Wait times are ridiculous

Saw a doctor at this urgent care, he refused to prescribe antibiotics for a bacterial infection. I went to another urgent care and it was determined that I did require antibiotics, the same one I have been taking annually for years. I understand the press hype, I too have glanced at People magazine and read the same article, (when they need a filler,) about the evolution of drug resistant bacteria due to overly prescribed antibiotics. I am also aware that antibiotics do nothing for a viral infection. As for medication resilient bacteria, I am living in the here and now, am I suppose to wait for the super bacteria messiah? It is as if some doctors now receive their education through social media and latch onto the mantra of the day. The Tic Tok doc? Where do they get these people? How do they get through medical school? Why does this particular urgent care have more than their share? This is the second time. No, I don't believe every doctor at this urgent care is incompetent, but do you really want to take the gamble on getting this one? Antibiotics came into existence for a reason. I propose a diagnostic competition. Traditional medical doctor vs someone who watches YouTube videos. I wonder who would come out the victor? My bet is on the YouTuber. Let's just hope for AI to develop to finally replace the incompetence too often experienced by those unfortunate people that land on the wrong provider at this particular urgent care.

I have been to this Urgent Care location numerous times and have had great assistance each time. The wait is never too long and the staff are helpful and pleasant. The doctors are superb. They take the time with you and always know their stuff! My recent experience going in on Labor Day because of a bad fall was good. I had a good doctor - Issa M Botros - who was very caring and helped me greatly. Best Urgent Care Center!

Came in today and had a really great experience! Wait was only 15 minutes or so for a small problem. Everyone I spoke with was very kind, from the front desk to the medical assistants that helped resolve my issue. I'll be coming back again if I need!

This is the only urgent care I go to in my area, the office staff is always friendly. The nurses and doctors are great! I never feel rushed when I come and they listen to my concerns. The wait time can vary but the shortest I've waited is 10 minutes and longest only 1 hour.

Best place ever! I did a 9:00am walk-in on a Sunday and was out by 9:40! First timer and hope to never be back. But it's certainly nice to know this place exists in the unlikely event.

This urgent care establishment is Absolutely Nonchalant about the fact that they Do Not Honor their Hours Of Operation. They close at 6! And not 7pm as stated on their front door. This particular "Urgent Care" is a joke, and could care less about anyone's time, energy or need for care.

0/10 I do not recommend!!! Brought in my 2yo son in due to him having hives and the Dr said it was just dry skin and to put hydrocortisone on it, I asked multiple times are you sure and he still just kept saying it's dry skin. So glad the er isn't far from here because my son could've been having a severe allergic reaction. DO NOT EVER BRING ANYONE HERE and we will be reporting this Dr.

My experience with Dr. Hennessay was great. She was really helpful during my visit and explained to me in details what she was going to do. Thank you very much for your help and time.

Brought my wife in for a severe headache and stomach ache. At check in we were told there were 6 people ahead of us. After waiting for an hour, when I checked I was told there were 5 people ahead of us. When I asked how was that possible since they sure processed more than 1 person in an hour, the answer I received was "because other people are sick too." Go figure how that relates to my question. The receptionist or nurse or whoever it is that sits on there desk upfront was pretty rude too. I really don't recommend coming to this facility since there are several others on this general area that are much better. I came here since it is closest to my home, but it was a mistake. I've had unsatisfactory experience in this same facility about 3 years ago but I thought things might be different now - definitely NOT SO.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! A sorry excuse of a place! I came in with an injury that I got from work and refused to see me because I could not supply them with the insurance company that was going to be responsible for the worker's comp claim. I waited over 2 hours and the office that I WORKED for was of no help because I decided to no longer work for them after my injury. No one was willing to give urgent care the information needed in order for me to seek medical treatment. I could barely walk, stand or even move. I finally decided to tell them that I will pay for the visit but I needed to be seen for this pain I had 10/10. They still refused to see me. After finally figuring out who my old employer was using for my worker's comp claim, they decide to send me to Torrance Urgent care down the street. A MILLION times better! Prior to that, I was asked to move to another waiting room while waiting for a response from my old employer and when I move to the waiting room next door, I have a receptionist who questions me if I was given clearance to sit there. Do you know what a 10/10 pain is and having to sit in your waiting room for over 2 hours and your question to me is if I have been cleared to sit in YOUR waiting room? Absolutely clueless, unprofessional staff working for this joke of a place. I finally go over to the main check in area and pick up my ID and proceed to go to Torrance Urgent care. As I am leaving, the gal checking people in decides to tell me that they have no xray machines at Torrance Urgent care. What do you care when you know damn well I was sitting in your waiting room over 2 hours and you could care less? Your office refused to see me. That is the bottom line. Torrance Urgent care immediately took me in and stated that their priority was to have me be seen and then the insurance information could be supplied to them later. That is how healthcare is supposed to work. Please do yourselves a favor and avoid this place at all costs. Go down the street to Torrance Urgent Care where the staff genuinely listens to you and there is no hesitation in getting you seen.

