“This center is clean, organized and the drive-thru is so convenient! I love donating to this location. The staff is informative and the process is thought out. I highly recommend this donation site.”
“This was my second trip to this very fun & cool store..The first time I went in I was V impressed by their abundance of hella cool merch at a very affordable price point., not to mention customer service was exceptional as well. Today I walked in and was greeted by a dude (playing awesome music I might add) who not
only complimented my hair but told me I was beautiful while I was paying for my purchase.. *sigh*With so many nasty and negative peeps working sales and customer service in general these days, this was VERY unexpected and refreshing especially coming from a cute & sweet 20-something .LOL. It literally made my day! LOVE this little gem of a shop and can't wait to come back ! ?????”
“A thrift shop done right is an innocent treasure chest. Homey spirits should flutter about. As walked in, someone good happened to be playing the well-tuned piano. And then we found the perfect postcard... for 5¢. Fun and finds at their finest. Stop by. You'll be delighted.”
“I love this store- very sweet staff and good stuff but here's the thing ...I've now come here twice when they are supposed to be open according to their posted hours and they're not open. So I have come all the way across town to pick up a wish order and look around and they're not open. :(”
“Amazing experience here, so awesome ,Richard helped me arrange a wardrobe for my interviews that is just astounding ~ you'll find what you are looking for here. I'll be back! Very cool clothing and Magical Employee's. Well done Bloom, well done ?.”
“Every time I’ve dropped off donations the staff receiving the items are always friendly, efficient. The open space makes it easy to get in and out in a few minutes”
“Good selection, very small store. One issue with the experience.
I asked them to hold some items for half an hour, and when I came back, they said one of the items was missing a price and had to get re-priced. I know this item had a price tag because remember seeing it and thinking I’d buy it for my friend because it was a good deal. I always check the price tag and there were no other items with “missing” price tags.
I thought maybe the paper fell off, but it’s a plastic tagged item, so the plastic part should have been there.
I try to assumed positive intent, and I paid for the over double the price increase that was asked for, but I can tell I was deceived. The price was definitely there, and they decided to re-price it, and lie to me about it “not having a price”.
Come on, just be honest…. The world has enough deceit already.”
“Excellent place for getting souvenirs, there are couple stores in the area... I would recommend go visit all of them and see first the options, there are places with the same things and some others with better options and better prices. Overall here is a good option more taking in court it's not closed early”
“First time coming in here and was pleasantly surprised with the selection and prices. Staff were nice and helpful. Couldn't believe they were selling brand new ASICS and Brooks running shoes for $32. Tags still on. What a find, had to get a pair. Thank you!”
“My sister and I visited Grace Thrift today and we both found treasures! They were affordable and the shop is beautifully arranged. Most wonderful were the two women working there. They may have been the manager (great red hair) and the other a volunteer. They were so helpful and fun to interact with. GREAT thrift store. Highly recommend!”

