I recently had my car serviced at Access Transmission and I have to say, I was extremely impressed with the level of service and expertise provided. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me feel at ease about leaving my car in their hands.

This place took care of me and got me back on the road within a day ! Way faster than the Dodge dealership would have without a doubt! Marco and his team took care of the problem and had a great customer service experience with him . Thank you !

My car is old (2004) and the car's CD player had quit working. The people at Aamco did research on this matter and discovered that this seems to be a problem found on some cars half as old as my car. I chose not to have any more labor spent on this matter due to this research.Services: Oil change

I would put a negative rating if I could. I choose AAMCO because of the warranty they offered. When I needed to have the warranty utilized I was told by the local shop the warranty was voided because it was another problem causing the transmission to fail. In fact it was the same problem just failed to be diagnosed correctly. When I pressed the national office, they hid behind the fact that all shops are individually owned. This shop stole almost 10000.00 on repairs and costs, and took weeks to fix. Vehicle transmission failed, I paid almost 5000.00 to have transmission completely rebuild. 1 week later transmission failed again. Shop rebuilt transmission again no charge. 2 Weeks later same problem transmission failed, now the local and national shop say the warranty has been voided it will cost on there 5000.00 to rebuild and diagnose. This company is despicable, the owner is a complete scam artist who will steal every dollar they can. DO NOT take your vehicle to this shop or TRUST AAMCO. STAY AWAY!!!!!!

I took my Ford F150 to the manager Marco and he said that I needed a new rearend and transmission! So they did a nice job fixing it! I brought it back a few months later and said that it is not running right, so he took it for the day and said the motor is blown! I said that I need to get another opinion! So I took it to Achy Breaky Auto in Agoura and they said it was bad spark plug! Marco is a good talker, make you believe you need somthing that you don't. Got stuck here coming back from a northern CA trip, with still about 100 miles left to get home. Alternator completely died. Marco helped us feel cared for and welcome as we waited for family to arrive (AAA totally let us down getting a tow home). He was accommodating of our stranded situation, and super kind to myself and my daughter. I ended up leaving my car there for 3 days while Marco ordered, got, and installed the part. There was no price gouging, and he did not try to oversell me anything else. In fact, he was reassuring that everything else on my car was fine. I can't tell you how much I appreciate encountering an honest car repair man & business. Thank you, Marco, for being a decent human being!Service: Electrical

I have to share my story to show how good and nice Marco at AAMCO Thousand Oaks was to me.I have a 2015 Ford Escape. I’ve always taken it to Ford dealer for service. About a month ago my Ford service advisor told me I need to do transmission fluid service and since I trust them I did it. It was first transmission service. After that my transmission would over heat when I turned on the AC. I took it back to Ford ( they gave me an appointment more than a week later ) They charged me $190 to look at it and then told me I need a new transmission and I need to leave a deposit to order it, it’ll take about two months. I took my Ford to AAMCO in Newbury Park for second opinion. Marco told me he’ll check it at no charge and it will be ready in 3 hours.Marco called in and said my car is ready and my transmission is okay. The over heating was because there was too much oil in the transmission. He said he brought the oil level to where it should be and the car is not overheating anymore. He mentioned that the oil was very clouded.I’m suspecting that technicians at Ford forgot to flush the fluid and just added oil.I was surprised that Marco didn’t charge me anything for fixing my transmission. That would’ve cost me so much. I really appreciate his work and honesty. I’m never going back to Ford for my services. I just found someone whom I can trust to do all my car services.Thank you MarcoService: Transmission

My parents didn’t know a single word of English and Marco took good care of them. He is bilingual, extremely helpful and informative, we had taken our Toyota to a couple of other shops before just to have the transmission fail a few miles after. Took it to Aamco and Marco explained what had failed and why it was causing the transmissions to fail. Haven’t had a problem with the transmission since and now we continue to take our car for any other repairs.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS (unless you're rich and willing to pay a ton of money for your car repairs). There is a reason why AAMCO and other chain transmission shops have a bad reputation. The manager Marco will try charging you 3x the cost of other places just for diagnosing your car (yes the diagnosis charge will go towards your insanely pricey repair) but they won't even fix anything at a reasonable price or try to work with you to save you some money. If people did these repairs themselves or found outside help then they'd save a lot of money. The repair prices are insanely high here and unreasonable.

Avoid this place at all costs. They overcharge and won't fix anything properly or at a reasonable cost. I barely have money to afford my other bills and they tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for nothing. Marco has a nasty attitude too, hopefully they get a better manager working there soon but I doubt it.

I purchased a 93' jeep wrangler and wanted to have the transmission and gear shifter checked due to rough shifting. "Marco" (I think that was his name) was very friendly, professional, and took his time to explain the process to me. After leaving my jeep for a few hours he called and said his mechanic and himself drive it. They broke down how transmissions work and explained everything in a way I could follow. He found exactly what I expected as well as my friend who is a mechanic expected. After all his effort and time the inspection was FREE! I would highly recommend these guys based on my one and o ly experience with them. I will be back for sure if I need transmission work in the future.
