Kendall is AMAZING! We got married at Sherwood country club and it would not have been possible without her. She’s kind, competent, and super responsive. She helped us through a lot of planning challenges with grace and ease. She’s incredible at her job and added so much happiness to our weekend. Sherwood is also the most beautiful venue - our wedding turned out better than we ever imagined. We cannot wait to come back and visit this special place!

Sherwood Country Club was the perfect venue for our daughter Kristin’s wedding. We essentially “owned the place” for her special day. The grounds and surrounding hills are absolutely beautiful, and the drive up to the country club through Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks lends an impressive sense of class before you even get to the country club (not to mention the breathtaking estates once you enter the main gate.)
The Sherwood staff, headed by Kendall Newman, worked with our family and wedding planner every step of the way. No glitches or any service problems on the wedding day whatsoever. The food and beverage service for the reception was timely and first class. The food was “celebrity chef” exceptional, from the post-ceremony hors d’oeuvres to the reception dinner’s main course of filet mignon and salmon. Our guests repeatedly said “I’ve been to a lot of weddings, but this is the best wedding I’ve ever been to.”
And, no, I don’t work for Sherwood, and our family did not know Kendall Newman before our first visit and initial site tour. I strongly recommend you check-out Sherwood before you make any decisions about venues, you won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I got married here and this venue was perfect. It had everything we would ever need: gorgeous view, great amount of space, parking, get ready areas, amazing staff, incredible food and drinks, and so much more. Kendall, who was our point person, was incredible. She radiates kindness and made the entire process so much simpler. And if we ever got confused, she’d be right there to help. We are so incredibly blessed we found this place!

Kendall and Kailee at The Sherwood Country Club were a miracle find when our original venue fell through only 2 months from our wedding date. From the moment we reached out, Kendall was super responsive and quick to send us all the information and schedule a visit for us! The venue itself blew us out of the water with the amazing mountain backdrop, gorgeous lawn and terrace, and classic ballroom! Not to mention their INCREDIBLE FOOD!!! Our guests are still raving about how it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had!! All the facilities were so well-kept and private for the day of celebration, which we also loved! And the staff was extremely professional, well-organized, and super friendly. I found that their pricing was also very fair and 100% worth your investment. I hope to someday visit the country club again for a vow renewal or anniversary in the future. Thank you Kendall and team for the most beautiful and special wedding!

As a wedding photographer with a background in architectural and landscape photography, I absolutely LOVE shooting weddings here! It's my favorite venue in Ventura County to work at, with regards to the lighting, location, and what the venue overall has to offer. Especially if you are looking for a luxurious, glamorous, and celebrity vibe, Sherwood Country Club should be your go to. I photographed a wedding 3 days ago there and already sent the couple over 100 sneak peeks, so here are some of my favorites :D

We had our son's Brit Milah at Sherwood Country Club and they did a fabulous job!! They worked with us a lot on so many things. What I expected to be a stressful time (only 8 days to plan an event) was made so easy by their director of events, Heather. She was so kind, helpful, accommodating and just an all around pleasure to work with. The event was beautiful and the food and service were wonderful. I really couldn't have asked for a better venue. I highly recommend having any event here!!

5 star all the way, this is way out of my league but a friend of mine somehow pulled a Tee time. Cost me an arm and a leg but was totally worth it since it will probably be a once in a lifetime opportunity. Tuff track, fairways are tight, lies are tight, there are no flat lies everything is side hill or up or down it's tuff. Great greens, the roll perfectly hot to fast and a lot of movement, really fun holes. Great staff, friendly, they bring you anything you want on the course. It's a neighborhood course which isn't my favorite style to play but the homes are every man's dream just mansion after mansion.

From the moment my husband and I set foot at Sherwood, we knew right away it was the perfect place for our wedding. And we were right! Throughout the entire wedding planning process, Kendall was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns we had. On the day of the wedding itself, Sherwood exceeded all of my expectations. While the venue was visually breathtaking, it was Kendall and the Sherwood event staff's incredible efficiency that made it so easy for us to connect with all of our guests, take in every moment, and truly enjoy the day to its fullest as bride and groom! The venue itself is undeniably stunning, but what truly set Sherwood apart was the exceptional organization of the event staff who ensured everything ran smoothly and seamlessly. They were able to make our vision come to life, and I cannot thank them enough for making our special day absolutely perfect!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a mom mixer event at Sherwood Country Club, this place always knocks it out of the park! From the moment I stepped onto the grounds, I was struck by how immaculately kept everything was. Not a single piece of garbage in sight - just pristine beauty as far as the eye could see. Security - it's top-notch, just as you'd expect from a fancy schmancy country club like Sherwood. The gates are always secure, adding an extra layer of exclusivity to the experience. You've got to be on the guest list to even get onto the grounds, which definitely makes you feel like you're part of something special. The food, I got to try a couple of nibbles from their kitchen, and they were absolutely divine. The hummus, paired with their house wine, was a match made in heaven. The truffle flatbread was also a standout and loved the amount of umami they put in! And just when I thought it couldn't get any better, they brought out the chocolate chip cookies. They were the perfect ending to the spring mixer - just the right level of sweetness to satisfy my cravings. It's the perfect spot for any event, whether you're mingling with other moms or just enjoying a relaxing evening out. Can't wait for my next visit!

I had my dream wedding in April 2024 at Sherwood CC thanks to Kendall Newman. There's not one single thing I would change. My guests were truly impressed with the location and setup, everyone said it was the best wedding they've ever been to. It unexpectedly rained right before my ceremony and my coordinator along with the team quickly transformed my wedding to take place inside. It ended up being even more beautiful than I could imagine. Kendall Newman is a rock star! There's no way I could have done this wedding without her. Kendall is patient, professional, charismatic, resourceful, detailed oriented and held my hand every step of the way. If I could give Kendall more than 5 stars I would.
