Absolutely the best eye doctors, but for the 2nd time lens didn't fit frame front desk needs to be replaced along with the manager queenie. A continuous disappointment never again. Bring back diane and Terrydiane and Terry

Diana at your Torrance location was a joy to be helped by. She was helpful and funny! I "see" why you employ her! Give this girl a raise! I will be coming back to this great establishment for all my eyewear needs!

Terrible customer service. Stopped by to pick up 2 pairs of glasses that are already paid for. Was told to sit and wait when there was 3 employees available to help me but all of them apparently needed to be helping the same customer??? What happened to customer service??? Soooo unnecessary

Although not really 79.00 for everything, as the TV ads may imply,the shopping experience was terrific. I paid 300.00 for two pairs, with the free exam. you pay for each frame and all lenses. I have single vision. I got the least expensive frames, yet they are quality and comfortable for me. I had a good experience at America's Best in Torrance, CA.

Love the frames I got, but was not told of problems with progressive lenses. I couldn't see very well the whole time I've had them. Very disappointing.

I've been to this store many times. They don't pay attention to details. Twice they made my bifocals incorrectly. Now I am standing here because they can't find my frames that I left here two weeks ago to have the lens replaced. They told me to come back later when the girl who took my frames would be here. These people are inefficient and unorganized, and they don't seem to understand how much trouble it is to keep coming back again and again. I will never come here again.

This location was super busy but Queenie made time for me. She was very knowledgeable about the inventory and steered me right to where I needed to make a decision on frames easy (among hundreds to choose from). She was also very knowledgeable about lenses, giving me good advice on how to choose. Lastly, she easily located my insurance info which wasn't easy because it's not a major plan. Great job!

Most of the staff here are rude and seem uninterested in actually assisting their customers. I was not greeted when I entered and the receptionist was not friendly at all. I let her know I was there for the $79 promotional deal which includes two pairs of glasses and an eye exam. The woman who checked my eyes was not friendly, the doctor who actually did the exam was not friendly and took all of 2 minutes "examining" my eyes just to tell me, "yup you were right about your prescription!" Seriously? He flipped through 2 different lens strengths, the one I have currently and one under. He didn't even check the strength above it! He gave me the impression that he just wanted to quickly get me in and out. After I completed the exam, I'm looking at the frames in the $79 section when the same receptionist comes to me telling me it would be $79 for the frames plus $99 for the exam. I was shocked by this, as I had specifically told her I was in for the $79 package which includes the exam. Her response was, the doctor had examined my vision for both glasses AND contacts which means I no longer qualified for the exam. I asked her why the doctor didn't let me know this, since I specifically came in for a glasses prescription. Her response was "well, you can pay for it in installments." ?? No ma'am. I told her I would not pay and that it was ridiculous that they wouldn't tell me that beforehand. She said she would try to get the contact lens exam removed. Now, as I'm looking through their very limited selection of frames, I hear them pull something similar with an elderly man! The man was also questioning the charges and it seemed that they took advantage of the fact that he was elderly and there alone. They are only concerned about profit and are literally robbing people hoping they don't notice or don't put up a fight. I will not be returning and I would not recommend anyone spend their hard earned money here. They can't be trusted.

I am not very satisfied with America's Best. The first time they filled my son's prescription , the order was completed incorrectly and they had to send the glasses back out again to fix. Instead of his glasses being done in 2 weeks, it was twice the amount of time. Then I sent out his next set of glasses before having him wear the new prescription (which was a bad decision on my part) as his new prescription was causing his eye to turn in. I called the next day to cancel the order and they said they couldn't cancel but they could put his old lens back in when the order returned. When I went to pick up the glasses and have his old lens put back in, they informed me that they threw away his old lens. I had to wait an entire hour to speak with the manager since she was helping a customer. I'm not sure why one of the associates couldn't take over so the manager could help me. The manager was kind and apologetic. She said they should have never thrown away the old lens. She said she wouldn't charge me when I get a new prescription. I appreciate the manager being kind but the wait and experience as a whole was not the best.

On August 21, 2023, I had the displeasure of meeting optometrist Seraphim Manio at America's Best located in Torrance 19800 Hawthorne Blvd. Mr. Manio was very curt, unprofessional, and lacked the basic client/doctor mannerism one would expect during an appointment. I am a nurse and I am very familiar with interacting with patients, clients, and doctors. Mr. Manio assessed my 11year old Niece's eyes for a few minutes, then said she needed glasses, then told us to head to the front to get help. I was stunned. It felt like a doctor walking into your room, listens to your heart, tells you you need surgery, then walks out. Mr. Manio gave absolutely no explanation of my Niece's problems with her vision, what he found during his assessment, his recommendations, nor explanation of her prescription. I was stunned with the lack of information given. When I asked what were the issues with my Niece's eyesight, Mr. Manio gave me a look that read he was annoyed and irritated. His reply was very rude and brief leaving me with very little insight concerning my Niece's vision. Needless to say, the service I received from Mr. Seraphim Manio was NOT America's Best. I hope Mr. Manio's behavior is not indicative of what to expect with this company. If so, I will not spend another dollar of my hard earned money at this location or this company. - Very unhappy, dissatisfied customer

They were friendly enough when walked in to look around. Their selection look decent also. Unfortunately I was told that my VSP insurance is out of their network and they only take 50% of it. Looks like my $300 annual benefit won't be going to them. Looks like I will have to find someone who will take my money.

I have gotten the 2fer deal twice now & I just don't seem to have any luck with America's Best. I end up paying 300 plus dollars & I am constantly trying to keep just 1 pair up & going. For the money I end up spending, I believe next pair of glasses won't be from America's Best.
