I visited Francesca's for the first time today, and it will be my last. I was in there shopping for a gift for my sister in law. I wasn't 100% sure what I should get for her, so I took a quick picture of a hat, to ask my husband. Nancy (the employee) came up to me and asked what I was looking for. She didn't even finish listening to my answer before she walked away. Then I was looking at the hat some more, with my phone in my hand, because I was waiting to hear from my husband. She then told me, "Do NOT take pictures in here." I said back, "Oh! Sorry! I just took one quick picture to send to my husband." Her response was just, "Don't take pictures!" - There was no sign posted to not take pictures. Otherwise I would not have. And even if that is the rule, she could have been kind about it, instead of snapping at me. I honestly have never been treated so rudely by someone. If they are that serious about a rule, it should be made known by signs or in the least, KINDLY expressed.

Updated to add: I made a complaint to the district manager of the Thousand Oaks store location. She called me back to address what happened. She was incredibly kind and lovely to talk to. I appreciated the call back to discuss what happened.

I used to love coming here, but ever since a new manager came I have to check the store and see if people are in there before I'm comfortable going in. It's one thing to be helpful with customer service, but when I come here it feels like every move I make is being watched. They have to know what my plans are, what I'm looking for, my name, etc and it feels like I have no time to shop by myself. Today I stopped my the mall looking for some cute earrings and I thought I would look in the store because they have such a large selection. I definitely was not in the mood to small talk with the sales manager, but I still smiled and said hi when I walked in. She was busy with other customers so I kept to myself and was perfectly happy with that. Then I made eye contact with her and smiled and she rudely went "what so you're not gonna say hi or anything?". I felt so incredibly uncomfortable that I made my way out of the store. I've worked retail before so I know management wants you to socialize with people, but if people are shy don't be rude to them. I just feel like the customer service is too heavy. Maybe I'll just shop online from now on :(.

If your looking for overpriced low-quality clothing look no further. Here's the deal, boutiques geared toward teens are hard to come by in TO so Francesca's is kinda the only option for a quick birthday gift or random shirt you need for picture day. Most of their items scream TJ MAXX but let's charge double. I would have no issue pay $70.00 for a dress if I know it'll last me a long time but here no matter how cute the item is 9 times out of 10 it'll end up having loose threads in the first few wears. The staff is "sweet" honestly this just might be my introverted self speaking but the close quarters of the store don't leave much opportunity to shop in peace. First, the interrogate you for what your shopping for....... girl i just walked in let me check it out first. Next, there's this looming pressure to buy what you try on because they are all about hyping you up here. I don't know.... I'll have to come back on black Friday when they have a decent sale and the staff is too busy work the register to ask me what color of shoe, sunglasses, and socks I want to add to my tank top purchase.

I bought a few things online and I had to exchange a few things for a bigger size. They tried to charge me to exchange the dress when I had already bought it. They're explanation was "that's how returns work". Be very careful!!!

Went in few days ago and met one of the most amazing sales associates I've ever seen. Her name was Kate I believe. I work at four seasons hotel and her service was even better than most employees there! I'm a guy so and she could tell I was confused and was patient and helped me the whole time.

If I could leave no stars, I would. Both times I have been to this store, the employees made me feel uncomfortable. My friends and I have full time jobs, our own houses, and a lot of tattoos. We are nice people, but I feel as if we were judged immediately by appearance. The employees were so aggressive in following us around, wouldn't stop talking to us, and tried getting things out of our hands constantly. There comes a point where customer service and loss prevention can go too far. The manager asked several times if she could take our items from our hands and put them at the register for us, which my friends didn't seem to mind, but I wanted to hold onto the dress I was holding because I was uncomfortable and was going to buy it. I told her I was unsure if I was going to buy it, and she insisted on taking it from me. When I stood my ground and said I'd rather hold onto it, while I was in line to buy it, she gave attitude. I would have purchased the dress if she had just let me hold onto it. Since she took it from me after asking too many times and giving attitude, I did not buy the dress, and will never shop there again. I was standing in line to buy it, it was the only item in my hand, and it's times of covid 19. I did not want her hands on it after I had seen her touching everything in the store, and once it was out of my hands, I didn't care anymore. She had already asked too many personal questions like "where do you live" and "what are your names", meanwhile not maintaining a safe distance for Covid 19. It was obvious she did not respect her customers boundaries. Last year when I was Christmas shopping I had a similar experience in this store, where they followed me around and I felt very judged. I hope this helps them treat future customers with respect, and stops them from judging people by their appearance. I also hope it helps others to not bother shopping there. My friends and I will not be back. Sincerely, three girls with tattoos more expensive than your rent, who also have full time jobs and don't need your store.

Living in the same area, My daughter and myself have frequented this location, countless times. It is truly my daughters favorite store. Though, everyone on your staff is always helpful and friendly, you have one particular employee that goes the extra mile. Tatiana! She has always made our experience five stars, but recently she really outshined herself. With the coronavirus making shopping difficult for anyone, especially to someone as myself, who is in the lower immunity category, the precautions that were taken, were appreciated and helped ease my anxiety. If it wasn't for the fact that my daughter wished for only one particular dress for her birthday... I wouldn't have gone to the mall at all. Upon entering, I immediately saw that the polka dot 3 tier dress was no longer on the display. Mere steps farther in, I was greeted by Tatianas cheerful welcoming smile. I explained the situation, and she instantly went to the computer, determined to locate what I was looking for. As she was walking back towards me, Tatiana said that there was one in the correct size in the store... and like a beautiful magician, just "piling!" Quickly Pulled it from the clearance rack! I was thrilled! Not only did she find exactly what I specifically came to purchase, but on sale as well? And to make the experience not just better, but unforgettable, was when I saw the complete surprise, and a smile from ear to ear on my daughter's face... that dress was worth a million to me!! Thank you... Tatiana, your the best!!

Really pretty clothes for cheap and unique gift options! They currently have a lot of cute dresses on sale for under $5, which is an absolute bargain. Great place to shop for a date outfit while on a budget as long as you stay in the sale racks. Their gifts are also great! Was able to get two books for my parents and a bunch of smaller things for my roommates during Christmas season. There's a lot of unique finds! The staff are super friendly, especially if you're a regular. I sometimes get surprised that they are able to remember my name when I walk in! They're all very kind and nice to talk to. I haven't had a single experience shopping there where one of the staff members didn't ask me if I needed help or what occasion I need an outfit for. They also take care of your products, wrapping them before they place them in your bag that way it doesn't ruin or break on the trip home! Overall great store and great staff!

Saw the cutest dress while walking by and came in just to try it on. Was greeted by the rudest employees ever. She waited outside the fitting room the ENTIRE time I was changing. She definitely judged me and made me so uncomfortable with the comments she was making while I changed.. just disgusting.

Really bad quality clothing. I got a dress there a few weeks ago and I've worn it a few times and it's already ripping at the seams. I really didn't pay $50 for a dress to rip after a few wears.

I came a week ago and received super awesome and friendly customer service from Nancy! It made me excited to shop there. Unfortunately one of the necklaces I bought broke so I went back in and Nancy kindly exchanged it for another one. She was very sweet and understanding. They also have amazing sales!
