Unfortunately, I have had a terrible experience with Alpine as well as their customer service.Purchased an all in one, sub/dsp/amp. Paid a quality shop to install it and tune. Once complete there was a vicious sound like a Cicada coming out of the front left dash. Shop advised they installed it correctly and advised there is a problem with the unit.Called alpine who advised to check the connections and removed the tune. Would do anything at this point to get the sound to go away. Even removed that speaker. Removing the tune did not cure the issue.Dealt with this for a few months before going to another shop who took apart my dash 3 times and was looked over for 5 hours. Issue ended up being the unit and the harness was getting interference from my ac controls. Paid them to wrap up the controls to lessen the noise did not cure my issue.Called into alpine to at least get an exchange for a product that would work in my case. Product is not defective just a won’t work with my car and its quirks. Associate escalated the issue and advised nothing could be done. Never received a call back. Truly useless customer service who is won’t help a customer who spent thousand on their product and installation of said product. Not purchasing their products moving forward.

I have been beyond disappointed with my (2) 10" Alpine SWR-T10(s). I purchased a pair for over $600.00 a piece. The project was put on hold for awhile and when I was able to complete the install with in (2) hours the spider on 1 sub broke loose causing severe distortion. The vendor said the sub was out-of-warranty and there was nothing they could do. I had to purchase a replacement sub at full price (not even a discount) about a month later the other sub blew (0 ohms between positive and negative) since I knew the warranty was expired. I contacted Alpine directly to see if there was a repair available considering the purchase price was $600+ a piece. "No repair service offered" the rep literally told me to throw them away because there was nothing they could do. Talk about not standing behind your product. The good news, 1 sub works great, the bad news, I had to pay for 3. Should have gone with JL Audio.

Alpine created an in dash navigation system the z928. The failed to install enough memory to install a map update. I called the technical support and the technician pretty much told me that that $1200 stereo is a piece if junk.

Alpine has some of the worst customer-facing staff I have ever encountered. Calling their tech support line is a joke, as the techs are incompetent and useless, and the customer service line is just as bad. Was provided completely contradictory information about the same issue by 2 different techs, and told by four different reps, over 4 different phone calls with customer service, that I would receive a call back, yet not a single follow up call resulted. Clearly, Alpine is investing little to nothing in quality hiring and properly training customer-facing staff. Very disappointing.

Great products, but the tech support is terrible. Not sure where how many stars to give. I was having a problem with playing audio or video from a thumb stick on my head unit. Contacted tech support via email. Initial response was that the content wasn't playing due to copyright material, defective USB drive, or unsupported format. I advised the content did not have copyrights, tried 3 different brands of USB drives, and the formats were correct. I advise the head unit did not even recognize the USB. I asked if it was a setting and was recommended to go to a authorized dealer to see if the content played on their head units. Completely ignored that the usb was not recognized and didn't comment on whether or not it could be a setting problem. They just gave up and assumed that I was incorrect about the media not being complaint. After some browsing in the system settings I found there was a setting to turn on iPod, USB, or Both. My unit was set to iPod. Changed it to "Both" as I also use CarPlay. It worked. I had to solve my own problem because the tech was lazy and just assumed I was wrong. So, I provided a step by step instruction of what I did so the tech could better help customers experiencing the same issue in the future. I guess I expected a bit more after spending about $1800 for the head unit. I was wrong. I am very happy with the product, but not the support. They were not supportive.
