Nowhere near as bad as the reviews stated, staff on site was awesome and polite the bon fire was a nice warm deal, the rooms were clean and the heater was warm. The rivers area is beautiful and the strange table in the dark with the light gives it a nice touch:)

I didn't personally stay here but, visited my brother whom did. It was really a great location and great ambience! Only downside was some mosquitoes but, they provided some anti-bug incense sticks.

I had very low expectations of this place after reading the reviews; however, our experience wasn’t terrible. We stayed in Cabin 2 and the air worked, tv worked and there was a strong ceiling fan. The bed was comfy and the fridge kept everything very cold. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner and slippers to avoid the floor. It’s pretty old and rundown but not overly dirty. We didn’t use the kitchen but there were all the things that you would need to cook a simple meal. The river was easy to access but the water wasn’t moving quickly and it was rather shallow so we decided to swim elsewhere. Check in location was a little sketchy but the woman at the counter was very helpful and provided great restaurant and hike recommendations.

We had our honeymoon here for six days and let me tell you they really go the extra mile. Bottle of wine, all the amenities you can possibly want, great fishing with wildlife everywhere including deer, Quale and other animals. Nice spa, cable TV, kuereg style coffee maker. We had the best honeymoon ever! We will definitely be coming back in the winter!

It was very dirty. We never had internet, broken kitchen supplies. Only half a roll of paper towels and a half of toilet paper for 4 nights, a single garbage bag, no oven utensils. No signal for cell phone, no landline. We were cut off. I had to go shopping to be able to complete the room amenitis and spend part of my vacation time cleaning the place. I had to go out and look for blankets because the ones in the place stank. I had no way of communicating with anyone in the place to help me at night and on the day in the place where you pick up the keys they do not pay you any attention, they said "we are going to send someone" and they never went. We had no way of looking for another place to be because we were cut off. Our phones did not work and there was no internet.

Our experience with the Smiths and the rental of their cabin exceeded our expectations. We had never used a vacation rental before and they have set the bar so incredibly high that I doubt any others can compare!Every detail is covered at their property, right down to the comfortable bed, crisp bed linens ,fluffy towels and that hot tub with an incredible view. The view from every part of this backyard oasis is beautiful and well kept. It was like our own private little sanctuary with lots of extras! We appreciated the extra efforts made by the owners to ensure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable and relaxing.The window seat area in the living room was cozy enough for two adults to lay in and relax during our indoor time.Thank you Richard and Jeanie for being such great hosts. My boyfriend and I got engaged today on the lake. We expected a nice cabin, full size, not a room. There are cobwebs and the bathroom sink splatters all over the place when we turn it on. The pictures are deceiving. The tv doesn’t work, and I tried calling the numbers on the email and they’re disconnected. This random lady was rude to my fiancé as well. And when we checked in, about ten minutes later, this lady just openly walked into our room? She gave us pillowcases but why would you just walk in? You should knock? There are cracks in the shower and the floor tiling is messed up. I’ve stayed in a motel 6 and it was better than this cabin, oh sorry wait, I mean this tiny room.

We booked a 2 night stay. We came in and the room was so hot about 90 degrees or worse. Upstairs was unbearable. The fridge doesn’t get cold it took 4 hours to cool down the cabin I thought I was going to pass out. The pictures show a really nice view as to be in your back yard pretty much but there’s tons of weeds and tall grass that block your view and an unsafe back patio in cabin 8 broken chairs were left in the back on the ground and the satellite box did not work. I called to let maintenance know The first night But both phone numbers went straight to voicemail I finally got through later that night and they said they’d call me back but never did so we had no TV the first night. I called again the second day and someone came about an hour later to bring another box that did not work so I called back once again and they said they would come themselves to fix it. We waited over two hours now so I called back they said they had an emergency and were sending someone else. Still nothing. I’m so upset I want to leave.

We booked this cabin for 2 people by mistake for Dec 27-29 on Dec 16 (hotels.com). I updated the reservation that we have 4 people in the same day. They called me a week later on Dec 24, and want us to upgrade for 4 people and asked us to call expedia. I called expedia/hotels.com and they would charge us 200 more. I told hotels.com that we want a refund. They won't give us a refund. Then I called the hotel, and Chad from the hotel told me they could give us a deal for a bigger room if we can cancel with expedial/hotels.com. I call hotels.com again it seemed that cancellation would be possible. I called Chad and said it looked like the cancellation would be going through, and Chad told me he would reserve the bigger room for us. Then Lisa? from the hotel called me and said that the bigger room was not available and they won't let us cancel with refund. So I came to the hotel Friday night for the small room and no one was around to give us the small room. They were an hour away and they don't want to drive to give us our room. We have 2 people now and we came for the cabin as required. And now we need to get another hotel room. And they are being unfair?? They gave us a very bad experience!!

You’re better off staying elsewhere. The place needs a good cleaning. The room came with a coffee machine, small fridge, and microwave, but it’s a shame how disgusting the coffee machine was. I brought my own coffee to brew, and when I attempted to brew some I saw that the machine had gunk and no telling what else inside. Also, two coffee mugs were provided and both were’t clean. The coffee mugs still had stuff on them from previous use. I could go on and on about the cleanliness here, or the lack thereof, but I’d rather keep it short and sweet; make sure you’ve had your tetanus shot before you check in. ??♂️
