Exceptional Experience at Build-A-Bear – Thanks to Knox!
I visited Build-A-Bear about 30 minutes before closing and was hesitant to bring my children in, worried we might be rushed or turned away. However, Knox assured us there was plenty of time to enjoy the full experience—and he was absolutely right!
Knox went above and beyond to make the visit unforgettable for my kids. Knox kept them engaged, helped us pick out everything, and made the entire process fun and stress-free. Knox interaction with my children was incredible—his patience, enthusiasm, and kindness truly stood out.
Even when the system had technical issues at closing time, Knox remained calm and reassuring. I was concerned my kids might have to leave without their items, but Knox resolved the issue, ensuring we checked out smoothly. Knox’s dedication and problem-solving made all the difference—we left happy, thanks to Knox .
Because of Knox, this was an exceptional experience for my family. Knox effort, joy, and outstanding customer service did not go unnoticed. I will absolutely return and recommend this location to friends and family. Build-A-Bear is lucky to have such an amazing employee!

Brought our kids here for a little special gift. It was a Wednesday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. The associate that helped us was absolutely amazing and made the experience so special. They will walk you step by step in the process of building your "new friend" of course everything has a price so feel free to clarify if needed. Some of the heftier characters don't have a lot of outfit options so if this is important to you guys opt for a smaller friend so that you have more to choose from. If you can help it try to come when it's not as busy to get the best experience, if not no worries the associates are still glad to help. Recommend for all family members regardless of age!

Maya is super friendly, and was extremely kind to my son & my daughter. She really made the whole experience extremely memorable for them they absolutely loved it and loved how nice she was, they are already planning on adding a new stuffed friend to the family soon. I was going to leave her a tip but the cashier said they didn’t take tips, so I guess I’ll leave this comment as a thank you Maya you are the best, never change.

Build-A-Bear should be a store where the child and their guardian should feel like the happiest people on earth. However, in this location, complete opposite. Maybe they were about to close in like 30 minutes but the store is still considered open. You should still be working as “customer service” workers.
Anyways, I was with my husband and my two nieces. My nieces received really good grades in their report cards and we wanted to treat them to build-a-bear. When we entered the store, no one greeted us “welcome” or “hi”. Whatever. Then when we got help with stuffing their plushies, the worker was so dreadful and made me want to do her job for her! When it was time to pay, one of the plushies rung up a few dollars extra and I showed the worker the price on the display. Mind you, I did not yell nor did I get mad. I just asked politely. After she went to check, she whispers to her coworker next to her and gives me attitude. I wouldn’t have mind paying the few dollars if she just explained. But no. She gave me attitude. So I made sure I was paying the amount that we saw on the price tag.
I felt bad for my nieces because they didn’t get to experience the magic or happiness we felt when we were kids going to build-a-bear.
I used to work a customer service job and I had customers come in the store literally five minutes before we closed but I kept up my customer service act going because it was my job. The pay might not have been enough but at least it was something. And plus you don’t know what that customer is going through. At least we did our part and hopefully made them a bit happy with our service to them.
All I gotta say is.. they need to train these workers not just with the technical stuff of the job but also with better attitude and customer service.

Went here for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and Megan and Knox provided such a great experience! They were so friendly and helpful to my daughter, from building the bear to checking out the entire process was great. Knox and Megan are great employees

Waited in line to buy a gift card for a few minutes. The young cashier accused me of cutting in line, was very rude. I asked for manager who took me as she waited on the people who were behind me in line. Rookie mistake.

They need more different kinds of bears and plushies