“Although, the program didn’t work out for me due to my need for dual diagnosis, I still think it’s a great program. The staff are caring and patient. There are a lot of rules with strict consequences but it’ll help provide the structure and discipline you need. The work program can be a bit overwhelming but it’ll take time to get used to. You wake up at 5am weekdays and 6am on weekends. There is 8 hour shifts/5days a week in which you receive a small gratuity. The food is wonderful and the home is beautiful, well kept and clean. You are required to sign over your EBT benefits to them but they provide plenty of good food and you’ll easily gain healthy weight in no time. Shoutout to Courtney for being so patient and kind and Sabrina as well. The Filipino woman that answers the phone is extremely judgmental and rude. She questioned whether I was “real woman” because my chest is very small. Horrible feeling and it definitely didn’t give me a great start to things at all. They provide transportation to and from work and well as lunches you pack yourself at the house. You’re not allowed to smoke at work but get plenty of free time to smoke at the house. The showers/bathrooms are awesome. Bed are comfy and blankets nice and warm. It’s two people to a room but it’s spacious with plenty of storage. Curfew is 9 and lights out at 10pm. You get coffee in the morning and at work. There are plenty of books and movies to pass the time. Most clients or “beneficiaries” are court ordered. My only hang up is that it isn’t dual diagnosis so there is no mental health services at all and that religion is forced on you from the beginning. You must dress, act, sit and follow all of the captains commands to a T or there will be consequences. If you don’t mind the religious aspect then overall it’s a wonderful program. They have aftercare resources once you graduate as well. Thank you for my time there! I was difficult without the mental health resources but still think very highly of them. They made sure I was taken care of and even provided a jacket when I left. You’ll get plenty of good clothes while you are there that you return if you don’t graduate. Tons of snacks! Only other thing is that they could possible cut down the shifts to 5 hours in order to allow for meetings and classes from more trained professionals without taking away from the limited free time after work. You will be closely monitored but lead well by your peer mentor for the first 30 days. Captain is a bit intense kind of with expectations but is still kind and caring”

“Its a good place to drop off your old clothes. The staff took care of everything. But be beware there parking lot is really small and fills up. I drop off some donations and I tried to back out and the other people in the lot wouldn't back up there car when i tried to leave. I know this is not salvation army fault for having a small lot But just want people to be aware of this before parking in There for a drop off”
“School spot of live music.Maximum furniture toys, clothes big warehouse with old brick.Showing on the inside there was no place to be rock around with big book sections and posters of a big sign of guitar.Hanging up and lots of options for you to spend some time here.Hanging out five cool stuff at discount”
“found some of my fav pieces there!!! the pricing is really fair for such good quality stuff and they have clothes and really cool decorations. basically my favorite vintage/thrift shop within marin!! friends with the gals who work here and everyone is really nice.”
“This is a great place for slightly used clothing and home goods. Lots of choices nicely displayed. They also made it very easy to donate with parking lot in the back for easy drop off.”
“Be warned before coming here: This place is super small, I wouldn't call it a thrift store but more like a guy who sells used stuff. Don't get me wrong he's quite nice but if you're expecting clothes and vintage stuff don't come. It's mostly used applicances and used electronics. Still worth a visit if you're in the area”
“I always find gems here! This time, it was a like-new Princess Polly crop top and some fun costume items. Diana is so sweet - she let me take the items out of the package to make sure the sensor hadn't made any holes and even offered to check the back for un-sensored items. I'm looking forward to selling here - hopefully will have a great experience with that, too!”
“I found quite a few things that I love here, but no dressing room! So that sucked. And I bought a ton of clothes, but they don’t have bags?!?! So I had to walk around the city carrying an armload of clothes. Boo. But I’m really happy with my purchase. Lucky brand jeans, merino wool bralette, and 3 rompers.”
“When dropping off donations, there are two lanes for parking. There is one man who is a pleasant and kind man and I always enjoying seeing him as I drop off. Goodwill is such a great service for the community.Another man was super (u-b-e-r/too much) friendly the first time and then a little bit aggressive the second time. I give you the same tip that I got when I worked customer service in Marin. I would try to be even between visits and customers. (Try to treat everybody the same.)”
“Very special shout-out to Benji (hope I spelled that correctly) who actually found some missing AirPod Pros I had thought I lost that was in the pockets of one of my jackets and actually returned back to me! They meticulously went through two moving boxes full of clothes. Although only one item was taken in, I really appreciate the warmth, thoughtfulness and even helping me reload my items back into my boxes.
Sometimes the selling process at consignment stores can be so cold but I really appreciate Benji’s warmth today and it really stuck out compared to any experience I’ve had at Crossroads. ♥️
PS i also ended up buying two items - they have some nicer things on the rack than usual. Definitely worth revisiting if you haven’t gone in awhile to see what things they do take in!”

“This is my favorite goodwill in SF. Not only do I always find a treasure the people are amazing humans. Unknowingly I dropped a family heirloom ring while shopping. Terrified when I realized and got home I called , and the women here say it and were holding it for me. Super grateful for their honesty and help.”
