I am so grateful to Alberto for his incredible alteration work on my wedding dress! His level of expertise is unmatched. I had a wedding across the country and he ensured my dress was ready on time. A zipper broke on my dress and he over night ordered over 10 different zippers from the designer to get the strongest and best fitting one. His wife and daughter, who both work at the business, welcome you by name and are extremely kind and friendly. He truly makes you feel like the most important client. You can tell how passionate he is by his attention to detail. Thank you Alberto!

Alberto and team did an amazing job on my wedding dress. His attention to detail is what I loved most…he even made one more final adjustment day I was picking up because he is proud of his work. Alberto did a fantastic job with my dress alterations! Everything turned out beautifully and perfectly on time. It was a wonderful experience as well, everyone was so kind and helpful. I truly love my wedding gown and all the hard work he put into it! I highly recommend!!

I absolutely hate writing negative reviews but I feel like I have to say something about my experience at Alberto’s. When I look back my wedding, my biggest regret was getting my dress altered here. First off, he’s extremely narcissistic, aggressive, and impatient. He has zero respect for anyone but himself and peacocked the entire time about his skills. I was a young bride, stressed and eager to cross the alterations off my long to do list but I wish more than anything I went elsewhere. He charged me an exorbitant price, probably 6x the average and his work was average. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere!

Excellent service. Excellent customer care! Had a short notice request after realizing that, well...my suit pants needed for an important meeting just 3 days away on the east Coast didn't fit anymore! Walked into VIP Alterations on Wednesday and picked up two pair of perfectly fitting pants the early the next day. I can't say enough good things about the VIP Alterations team! They certainly understood my immediate needs and delivered. The entire process of reviewing my current fit, conducting measurements and paying for the alterations took no more than 10 minutes! That's again team. I'll certainly be back the next time I need an alteration.

Alberto and his families are so lovely! They helped me with my wedding dress alteration. I needed my dress bust to be expanded, which i was worried that i would look not the best, but alberto did it like no problem and it looked like an original dress but with fitting like a glove on my body. They were flexible and accomodating with my request and dress was done so beautifully! I can trust him to do anything with utmost professjonalism. Overall experience was just so positive!! With an incredibly short time to find a dress and make alterations, I prayed it would all work out how it should! I was referred to Alberto from Bella Bridal in Thousand Oaks. I was so blessed to meet Alberto, who was gracious and kind to my mom and I who came in immediately after finding my wedding gown on an early Tuesday afternoon. Immediately after meeting, I felt connected to him! I saw not only how special he was, but how gifted he is and such a master at his craft with his background and expertise in tailoring. With a small courthouse wedding exactly a week out, Alberto was kind and courteous, even for not having much time! As we began, he explained how his vision may be different from my own, but his vision was truly a beautiful masterpiece as he altered my dress to fit me just as it should! Thank you Alberto, from the bottom of my heart. You and your team have been wonderful and I will never be able to thank you enough for all you've done for me, and to make my dream and vision of my wedding gown, far more beautiful than I could have imagined! I can't thank you all enough for providing such a happy and positive experience to my very short wedding planning time! This place has done a lot of work for me and they are usually pretty good but they ruined one pair of expensive jeans by cutting one of the legs too short and could not fix it. I had to throw them away - big waste of money considering the tailoring expense and the cost of the jeans. Very very annoying.

Before the clock strikes midnight 2024 in California, I wanted to write and express the absolutely heart-warming experience, I was fortunate to have with Alberto of VIP Alterations, this past March, 2023. Alberto was tasked by myself (through Sarah from Bella Bridal Couture) to alter an absolutely stunning silk gown. that Alberto sweetly said was a bit "too sexy" in the bodice, for my darling mother to don, during our final farewell. Once I saw that it was time to let Alberto work his magic and modify the beautiful couture gown into a more modest, queenly state to befit my mother, I trusted and left him to it. He did not disappoint, but rather outdid himself! I asked Alberto to ensure that the gown would be ready in time for the special dry cleaners, and then for my flight. To my joy and surprise, when I went to collect the dress, he let me know that he had already had it specially cleaned, and had covered the cost! I was astounded and so grateful. He was another unexpected angel that had crossed my path. In the end my mother's farewell gown looked truly exquisite, with a subtle and perfect bateau neck alteration. It was pristine and I could not have imagined having a better experience. Thank you, Alberto! Many blessings to you and yours, in 2024.

