I have frequently experienced issues at this Hertz location (Torrance – Marriott Redondo Beach). Sometimes the vehicle booked in the correct category is not available, sometimes the car is not ready on time, and service can be inconsistent.
During my most recent rental, I booked a Kia K5 (Standard 2/4 Door) but received a Nissan Sentra, a lower category vehicle. The car was not ready after check-in, had to be cleaned first, and the exterior was quite dirty. The wait time was over an hour.
While staff try to assist, these recurring issues make it difficult to rely on this location. If there were a nearby alternative, I would consider booking elsewhere.

Dont book your car here! I booked online and got a confirmation even checked in online to reduce registration time for pick up time for the car. Getting there the employee said there was no car availble. Very dissapointing when you are counting on a car.

I returned my rental earlier then the drop off time and they still charged me an extra day with ALL NEW FEES.. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN HERTZ. I followed all after hour protocols due to them being closed on Sundays which was the shocking part about it. I wish they would've looked at the cameras before charging me a late fee + extra day. Never doing business with hertz again. Gold member has no meaning after all this.

Waited 40 minutes for car that was washed with windex and towel. Car waa not new, disgusting inside and out. Rental contract for the week was no bargin

The SUV was new, clean, and spacious. It was the perfect vehicle for my trip. The Hertz representative at the pickup location delivered outstanding customer service. After a long and stressful day of travel, his professionalism, warmth, and help made all the difference. It was truly a relief to be assisted by someone so attentive and courteous.

The service was not professional at all. The system allows you to book a car. Once you're there after paying for a taxi or Uber, you'll be told in a bad manner that they won't provide you with a car if you didn't make a reservation the day prior.

Picked up a one-way rental to LAX…. Desk agent gave me a 50,000 mile car…. Asked for a car with less miles…. Agent told me it was perfectly fine, and that there were no other cars available, even though the lot was full upon inspection. Dropped it off at LAX, where the receiving agent found two obscure cracks in the plastic bumper. Was hit with an incident report labeled “major collision”. A personally recorded clip of the vehicle that was taken before pickup shows the pre-existing damage…
Warning: thoroughly check and document vehicle before pickup. Agents at this location do not inspect the vehicle with customers. They instruct customers to drive the cars out of the parking garage, and do not leave their counter.

I waited up the ramp and when Justin picked me up right up the ramp right across the hotel
I videoed the whole car
With the damages that was implied
I also showed the hotel right across
Down in the parking lighting is not good
But out there in the sunlight daylight
I got the whole car videoed
So just wait for the video
You really should have someone also inspecting

Horrible service. Reserved the car on Priceline and when we went to pick up the car, the rep said they overbooked. So we didn’t get a car but they charged me $25 for no shows. None sense.

I had a wonderful experience with Hertz thanks to Dave and Dean. Since it was my first time renting a car by myself in the U.S., I was unfamiliar with many things, but both of them were extremely professional, kind, and patient. Even when I faced some issues that almost prevented me from renting, they went above and beyond to solve the problem and made sure I could get the car in the end. I’ll definitely choose Hertz again in the future because of this great service. Highly recommended!

Tesla model 3 rent. Received many emails about how to use it. But my car was not available. Nissan Maxima proposed...🙄 Thanks but no thank. Very unhappy 😡

****DO NOT BOOK HERE**** I wish I would have read the other reviews before and if I could give 0 stars I would.Originally did my booking through AAA……However, when my Father arrived to pick up his rental he was scammed for an extra SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS by Joanna at the front desk to get insurance an all kinds of other extras THAT WERE NOT NECESSARY because that was already done with AAA. When I went back to ask her about this her attitude WAS HORRID a she basically told me to bad, I can’t help you !. THIS IS DISGUSTING BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!!

Avoid. Even if you have a reservation confirmation and had pre-paid for your booking they don’t guarantee you’ll get the car.
