A little shady. I called twice and got two different (corporate rates) only to discover they were two different rates and were NOT discounted rates. I don't know what game they are playing, but honesty isn't exactly it. The first guy hung up on me. (shady)
I suspect they gauge customers calling for a discounted rate. Also, the rooms are noisy as heck with the freeway just outside your window. Watch them closely. Something shady here...

We felt this was one of our better hotel stays that we’ve had in quite a long time. The only thing I would do different in the future is maybe asked to be further away from the lower floors where people are actually doing things outside.
Rooms: Rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. Then included microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot along with central air and other amenities. All worked well.
Safety: We felt that because the doors had to be opened with a key that only hotel guest would be entering the room area. Which in my mind is very safe.
Food & drinks: The restaurant they have attached to this hotel the Pizza Cookery was extremely good.
Took me back to the last time I had visited one of these locations nearly 20 years ago.

My wife and I had a comfortable stay. However, we cannot ignore the discrepancies. Perhaps the room had not been occupied in a while, but there was a lot of dust everywhere. The loose handle and shower head are a safety concern and need to be fixed.
The hotel is well priced with great courteous staff. Everyone was kind and extremely professional. Hotel is located off of the 101 and a few minutes from The Oaks (mall). Hotel guests can workout at the local Gold’s gym. Breakfast vouchers are available at the front desk. Hotel feels safe and room key is required to get into area to access the rooms.
Breakfast had limited options (pork bacon, potatoes, scrambled eggs, pancake machine). Also, breakfast is placed on top of the bar. I had to serve my 5FT wife. She simply could not reach without a possible accident. We only had breakfast there on the first day. We did not return.

This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, especially for the price. I truly feel like this is the cleanest place I have stayed. The front desk and housekeeping team and so so kind and helpful. It's a beautiful property with great views in and out of the room. There's a beautiful courtyard my 2 year old is loving to run around. This place is also so central, it's great will stay again

I recently spent 3 nights here on business. The front desk and housekeeping staff were excellent and the price includes a substantial buffet breakfast of hot and cold foods.
The location is conveniently close to the freeway and several retailers and restaurants. As a solo female traveler, safety is my foremost concern and I felt safe here. My only concern is that it was a little noisy at times

I was very pleased with my stay at this location. Great room, delicious breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful staff.
I felt safe and that my truck and trailer were secure at night.
Great location, very central to anywhere in the area, L.A., beaches, etc.
I went on a trail ride that was advertised on the Best Western web site on their activities page.
It was, overall, an excellent experience.
Rooms: I had a fourth floor room with a balcony overlooking the parking lot, upon my request.
The room was great! I felt right at home for the duration of my stay
Nearby activities: There's list of activities on the BW web site. I went on a trail ride the the Malibu hills at Paramount Ranch. Super fun!
Safety: I travel alone for business and security is important to me. My truck and trailer were parked in my line of site from my room.
The key card access doors worked well and I had no issues with de-magnetization of my access cards.

We came here with a group of forty people. They gave us our room keys and literally none of them worked. We had to wait about half an hour as one by one our keys were reprogrammed to work on our assigned doors. When we finally got into our room, we went to close the curtains, and go to bed, and the curtain rod broke off. It wasn’t anything other than normal trying to close the curtains. Then when we went to go to the bathroom, the toilet was crooked. The entire thing was awkwardly angled several degrees to the left. The blankets and pillows were covered in hair and stains. We were left a note that had an extension we could call if we wanted to contact the cleaning service. It went to voicemail. So I walked to the front desk. The guy said, “alright, I’ll give you a flat sheet and a fitted sheet and you can go change them.” So, instead of giving us a new room or sending a cleaning maid, we would have to clean this gross stained hairy sheet. I went back to my room, and when I unfolded both sheets, I had been given two flat sheets. So I went back, and asked for a fitted sheet, which he gave me.So now my wife and I are finally in bed, after waiting over half an hour for a functional key and changing our sheets. We have the gross hairy sheets in a pile in the corner. It was a pretty awful experience all the way through. If you can stay somewhere else I would HIGHLY recommend it.

What a great spot for anyone on a long road trip. It’s rather secluded, away from the busiest streets, yet it’s right by the freeway. They have a large library room with a huge wall of books, including the classics. One great addition I’ve never seen at a motel — massage chairs! Perfect for anyone needing to decompress after a long haul up the freeway. The breakfast was welcome. They also have live music some evenings.

Freeway traffic kept me from sleeping. The room was cold with the heater on. Bedding didn't keep me warm. I could see light from outside under the rooms door. Refridgerator was wobbly, I thought it would fall out. TV was difficult to figure out. It was a big room. Appeared clean.

Great prices for a well-kept nice hotel highly suggest staying here. I have to work and live out a hotels 22 days a month this Best Western is on my top 10 list for Budget price hotels! You can get to many restaurants and shop locations within a 5 to 10 minute walk.
☆☆☆Note to management: I give a big thank you to a housekeeper named Melissa she does excellent work keeping my room and others perfectly clean, much better than Hilton and Marriott hotels. She would be an ideal person for training any new housekeeping staff you hire. Also a maintenance worker by the name of Francisco he goes above and beyond what normal maintenance workers do it was great seeing somebody cleaning the stairwells and other parts of the hotel that don't normally get cleaned I notice all the little details at hotels I stay at. He obviously takes pride in his job and does excellent work as well. Also your manager Daniel who has helped me out with printing and faxing out work documents at the desk give him a big thank you for me as I already did. **It is people like these that make my day enjoyable seeing a well maintained building, safe parking lot. I'm sure there are many more employees here that do excellent jobs but these are just the people I have encountered the most. If I get deployed to this area again I'll be sure to stay here!
My only suggestion would be having a computer and printer available in the morning to those of us here on work assignments.
Rooms: Rooms are very large and modern refrigerator is twice the size of a normal Hotel makes a big difference if you're staying here for a long time.

I give the maintenance staff a big thank you for the amazing work they do, keeping this hotel running smoothly. These guys deserve something special! If I had the money I'd buy the whole crew lunch so I really hope the management can do that for me. The hotel maintenance is what keeps the building in perfect working order and customers happy. Also working on a fire department my brain is always checking for fire hazards I would give this hotel a five star review in that aspect because everything I have seen sofar is in great working order.
⭐️Management: I would like to see something extra special done for all of your maintenance staff other than just a pat on the back or congratulations for doing a good job. They deserve more than that! I realy hope to hear back from management them letting me know what they did for their maintenance crew. These guys are the glue that keep your hotel in good working order. Without them a hotel would fall apart.

Highly suggest staying at this Best Western it has excellent prices safe parking lot and very kind employees. I do hope management can see the excellent work your maintenance and housekeeping does I will be staying here again because of that reason. I bumped into a nice man by the name of Francisco this evening who was doing jobs I've never seen done at other hotels, because of all your maintenance workers like this I know this hotel is well-kept good working condition. It's the small things that catch my eye but it makes a big deal to me and makes me want to return again.
Walkability: There are many restaurants and shops within a short walking distance.

The hotel was in a center location and the room was quite clean. Liked the breakfast that was offered too.

Even though this was a working trip Best Western Plus Thousand Oaks made my stay enjoyable and extremely comfortable. It made my working trip seem like a vacation.