I had 2 wedding dresses and both had to be drastically altered. One had to be transformed from a full blown Cinderella dress to a knee length party dress! Alberto’s was fantastic! My gowns fit like a glove and looked incredible ~ I also referred one of the men in the bridal party for his tux and my husband also had his tux altered - all to perfection !!

Less than 4% of my 230 reviews are 1 star. Picked up my alterations today and cried as soon as I got out of there. I have never in my life been treated so poorly- like I'm not a human. I'm concerned for future patrons that have to deal with the owner Alberto, and hope this review catches them first. I got 2 pants and 3 skirts tailored here for their waists to be taken in, mainly. Unfortunately, the first pant I tried on upon pick-up today led me to ask Alberto and the older lady working there about the drooping front loophole and zipper area. Alberto would not let me finish a sentence before shoving papers in my face. A brand new $600 work pant that I have not yet worn, ruined. I'd never spent on a pair of pants like this before- but got a new job and splurged. I told them I came here despite how pricey they are because I wanted a reliable tailor Astronomical prices for basic alterations = basic alterations getting completed properly, right? WRONG. Alberto was alarmingly quick to cut me off, and the behavior I had to endure for the next 40 minutes was absolutely FRIGHTENING. He aggressively got in my face, yelling at me and the lady working there the ENTIRE time, and would not let me get a single word in. I was choking on my words, and shaking. He kept screaming I don't want to talk to you, yet he would not stop shouting at me the entire time I was there, and lashing out in Spanish (which I understand..), not even while I was changing in the fitting room feverishly trying to try the rest of my garments on. I tried on a high waisted business pencil skirt that was still 4 inches big on my waist.. this should be Tailor 101. Albert and the lady's defense was that "waist is down where your hips are." No.... I verbatim told Albert I want this tight on where my bellybutton is (hence, high waisted pencil), and that is how he pinned it. After more shouting, he said he can take the skirt in more; to which I admitted I am not comfortable returning to his establishment after I watched him physically abuse the lady who works there (maybe his wife? they seem related in some way). He did not take that well and lashed out screaming more, with no regard that there were other customers in the store. I moved on to the next 2 skirts that were both crooked and had holes at their waists, and came out trying to ask them "is this how it's supposed to look?" (treading lightly with my words, knowing Albert has the temper of a toddler getting toy taken away). The lady is looking at me ignoring me, too. Eventually she says "he does not want to talk to you" again- meanwhile he has not stopped yelling. Then he admitted it looks so bad because he forgot to cut the tight inner seams.. Then he shouts "$200 total? nothing I will give it back" as if a refund is the proper consolation here. How about you hear your paying customer out when they have something to say? Side note- the total was AFTER a 15% discount for checking in on yelp. I found it odd I had to pay for all the alterations upfront at drop off. When I told them I got the 15% QR code the worker almost didn't honor it. Be weary, folks. Today at pick up Alberto kept on screaming "I am an honest man." I tried to speak to him to help calm him down, putting my own sadness aside, in fear for the lady I just watched get assaulted. He grabbed her arm and shoved her out of the way when she was trying to calm him down in early stages of his perpetual toddler tantrum. They both just wanted to shut me up, and force a check on me, despite me saying several times I do not want a full refund. I calmly told the lady it's not right for him to treat customers like this, to which she replied "RELAX, just take your check" while shooing me away. These people have no shame. All I wanted was to be treated with respect. 1 apology would have gone a LONG way.
