I have been going to this vet since 2016 but have been frustrated by their service throughout the years. It is impossible to book an appointment unless it is 1-2 months later. My dog suffers from seizures and needs physicals in order for his prescription to be filled. When I mentioned this the clinic does not seem to care and I'm just told to book an appointment a month later. If my dog does not have his medication his seizures become severe and more frequent. As I'm trying to change his vet I also asked for his medical records to be sent and it has been an unnecessary struggle. They say one thing after another on the delay, and I'm forced to call multiple times to ask when I will receive it. The overall delay and lack of attention shows what kind of clinic this is. Do not take your pet here as this clinic doesnt care about the animals at all.

This group of animal professionals are the best-of-the-best in their craft. They are skilled, compassionate, warm, wonderful humans that you would want to be there for you during the life of your animal. My beloved, Oliver is my reason for me to visit this hospital for his animal needs. I couldn't be more grateful for their, love, care, compassion and knowledge over the years. It has been such a blessing!Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I took my pitbull Sweet Pea because she was having difficulty delivering her pups and they were going to charge me $8,694 to give her a C Section and she died before they did and they still charged me 2,469. My pitbull had one pup alive and I attempted to take care of her but she started thriving less and less. They charged me $400 just to see her and then charged me another $192 for antibiotics instead of telling me that the pup would die before I got her home. They could've just told me that she had no chance to survive. Instead they over charged me to even see her and then charged me another $192 just for antibiotics. And the puppy died less than 20 minutes after I took her away from the hospital. And on top of that, she was bleeding out of her mouth and nose. I didn't bring her bleeding. Shame on VCA. All you guys really care about is money. You don't really care about the animals. I'll never go back. I'm better off keeping my sick animals at home. They have a better chance with me. Smh.???. I guess they believe that only wealthier people should have animals but they can't keep them all. Nor would they. Doctors that don't really care!!!!!

I've been taking my pet to this location since he was a puppy, he is now 9 years. It's sad that every time I call for an appointment or even for a same day emergency I'm told that they don't have anything available until 2 to 3 months. If you need something simple like a vaccine they can get your pet seen miraculously within the same week, otherwise forget about getting your pet seen for any other issue. I've had to take my dog to another location PAW Veterinary in Redondo twice already and I've had no issues with scheduling or having my pet seen for a same day emergency, they are great . VCA Clarmar you have lost my business after so many years.

I just left here and the receptionist was so rude and unfriendly.. I'm not sure I want to return to this place. This is our 3rd round of medication for my puppy .She has worms which seems to be a problem getting rid of.I'm not sure I even like this doctor. I don't feel any warmth or connection with this doctor and not sure I even like her.

Tiffany is rude. I don't know if I'll keep coming to this location. All the techs are kind and friendly. Love the doctors. But the reception staff make me feel as if I'm not welcome. Kyle was the office manager before the pandemic. The energy in the office was kind and considerate no matter how busy.Bright and welcoming. And now....What happened?? Reading the other reviews make it seem like nothing is being done about it.

The last time I went, they knew i was coming to pick up my pet's medicine. But the whole place was boarded up. There was a sign to call. I called. The employee refused to come out to take my payment. And she said I wasn't allowed to come in. I drove away without the medicine. It is a painkiller. ? ? ? ?The doctors are great. But this assistant is worse than useless. I think I know her name. But I won't say it here since I'm not sure.

Finding another vet. We've been going to VCA Clarmar for years and simply have to leave. Basically rude receptionist, cranky assistants, recommendations to buy expensive unneeded tests and ridiculous prices. The tipping point for us was...despite years of being a loyal customer...we needed a simple shot of meds for rudimentary pet allergy. We were told we need full physical visit with the Dr with new blood tests and an appointment six weeks out...despite the fact the pet's been on the same allergy medicine for years.

I do not plan to return to this office. Today we took our cat for her annual check up, and was quoted $528.15 for a EDD Senior blood panel+urine test. In 11/2021, it was $289.6 (which we have a receipt). Our cat does have a high glucose level in the 2021 visit but we ruled out diabetes since she has no signs of any symptoms. In the meantime, physical checkup (consultation) goes up to $107.85 (how nice not to quote $108 straight) from $85, and Rabies vaccine goes up to $70.05 (how nice to have the $0.05) from $52. Also, we were quoted toothpaste and flea controls ($18 and $143.55), which were not on the 2021 bill. So our quote basically goes up 3 times compared to our 2021 billl; we declined all the tests and goods, then we were quoted another $270 for a kidney test and urine. Everyone needs to eat, we get it, but let's not be greedy by jacking up the price of everything by 25-80%. We don't grow money. Soon we won't be able to afford a vet, guess they will also go out of business? Before then, just go up as much as you like to quote the pet owners because we love our pets.

Took my dog Sparky for a wellness checkup and Toni the CSR was AMAZING! She reviewed the care plan that was available and helped me sign up. The Staff was also super friendly and patient. Sparky does show his teeth when people get near his face and the staff were really patient, understanding and found a way to still make sure Sparky got fully checked up. Major kudos to everyone in the office! Thank you :)

Oh, my I don’t where to begin, Suffice to note if you walk in this office to have your animal treated for anything and everything you will encounter individuals who will care for your pet as if they were their own, Special recognition goes to Dr. Matsumoto who is so gifted at her craft I’m grateful my animal is her patients, Toni at the front desk who is an absolute delight to interact with each time I need to schedule an appointment, Alex who helps the vets is filled with compassion and embodies what healthcare should be for animals and of corse Kyle who is soft spoken and gentle in all interactions. I am so thankful for these Individuals but every but all the people that work at this hospital are tremendous and my animal and I are thankful for each of you!

I scheduled my appointment with the vet tech and then I wrote the wrong time on my calendar by mistake. I came a full 2 and a half hours late. Despite this being COMPLETELY my fault and due to my own stupidity, they still saw me!!! Given, they weren’t too busy and it wasn’t an appointment with the vet but this just goes to show how these amazing folks go above and beyond. They ALWAYS take care of me. I can’t recommend VCA Clarmar more highly.
