Horrible service and a generally lousy store. The best part is when you buy one item and go through self checkout only to be stopped by the guy at the door who takes 5 MINUTES to go over every receipt, even for 1 item. This is California so I should be able to steal at least the statutory minimum before I'm required to have my receipt checked! Sheesh!! I hate Walmart in general, but it's cheap so I put up with it as best I can.

I have been buying my steaks at Walmart for years almost daily, as I eat a steak almost every day. Over the past two months the steak quality has dropped noticeably. Two weeks ago I bough several prime steaks, at about $17 a pound, so these steaks cost over $20 each. When I opened one and turned it over, its entire bottom was thick white fat. The entire bottom. Someone hid this, had to know. About half the steak was fat. I could not cook such a steak and eat it, so I returned it, after taking pictures of it and showing it to managers. I have never seen this ever before. Two days latter, I opened one of the other prime steaks, and it too had a thick layer of fat of fat hidden on its bottom. It covered about half the bottom of the steak. Again I returned it. Last night I went to this store to buy some prime steaks. They were so bad that I did not buy them. One filet mignon was covered with fat and tendon. It was marked down. Yeah, no one would want such an ugly steak. Filet mignon should just be a nice thick, red steak. The prime N.Y. strips were those that most steak experts say not to buy. They were unevenly cut: one side being a quarter inch while the other side is an inch and a half. This makes the steaks cook unevenly, dries out the steaks, at least on one side. I like my steaks, medium rare to medium. These steaks would have half the steak cooked well done. Almost all the steaks were cut this way. Also the multi-packs, those with two or three steaks in them, are subpar. One steak will be okay while the other will be unevenly cut or much thinner than the other. Both in a package should be the same thickness and be cut from the same piece of meat, Some of the packs had both steaks with uneven cuts. All the multi-packs had steaks from two different pieces, In other words, one was more fatty or lean than the other. This means the two steaks will cook differently and taste differently. If you are cooking both, cooking them for two people, one will have a better steak than the other. I believe Walmart changed its steak wholesaler, and this wholesaler is packaging the lower quality steaks for Walmart. All the uneven cut steaks are being given to Walmart. Friends often tell me they will not buy meats from Walmart. I have always defended Walmart meats. Now I cannot do so. The quality is such that I have to start buying my steaks at another supermarket. Shame on you, Walmart.

I've been to this Walmart over a course of time and it is significantly better than what it used to be. Majority of my deliveries have come on time or early and I prefer that then it being late.

Can we do negative stars ?? How about multi negative stars ?? I had problems with food delivery and was told by my local store I needed to call corporate office customer service ! I asked if they could make the call since it seems to be a Walmart problem NOT a customer problem . Well , bottom line is , ANDREA at the newbury park Walmart lied to me and her supervisor lied to me and gave me warm chicken and warm eggs to take home ! Both were left out of the refrigerator for hours. Not only did ANDREA lie to me she walked away from me when I caught her in the lie . Then , a supervisor told me the failed delivery was "put on pick up " instead of redelivery but no one notified me of that action and why pick up ? So ? If they fail the delivery they make the customer pick up groceries?? I used Walmart delivery 2 or 3 times a week and spend almost $1500 a month , but no more ! WALMART YOU SUCK !!

To be clear, this location is a market. That should be in the title of the listing. Wasn't clear until I arrived. They sell mainly groceries and have a pharmacy with some toiletries, house cleaning supplies, etc. 2 stars for convenience. I was visiting and staying at the Palm Garden Hotel across the street. I visited because I was shopping for supplies to get my daughter set up in college in Thousand Oaks. Was able to get some toiletries, bath and kitchen supplies. 1/2 stars for customer service. I returned that night to return supplies, only to find out their customer service hours are open only 8am-8pm. Huh?! Store is open, so why is customer service desk closed? Never have I been to store that limits hours on returns. I can only justify that as covid side effects of limited employees. A worker actually said she isnt trained to do that type of job. WTF? Returned the next day to do returns. Lady was decent and polite, thus 1/2 star. She said regular Walmart locate is Simi Valley (I think?).

UGH!! The issue with bags being left on the carousel is still going on! This just happened to me again yesterday. It's so frustrating to get home and realize a bag of groceries that you've paid for is missing. So then I tried calling the store to confirm, and absolutely no one picked up. I let it ring for almost ten minutes. So I drove to the store, and I talked to the cashier who helped me. Yes, she had seen the bag I left behind. But did anyone try to catch me before I left the store or parking lot? No. I asked why no one picked up when I called, and she said that customer service closes early, long before the store closes. Strange. And why don't they have a recording that says you've reached them after hours? The other thing that really bugged me was that while I was in line, the cashier in the next line encouraged me to come over because she was open. I could not see her line from where I was standing, but I figured she was trying to help me out. Nope! She had two big orders in front of me and slowed me down. I saw the people who had been behind me in the next line sail through while I waited. Pretty annoying.

Went in on 12/26 at 7:45am to do a return. There was an older gentleman at the front along with another lady that were talking at the front Check-lanes. I believe the man was the supervisor. He explained to me that the return was closed until 8am. I did not see that posted anywhere which was frustrating and made me not believe him. It was also very slow in the store which it looked like he was thinking about just doing my return until the lady that was with him asked what I was returning. I said video games, she said that they only sell food and do not allow returns for items they do not carry. This must be a new policy since I had not had an issue in the past. I guess I will do my shopping at Amazon since they make it easier to do a return with their hubs than Walmart does with all of the stores they have.

I booked a covid antibody test online here and came in today. First let me say the lady who answered my questions on the phone yesterday, was extremely pleasant. I called today to see if I could come in earlier then my appointment time, and the man who answered was equally as nice. He was the same guy who did my test. It was quick and painless. Results were done in 15 minutes. This is a very nice Ralph's. The nicest one I have been in yet! They also had some really good prices, and I picked up some shampoo and a new toothbrush too! Highly recommend this Pharmecy, and even the store. Parking lot gets pretty crowded though,

I mean you can't expect much from Walmart but man this one is dirty. I tend to like the neighborhood markets because they are usually nicer and cleaner but this one is just straight out disgusting. Restrooms are super dirty and the store itself is dirty. If I wasn't in need of the items I needed to buy I would have tried to wait one more day.
