This is the most unprofessional medical office with whom I've ever dealt. I had part of my thyroid removed a few years ago and have had endocrinologist through this office ever since. Last fall, when I was trying to schedule my annual appointment with my doctor, I was told he was no longer working at the office. He basically "disappeared" with no word on when he would return. Between the other two endocrinologists at the office, one was retiring, which left me waiting until late April to finally see a doctor. One month prior to the appointment, I received notice that the sole endocrinologist would be working from home and conducting appointments via telephone. I now have to call them back to get copy of my records so I can see a new doctor, preferably one outside of the Optum network.

The pulmonary staff and Dr. Christina Lee we're professional, caring, and took really good care of us. Dr. Lee was engaging and listened to us in informing us of the condition and treatment options. Very satisfied with the results and highly recommend.

I called in and spoke to Jennifer about a refill prescription that my pharmacy sent over 2 days ago. She informed me that my doctor was not in and that NO ONE can approve my refill. My pharmacy faxed my refill in on 12/6, 12/7, 12/8, and 12/9. I called again, and Regina stated that they did not receive the fax. BOTTOM LINE: I ran out of my medicine and I don't have my refill.I called my primary doctor and did not receive anyone that was helpful either. I understand systems, but this isn't a normal request, and it is in fact somewhat urgent.

If I could give zero stars I would. This review is about the Neurology department at this Optum location. I'm due for a refill of my migraine medication and the insurance company is requesting a PA before I can get this medication refilled. When I called the office yesterday I was told that the PA has been sent to the insurance company, but when I called the insurance company I was told that they never received the PA. So I called the office back this morning to let them know that the insurance company never received the PA and they requested that they resubmit it and mark it as URGENT since I am completely out of this medication. I get a call back from the office about an hour later and was told that I needed to schedule an appointment before the PA could be submitted. I said, "okay could you please schedule me for Dr. German's next available appointment?" She replied back, "Dr. German is no longer here." This statement made my blood boil because instead of them telling me that he was no longer there when I called yesterday they lied and told me that he submitted the PA. On top of this, I'm not able to see whoever the new neurologist is until the end of February and he/she is refusing to put in a PA until I'm seen. So I ask the young lady, "what I am supposed to do about my migraines until my appointment?" She says, "I guess you will need to go to the ER." Of course I'm pissed at this point, because when I get a migraine I'm literally not able to function, I am literally debilitated. I work everyday and I cannot afford to be lying in an ER because these incompetent ass people are refusing to help me !!!!!!!!!!!! I will be calling my insurance company to submit a grievance !!!!!!!!!

Never fails! Now the doctors office kindly answers the phone but let's it just sit to over hear office talk -NOT patients- or when you call back they place you on hold for 45 mins to then hang up. Now yes you question you stayed on for 45 mins yes! Because it's a two month turn over to have your asthma/ bronchitis appointment dealt with. Or you play Russian roulette with the phone in hopes that a medical assistant/ receptionist kindly does their job well enough to relay a message to give the doc my message! Optum is very disappointing!

Was great when it was health care partners. As soon as they switched to Optum the service tanked and they don't follow through and lie about covid testing and refilling prescriptions. Would give 0 stars if I could.

This medical group has never disappointed me with over 30 years of dedication of past and present doctors I am one happy camper. I have never had any major problems just simple things like an authorization request falling through the cracks but nothing that I could majorly complain about. I do not see any difference in the new name versus how it was when it was Healthcare Partners. Sure, there have been plenty of changes since Covid but it's for everyone's safety and good health.

Unprofessional, unhelpful receptionist. Picked up the phone and said 'hello' instead of 'Del Amo Family Medical Group'. When I asked to confirm it was a medical center, receptionist said 'no' three times(!) Turns out she doesn't think 'medical center' and 'medical group' are reasonably similar enough to even consider correcting me.Once it was established that they do in fact offer medical care, she insisted I could only make a booking if we had medical insurance. I had to explain that we were travelers and had travelers' insurance. She said they didn't accept that type of insurance, so I asked if we could just pay upfront, and she finally agreed to let us schedule a consult. She told me the next available appointment was four days' wait. Useless when you need a same-day appointment for urgent medical care. Absolute waste of time.
