This place is convenient sense I live near by but this is the last time I come here. It seems like everything I buy is old and Expired. I'm one to give places chances and not judge based off one bad experience. But it just seems like it's just a waste of my money sense I always have to toss things out. This last time I got a Coke i start drinking it and the top had a very weird nasty smell to it. Bs aside it smelled like someone's nasty private part. It made me gag. I don't know what's the shelf life of a soda but it was expired without fizzle. I also noticed that there's no prices and for 3 small thing that weird guy with the long hair charged up the ass and different prices every time. Seems like he's just making up his own prices. There's no way that 1 bag a small chips and 1 soda cost $15. I hate complaining so I don't say anything but I had enough with this place. This last experience is disgusting.

I guess I'll just get right in line behind the other folks who've given this a 1 star review. 'Horrifying' would not be too harsh a term for what I experienced there tonight and, based on the fact that what I experienced is apparently the norm, I guess the behavior of the violent folks who have been hired to run the counter at this place of business are just what the owners want. How sickening a thing it is to walk into a place of business with the simple goal of giving them some of your money, only to be berated and harassed the entire way out the door. Yes, that's exactly what happened to me tonight when I simply wanted to buy a bottle of wine. Instead, I had to wait for the counter attendant to finish his smoke break while I stood at the counter waiting for service. Once he decided I'd waited long enough, he launched into a violent rant about the prices of the very goods they sell and the political reasons behind it. This unhinged person was completely out of control, sweating profusely and looked to truly want to vault over the counter toward me when I gave him a disapproving look. As I was getting out the door, a woman was starting to walk in and said,"What the hell?", as I was walking by her ... based on the violent bloviating of the Prestige Liquor employee. What a world we live in when the act of doing simple business makes you fear for your safety. Again, there are so many similar reports of this place posted here that it is obvious that the owners like this sort of intimidation being thrown at their customers. I, for one, will NEVER EVER step foot inside this hell-hole again and I will never stop telling every person I know about my experience at Prestige. In a perfect world, the business will crash and burn and be replaced with a similarly stocked ( but with a better wine selection ) showroom, equipped with reason-based and thoughtful adults who own and run it.

This place is near my home and I have shopped here many times over the last 10 years, but no more. The guy behind the counter is extremely rude and confrontational. I don't know his name but since I always see him working, he might be the only clerk. I've seen his rudeness a couple times in the past but it happened again recently. There are too many better options in this area so I won't be back!

Worker was very rude, and high out of his mind. Asian dude with long hair. Must be the owners son who’s a bum because he doesn’t care for the job

Like others have noted, most often there are typically heavily political podcasts playing in the store. During the pandemic, it seemed like mask wearing was really frowned upon in the store, and when there were mask mandates, they were not enforced. Still, it was close to my home so I occasionally stopped in out of conveince. No more.A week or two ago, I overheard the clerk finishing up telling to a customer what sounded like a transphobic joke. I was taken aback by it, and wasn't sure I heard all of it correctly and kept shopping. While waiting in line, he then retold the joke again to a customer, in a manner to basically tell it to anyone in the store. It confirmed that I wasn't wrong the first time, it was in fact an incredibly transphobic joke. I put down my items and walked out. Shop here if you want, but personally I don't need politics when I just want a six pack of beer, and I certainly don't need to give my money to transphobes and homophobes.

It's hard to give even 1 star, but since you have to, here it is. I have been coming here for years. It's incredibly convenient since it's just a few blocks away, for smokes, alcohol snacks or whatever... I have always been frustrated with the main employee named Eric who seems to be there all the time. He definitely pushes his incredibly annoying podcasts and opinions on anyone and everyone regardless of their circumstances. He's very overwhelming. I have always put up with him for my own convenience and it wasn't until recently, that I became aware that he is a complete homophobic right wing Trump supporter. We will not be giving the store our business any longer and I really hope that the owner reads all these reviews and realizes how damaging this one human being is to his business. I completely agree with all the other reviews, this neighborhood does not need this kind of hate rhetoric. We are a very open community and welcoming and this does not belong.

Very unfriendly staff/owners. Could be language barrier. Although hello is not a hard word to learn

I used to live across the street from this business and have shopped there often. I still live in Burbank l, but I won't return here because the guy with a pony tail (I don't know if he is owner or an employee) constantly tries to start up unsolicited conversations that revolve obsessively around his personal and political views, many of which I find very offensive. This guy will go on a vitriolic diatribe at the drop off a hat. It's actually very bizarre and so unnecessary. I see the other reviews similar to this one and I believe every one of them. I'll never step foot in here again. I hope he reads these reviews and takes some time to think about how he comes across to others. So toxic.

I've been a customer at Prestige for many years. Popped in this morning to grab water and Gatorade. The man at the register asked how I was doing and after answering "good and you?" he immediately went into a bizarre political tirade. He says he's never been in favor of a "hostile takeover" until now with Elon Musk taking over Twitter. He goes on, without prompting, to reiterate a "hostile takeover" is needed to stop Antifa from organizing "terrorist attacks". Shocked, I respond calmly with "that's not happening". He scoffs at me and says "yeah, ok. You need to start paying more attention" 1. I don't want to be forced to listen to unsolicited political opinions by an employee at any store I'm shopping at. 2. Agree or disagree with his opinion, I don't want to be insulted by any employee at any store I'm shopping at. The employee's diatribe was not only aggressive, it was inappropriate and enough to deter me from shopping here ever again. With hundreds of liquor stores and places to buy water throughout the valley, I would imagine it is incumbent upon establishments to stand out. Providing customer service that doesn't include this type of rhetoric is, I imagine, the bare minimum.

I would not recommend this business. Owner is homophobic and is willing to verbally harass customers over his oppressive and harmful beliefs.

Homophonic owner who verbally attacked my friend and chased him out. Please do not support a business where people cannot feel safe

For some reason the owner things this is a place to push politics. Very conservative viewpoints. Sell your booze and leave us alone. Toluca lake is progressive
