Easy to schedule a visit, great reminders, the staff were friendly and very patient and affectionate with my cat. Dr Cody made me feel safe and heard. No fear tactics or upselling. I'm trilled to have a good vet for my little cat.

I cannot say enough good things about Christine,Drew and Dr. Cody. When our cat got sick we started calling and they worked us in from Bakersfield. They are awesome people and really treated our cat well.

I was pleasantly surprised! Taking cats to a new vet you never know what you are going to get and how big the bill would be. The vet was knowledgeable and did not try to do any unnecessary tests. He treated my old lady carefully. I tried other vets in the area and was charged 3x's more. I can afford to bring in my other 3 cats for check ups! Yay!! So excited to have found him. And my kids LOVE the little play center.

I am so grateful for Dr. Cody and his team. For the decade that I've had my cat I had taken her somewhere else, I wish I had known about The Cat Doctor sooner. If you want a team of people who will love and care about your cat like you do, then I highly recommend going here. They take their time and even provide a full summary about your visit. Any time I call they are patient and go above and beyond to help answer my questions. My cat's comfort zone is her bed so the team even lets her stay in it while they treat her thanks for taking such great care of Olive!

This will be my last review for a long while because our beloved Soft Kitty went to be with her sister Hard Kitty last week. Soft stopped eating and was struggling so we made an emergency visit to see Doctor Cody. After our detailed feedback, his examination and her age (18 1/2) he diagnosed her with kidney failure. Dr. Cody did not recommend additional testing but we requested some bloodwork just to confirm. We appreciated Dr. Cody not pushing costly tests on an already difficult situation. The tests confirmed his diagnosis and we made plans to bring her back in a couple of days to have her put to sleep. Right when we walked in Christine ushered us into the love room (that's what I call it) which we greatly appreciate. We loved Soft up and when it was time Dr Cody came into the room. He genuinely shared his condolences and sat on the ground next to Soft and petted her. He told us that it was a selfless thing to do and it was the right thing to do. Soft went peacefully and we are grateful for all of the warmth and kindness shown by Dr. Cody, Drew and Christine and the entire staff! RIP Soft Kitty

It's unfortunate that The Cat Doctor has endorsed this demeaning vendor as I remember The Cat Doctor as competent. This is one of the snottiest stores I've ever been in. Using Instacart they dispensed a defective product. Trying to correct that was horribly inconvenient and demeaning. Fire whoever is managing. Clearly she is not competent at customer service. There are a lot of young people hoping for jobs. Why have you hired this ignorant. My order was pushing $200. WTF how arrogant does it get?

Dr Cody & his staff are very kind & have great bedside manners! My cat does not like dogs & used to have anxiety when it came to her yearly physical exam but after doing research on the nearest cat only doctor she no longer has as much anxiety as before. Both her & I have a great experience going to the vet! The prices in my opinion are very reasonable.

If anyone is looking for the absolute best and most caring, compassionate and extremely competently professionally skilled veterinarian in Ventura county then THE CAT DOCTOR is the only veterinarian with which you should In trust your pet. This veterinarian and staff sits the competence bar for professional and compassionate care far beyond the reach of any other veterinarian facility in Ventura and surrounding counties. In addition THE CAT DOCTOR sacrifices well deserved high costs of care for EXTREMELY low compassionate fees for such high quality professional service. The only reason that I can see for this quality of service from this highly qualified and trained veterinarian at these sacrificial fees is due to a pure heart felt love for animals and especially cats.

The best experience EVER, EVER, EVER!! I am so happy I found Dr. Cody!! He was excellent with my cat Seamus! His staff is incredible! He was thorough and didn’t suggest a bunch of test, he addressed all my issue. Super professional, compassionate and friendly! I love Dr. Cody and his staff!! He will be my cats forever doctor!
