Those are just examples of what keeps me coming back. That, and they are disabled friendly with accessible parking spots and a nice electric shopping cart. If they didn't have that cart, I wouldn't be able to shop at that store.”
