Mad Attic is a well-established thrift store serving Thousand Oaks and the surrounding area since 1960. Run entirely by volunteers, the shop is small but very organized, making it easy to browse through a good selection of items. Customers can find clothing, shoes, books (priced at $2 for hardcover and $1 for softcover), CDs, and housewares, with some sections offering additional discounts. The store does not carry electronics. Parking is available in the back with a clearly marked entrance, and the front entrance is also accessible. The staff is known for being super friendly, welcoming, and helpful, often wrapping purchases carefully. Many visitors appreciate the fair prices, which are sometimes negotiable, and the friendly service that makes browsing enjoyable. The store encourages donations, with proceeds supporting various local charities in a rotating manner. Visitors often find unique items, from children’s clothes and toys to glassware, pottery, and even new items like bangles, shirts, and small kitchen appliances. During special sales, such as 50% off for the holiday season, shoppers can score great deals on Christmas decorations and collectibles like Spode Christmas dishes. Overall, Mad Attic is a clean, organized, and friendly thrift shop offering a variety of affordable items for all ages.
I cannot recommend this place enough, from the moment I walked in, I was met by the MOST lovely people. The store was very well organized and everyone was so helpful! If I could give 20 stars, I would! Will be returning often!!!

The Mad Attic is a great Thrift Store, I love the antique china/ glassware, retro finds, and gorgeous jewelry. The volunteer staff is so kind, and the proceeds go to over 21 local charities. It’s a great place to shop and to donate. Sustainability at its best, Feel good about shopping here!

The people that work there are so nice and friendly. Merchandise is great and very reasonably priced. I've been to another popular store in Neenury Park and a couple of workers there are not .so obliging. Quite a difference.