5 days ago NEW absolute nightmare!, i wish i could put negative 5 !!!!. DO NOT take your elderly family member there.!!!!' my dad is 88 years old with poor health and dementia. i have power of attorney over my father that the hospital has on file . my dad is a VET so until this emergency nightmare i was taking him to the VA in West La where they treat him like a king .everyone that works there takes their job seriously and are very respectful to the patient and their family . The VA is about 1.5 hours from my home so i did not have the time to get him to the VA EMERGENCY. so when his emergency came up ( he was urinating pure blood ) i MISTAKENLY took him to providence emergency IN torrance which is 15 minutes from my home. they kept him in emergency that day and wanted to release him home?????? they originally thought it was kidney failure then they told me it was a very bad infection . i literally had to argue with the docture until they agreed to admit him to the hospital ( which is 100% better than the emergency side) .( he ended up staying 2 nights because the infection was so serious. when he was released from the hospital everything seemed fine. 2 days later my dad was complaining about a bad sore throat he went back to providence emergency (Huge mistake, but i was out of country and my nephew was stressed out ) they did multiple test and it came back that my dad has covid. he clearly got it at PROVIDENCE . this is where it gets worse . i spoke with a Josh in emergency for some reason he thought it was funny because I was upset I asked him to let me talk to the doctor ( keep in mind josh put me on hold over 20 minutes a few times just to mess with me . i finally got a hold of the doctor in charge Dr Lee ( how she's a doctor is beyond me). I was explaining to her I did not want my father released he needed to get a bed in the hospital.she told me he did not meet the criteria and she would not approve him getting a bed i asked what the criteria is ? he has to be dead??? my dad has heart disease, lung Disease everything you can think of and NOW he has Covid which he got at PROVIDENCE . When I started to get upset and angry and yelling I must have hurt her feelings because she hung up on me .....who does that? I called back and talk to Josh (who the hell would hire this guy) Keep in mind everyone i was dealing with knew i just left the country but was trying to get home to my dad . You think they would have a little more patience with me I'm literally 18 hrs. away from my dad. i was informed that dr lee refused to talk to me .then josh let me know they where spending to much time on my dad and myself i was told not to call back that I was harassing them . at that time my dad has covid is having a hard time breathing and they released him to my nephew).so when i found out he was released i had him go back and forth to the emergency until they finally admit him to the hospital. Now I understand the low rating of Providence emergency..and I'm sure it's people like Josh, Dr. Lee and Dr. Santiago do not help their business because that's how they treat it like a business. i hope Josh, dr lee and dr santiago never get people like themselves helping Their own family member UPDATE hilarious i can not get anyone to call me back and doctors are hanging up on me.but once this post went up i received a call Immediately they are more worried about my review than taking care of my 88 year old father who caught COVID under PROVIDENCE care. ( they just want him out of the EMERGENCY ROOM AND SENT HOME ) this is unbelievable i will be making sure whoever runs this joke of an emergency room knows exactly WHAT IS GOING ON. they need to shake up that staff. i did encounter 2 VERY NICE people but they told me they where new and wish they could help me. how about promoting them and getting rid of the Jokers stayaway from this emergency room until they clean house. only my opinion...... after yelling screaming from out of the country he finally received a bed in the hospital. he also finally has a doctor who care

I visited this urgent care today for two separate issues (both not life-threatening). When signing in, they collect all the information for your reasoning on a slip along with your contact information, etc. since the policy is to wait in your car due to Covid. I was lucky enough to only wait about 30 minutes in my car which was great. However, upon seeing the doctor she mentioned she could not assist me with either issue. I was recommended to go to two separate physicians in which she kindly offered to send 1 referral for me, and the other would have to be provided by my primary. I originally asked my primary if they were able to see me which they couldn't get me in for another 4 days (hints why I went to Urgent Care). I am not sure if this is a healthcare issue, or just plain robbery at the hands of the urgent care for not informing me in the beginning they could not assist with the two reasonings for me coming in. If they felt so strongly that I should have gone to the ER or specialists, or did not have the correct materials/machines to provide care, they should have informed me once I arrived and provided my reasonings for coming in. I would have appreciated the honesty.
