I very much recommend JOANN Fabric and Crafts to all my fellow crafters and wannabe crafters. This JOANN location is literally like the largest in the country but unfortunately the service here is lackluster at best. I usually make the drive down to this location on Saturday afternoons/evenings and for some reason I am always taken aback at how lousy the customer service is, it's incredible. The selection is impeccable and unlike any of the other JOANN's in the Los Angeles area. Of course everything in the store is usually on sale and you can't use the coupons you brought with you to the store but whatever. I tried to use my educator discount this past weekend and the employee told me it might override the 20% off coupon which was a new thing to hear. If you want inspiration and/or a great selection of craft materials, this is the place for you. I would suggest you know what you're looking for or use Google once you're at the store to have your questions answered.

Although this is my favorite Joann store, I had to bump them down a star. We have been here a few times. The store is still clean and they have a huge selection of fabrics. The particular fabrics we are trying to buy are always low in stock. Maybe we have bad luck or pick very popular fabrics. A couple people we interacted with that worked there seemed very indifferent towards us. Maybe we caught them on an off day.

Was looking for hand held drill not electric. This store has 5 different one but none in the store. Why can't they just order them, to lazy like all the other 9 stores I went to didn't have them either. So there is none in this world. People are trying to do their projects and your not carrying hand held drills. If I can order on line I would that is why I'm at all these stores where no one cares them.

I love to do crafts, sew, paint, and do floral arrangements. Joann's has everything that I need to finish my projects. Sometimes, the checkout line is long, but it goes quickly.

Went for some Cricut supplies - they had a "deal" - buy three, get three free, but they had more than doubled the price for each item! It was a worse deal than before they went on "sale." I guess they think we are all unintelligent. It's pretty bad when a 3'roll of smart iron on costs over $22! The same roll on Amazon was less than $10.

Joann is stocking the shelves with Christmas decorations! Yahoo!! I'm so ready to decorate for Christmas. It's the 50% off that got me! There are several areas in the store that has the 50% off. The picture frames were also 50% off. The nips for calligraphy was limited and the brush lettering markers were also limited. This is a large store with a large selection of materials for sewing. Happy to see the sewing classes are back. The price of merchandise is perfect due to the 50% off. The cashier were fast at checking our merchandise.

Went to go purchase a sewing machine and all the accessories and was immediately put off by the rude woman who was working in that section. She treated my girlfriend and I very rudely and acted as if we were bothering her for trying to start a new hobby. We left that section immediately so she could get back to sitting and looking angrily at customers. Other employees were pleasant but her attitude was enough to not spend my money there today.

I 'needed' one thing: Bias Tape Single Fold 4 yd 3.65m and their display was horrific. Upon first entering I was in awe, it quickly became supremely confusing. There's a need to increase staffing levels. Went across the street and found a colorized selection at WALMART, for $1.52 less! Staff here at Joann's are pleasant, but how the store is set up and maintained needs help, signage especially within the foam and stuffing section, definitely for me the first time visitor, I promptly returned this purchase. *parking here is fabulous!

I would have given the store zero stars if it had not been for their employee, Mateo.I made a curbside pick up order for an obscure item and my order was canceled with an explanation of “out of stock”. I decided to go & see for myself since complacency can sometimes play a roll in these situations.Everyone of their staff that were walking the floor was pretty much dodging all the customers. Ignoring people that were very audibly saying “excuse me”. They would quickly move passed customers as if they couldn’t hear them. There was absolutely no help nor assistance for customers on a Saturday afternoon.I counted a total of six staff members & finally one team member on the floor gave me a vague description of where to find the pictured product that I showed her. Basically, she pointed me to the complete opposite side of the store from where we were with very little description of the location even after I pressed her for a more precise aisle number/location.After wandering in frustration, I finally stood in line for the cashier, Mateo. He wasn’t able to leave his cash register which is completely understandable, however he took the time to give me an extremely detailed description of where to find the seasonal and uncommon product that their website said that they had in stock. With his help, I was able to locate the item that curbside said was out of stock and carry-on with my busy day. I am so glad that he was so helpful so that I did not have to waste anymore time wondering the store. I was able to get exactly what I came to buy and be on my way. Thank you Mateo!! You are so helpful and an asset to customers!

All I did was go to get material for blankets. I planned on a in and out visit but instead this turned into a 30-45 minutes visit. The selection here is very limited. I requested 4 yards of 4 different fabrics that weren't in stock so I had to settle with 1 1/4 yards of fabric. When you walk into the store there's a nice bright sticker that says pet friendly. This store is definitely the opposite. Workers had bad attitudes and this fat fupa worker disrespectfully told me my card declined for me to try it again and it go through. Dropped what she makes in two days in one sitting .

Last Saturday was the first time I went to this location for fabric. I didn't know the layout of the store but I quickly found the fabric section. My daughter picked two prints and off we went to get it cut. The two employees nearby pointed in the direction but not really clear where to go. After walking around, we ran into them again and asked, once again where to go. Finally we find it, type our name in and wait. Bonnie called our name and I went up with questions she obviously didn't care to answer. I just wanted to know the price since they were having a sale. She could've easily scanned it and told me but no we had to go back to the fabric section to check. That's where i saw another worker that told me while pointing, these are the sale ones. Anyway we decide to take what we originally picked and went back to sign in. After getting it cut with Bonnie again she was still being rude. Pushed the fabric into my kids face practically since she is the counters height. When my husband asked if he should put the fabric back she yanked it and gave a rude NO! She gave us one ticket and we headed to the counter to pay. While standing in line I noticed that our total was over $30 and I started regretting making that purchase so I asked the cashier if that ticket was correct and she said I should've had a second ticket because I bought two fabrics. I told her about the horrible experience with Bonnie and she went to look for a supervisor. We waited. Here came Robin the supervisor and tried to help us out. she did a good job for the most part except when she was saying that she had to leave so we had to make a quick decision. My daughter was having trouble picking out the print that she liked but Robin was trying to be helpful. While we're choosing a different fabric here comes Bonnie being somewhat confrontational asking what she had done. My husband didn't like that so he took my kids away while I stood there telling her I didn't want to argue with her. She asked what she had done and I told her. I felt that she was sorry since she had apologized and we went up to the counter to get our fabric. The total was less than $12 per fabric which was better than the 30 for just the one so we paid and left. On my way home I looked at my receipt and noticed that Robin charged me for an extra yard. Since it was a sale it was only $3 I didn't go back but needless to say I will never go back to the store. Looking at these reviews now I see that Bonnie's picture is up from two years ago so she's been working there with her crappy attitude long enough. And I believe her coworkers including her supervisor know how she is but because hours are being cut and more work is put on them it's kind of understandable that they don't want to do their job nicely. corporate is not taking care of their employees

Marty is totally AWESOME! I went in to look at sewing machines and she spent an hour explaining EVERYTHING to me. She is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, patient and kind. I got a great machine at a discounted price and a free 90 minute class too (which you can take over if it doesn't all stick.)Thank you SO much Marty!!Also got great advice from Jason and Melli who were wonderful as well. The store is an artist's and crafter's paradise, stocked with everything under the sun, spacious and bright, I can't wait to go back!!

I went shopping for yarn today. My boyfriend could not go in with me because he was in a lot of pain. I am not good with colors, and I didn't want to go back to joanns . So I asked a manager if he would go to my truck with me so I can take the yarn to show my boyfriend and if it is the right color . He said no problem . I am so happy he did .