“Best Goodwill ever!! The staffs are so so welcoming and nice!! And very helpful!! And seems they’re happy as well.I love this Goodwill because the clothes and furnitures they have is the best! and very well organized. Even if I live so far from this area this is my go-to goodwill! I travel km away just to get here.Love it!!”
“I wasn’t sure where to send this, so I’m submitting it here. I’ve been a regular shopper at your stores for over a decade—first at the Polk Street location, and now more frequently at the Folsom Street location since moving nearby. I know some of the staff by name and they know mine, including Marcy, and have appreciated the consistency and convenience—until recently.
There are two employees at the Folsom location whose behavior has created an increasingly uncomfortable shopping experience: Lorena and a woman I believe is named Tanisha.
Lorena repeatedly approaches me while I’m shopping, asking if I’m okay or if everything is going fine—usually multiple times in one visit. I don’t see her doing this with other customers, and it feels like she’s profiling me. Whether she assumes I’m unhoused or a shoplifter, I don’t know—but it’s uncomfortable, intrusive, and, at this point, feels like harassment. Everytime she asks my response clearly displays irritation I even told her it was annoying, and yet it continues. Sometimes I don’t even go in if I see her working.
That said, my bigger concern is with Tanisha. She has consistently displayed unprofessional behavior—loudly complaining on the floor, using inappropriate language, chatting with the female security guard about personal topics, and creating a chaotic atmosphere. But what happened today was especially upsetting.
An elderly man came in with a concern about his points not transferring. I don’t know the full details, but Tanisha’s response was flat-out disrespectful. She cut him off, refused to listen, and dismissed his concern by saying the manager would tell him the same thing anyway. She was short, condescending, and repeatedly announced—in front of other customers—that she was “done dealing with him” and that her coworkers would have to handle him from now on.
It was humiliating to watch. Everyone in the store was looking over, clearly uncomfortable. The whole atmosphere shifted—it put everyone on edge. Whatever the situation, that man was elderly, and he deserved basic respect.
What made it worse was how she turned on Lorena afterward, who, to her credit, had stepped in and calmly helped the man. Tanisha seemed angry that the issue got resolved and kept loudly insisting she wouldn’t “deal with this anymore.” I commend Lorena for her help—despite my issue with her—because she at least de-escalated the moment.
Even after the customer left, Tanisha continued sarcastically telling people, “I guess we just hand points out now,” mocking the situation loudly in front of everyone. It was petty and unprofessional.
Tanisha has been rude to me before, and I’ve seen her be inappropriate with others—including mocking a transgender friend of mine. This isn’t just a bad day or poor judgment. It’s a pattern. Her behavior brings down the entire environment. Frankly, she should not be working in customer service.
I’m only sharing this because I’ve been loyal to your stores for years and believe in the experience you aim to provide. But this situation needs to be addressed—before more customers are pushed away.
Oh ya also, your prices are getting to a point of ridiculous. This is supposed to be a thrift store for a good cause but I feel like you would make more if you lowered your prices as I frequently see the same things everytime
I go in. There was a pair of sandals that had the tags on them for 12.00 your price 14.00 when bringing it to associates attention. She said she didn’t price things and asked if I still wanted it. Obviously I declined. Makes no sense.”
“This is the best goodwill I’ve ever been to. I’ve gotten my wife, friends and family many gifts from here like purses. I’ve bought really nice clothing items for myself as well. Clean store and nice employees.”
“Recycle instead of tossing out good stuff! Been shopping here for decades. Been able to find many things for my wardrobes, house furnishings, decorative objects, art, kitchen supplies, tools, gardening equipment “, etc. Best place to recycle for reuse of your good condition clothing (clean and in very good immediately wearable condition) and furniture and nice bric a brac to keep them out of landfill.”
“The thrift store, started in the 1930’s supports five charities. The shop is staffed primarily, by community volunteers. Wonderful items are donated by generous supporters. Definitely worth a look when in Tiburon on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and some Sundays.”
