Took the pooch for follow up ear evaluation. The doc fixed pooch up with ear gunk and another shot in addition to take home meds. Darn pooch and them ears, yearly infection. Made another appointment to get pooches teeth cleaned as well. Chick Ching you know but pooch is a an expensive friend to have around.

During a recent distressing visit to your clinic, my family and I were met with a level of care that was not only inadequate but dangerously misinformed. Upon presenting our dog, who was suffering from a serious condition, we were astounded by the initial suggestion of administering vaccinations as she was dry heaving on the table, demonstrating a troubling lack of situational awareness from your staff. Further compounding our dismay, the attending veterinarian prescribed an anti-inflammatory drug and an antibiotic--treatments that are entirely ineffectual for a collapsed trachea. This approach is as misguided as administering Advil to a person with a collapsed lung, underscoring a critical lapse in medical judgement. Moreover, the advice to alleviate our dog's anxiety by physically manipulating her breathing was not only ineffectual but was later identified by a specialist as exacerbating her distress by assisting her suffocation. This advice, which we followed in desperation, ultimately contributed to a severe worsening of her condition. It is with a heavy heart that I recount the culmination of these missteps, which ultimately increased my dogs suffering and anxiety. This lead to the heart-wrenching decision to euthanize our beloved pet that same night. While I acknowledge the challenging nature of veterinary care, it is imperative that this profession be underpinned by both competence and current medical knowledge. Unfortunately, our experience was marked by outdated practices and a lack of critical awareness that had dire consequences for our family member. I strongly urge others to seek veterinary care elsewhere, where staff are both current in their medical understanding and attuned to the nuances of their patients' conditions. It is my hope that sharing our ordeal will prevent future families from enduring similar anguish..

I once gave a beautiful review of this practice until I found out that a well known medication error was committed by the doctor. The vet suggested Prozac in addition to the 200mg of Trazadone my weim had been on daily for 8 years to help with anxiety while he was kenneled. I questioned the vet and said even with humans it is contraindicated to prescribe trazodone, and Prozac, and I had been warned by other veterinary professionals that the dog shouldn't be given this combo, because it could cause serotonin reuptake syndrome, seizures, and death. The vet brushed off my questions and said it was safe despite my apprehension about the medication combo. Jager was given his first dose of Prozac and shortly after began to violently convulse, seized, and his body became rigid. There was no saving him. My dog died a horrific death, no meds could break the seizure (the dog did not have a history of seizures). When telling the vet of his medical error he said "well it could have been anything maybe a brain tumor." Sobbing I told this vet what he had done and how it caused my dog to die a horrific, painful, and preventable death he nonchalantly told me "well who would have known and he prescribed a small dose," this was even after I told him other vets warned of this reaction. He did not in anyway offer any assistance or to even help with our dogs cremation, there was zero empathy from this man. I did not go to him for anxiety meds but to treat a UTI, the vet suggested the Prozac and brushed off my concerns. My dog died of a well known medication combination side effect. Google SSRI syndrome and if Prozac can be combined with trazadone, everything says no. I spent $850 at the vet to treat my dogs UTI and a $20 prescription of Prozac caused a horrific prolonged and painful death that has traumatized my children.

I was in desperate need for health certificates and they were able to see me the day after I called. The entire staff was incredibly caring and helpful towards my situation, took the extra time to look up and fill forms needed for a military PCS, and even offered that I return the next day if I needed further help or guidance. Never been to a vet clinic that went above and beyond like that, whether for current or childhood pets. If I weren't moving to Japan, I'd stick with them!!

'Dr Bill has to be the best vet I've been to in many years. He really does seem to love dogs. After thoroughly examining my beagle and pups he asked about our whelping box (ours was inadequate), what we were feeding the mother (we've made corrections ) and gave us loads of advice on puppy care. My old vet is about 3 miles away and Midtown 28 miles, definitely worth the extra drive.

I took our black Lab for required shots to renew her license and while there the doctor mis handled my dog and got bit, he admitted it was his mistake and we left. Fast forward several years, our lab was having problem's, so we made an appointment. They required a $100 minimum deposit for our visit. When I arrived, they were not ready and gave me the wrong paperwork After helping them to straighten things out. The doctor came in and said "last time I saw her she was attached to my arm". It went downhill from there. He would not get close to her even muzzled. He suggested blood work and I reluctantly agreed and held my girl while they stuck her in the neck for blood. Then they stuck her 3 more times with syringes we did not talk about, and I didn't know what they were. They then handed me a $550 bill. My dog has not been the same since, I wish we never went back

I brought my cat in because he wasn’t eating, our usual vet couldn’t see him as it was considered emergency. Dr Thomas came up with a plan and saved his life. I’m so grateful to Dr Thomas and his wonderful staff. I love Midtown Vet.

Look elsewhere for better care. The doctor did not take appropriate time and did not perform hands on examination. Has he thoroughly examined my pet, he would not misdiagnose the problem. He was quick to tell me what he wants to have done and basically dismissed my concerns. Got a second opinion at a different vet place. It turned out, the medication and treatment were insufficient and my pet would have died have I not got a second opinion at a different vet place. I also noticed there is never a wait at this place. Now I know why. I feel bad for the front office staff to work for this guy. I will never go to this place again.

I can't thank Midtown Vet enough for seeing our 15 year old cat that had never been to a vet, except for shots as a kitten. They were all wonderful. Kingsley was as comfortable as can be.

Dr Thomas is wonderful. We took our bunnies to him. He was very empathetic when we learned that one of our bunnies may have cancer. He understood that we couldn't afford to do all of the treatments. He was honest in telling us the treatments may not even work. So he offered alternative treatments to keep our bunny comfortable. Our bunny lived another 6 months or so. His pricing seemed very fair and I never had the feeling he was trying to nickel and dime us. I would and have recommended him to anyone with a pet.
