Took my 2009 Escape in when the check engine light came on. My brother had told me I needed new spark plugs. Dan asked me if I wanted to just go by what my brother said or do a diagnosis. I opted for the diagnosis and am very glad I did. One of my injectors was bad. Total cost for one injector and 6 plugs was a LOT cheaper than other shops and they communicated with both my brother and me as to the progress of the job. Save yourself grief, go here first!

I don't know what they did but my car ran decent before I took it to get a tune up today. Not great but decent. Now $430 later!! my car runs rough and dies on idle. I could have bought another car with what I spent for them to mess up mine.

The girl who works the front was nice and I appreciate that the didn't charge me anything since it didn't have a diagnostic code. However, they didn't even look at my car to find out why it was leaking oil and the owner has poor customer service. He really pissed off my husband so we picked up the car instead of waiting more hours for them to finally look at it.

I can't express how much relief it is having an honest, knowledgeable mechanic. Dan and his team never seem to disappoint. They know their trade inside and out and are never afraid to say we can't perform that job rather than saying "Yeah, we can fix it", when it's something they don't do. I've been a loyal Customer to D&M for over 5 years now, and travel from out of the area (San Jose) to have them work on my vehicles because it's honest reputable work done right the first time. No one likes hearing of costly repairs, and most can't help to think "They're trying to rip me off" I can attest that not only has D&M always provided me the services/repairs at a fair price, they've also saved me money by telling me services that my vehicles may soon need such as; brakes are low, but don't need to be replaced yet, serpetine belt is showing wear, but OK at this time, tires need to be replaced (they don't sell or recommend you to someone) but replace soon to avoid damaging other suspension parts, air filters is getting dirty and will need to be replaced at next oil change, etc. Most places will try to get you to do the work even when it may not be needed yet. I whole heartedly trust D&M and take their word. I've had enough experiences with car dealerships shops, and shady mechanics, to know a gem when I find one. D&M you're the best I truly appreciate all you've done for me and my cars over the years!

Just got ANOTHER valve cover gasket SOMWHERE ELSE. The mechanic showed me my old gasket and said D&M put ENTIRELY too much sealant on it which caused the leak. It also got all over my camshaft (or crankshaft) and he was nice enough to scrape that off. Thanks D&M!!

Brought my car here because another shop could not find my leak. My vehicle left with no oil or transmission oil put back in the vehicle. They say a young African American women and all they wanted was me to return in hopes of income tax money. I called to let them know my findings. Yes, they are asking for more money saying typically when you fix one thing something else goes wrong. They may have been good to other customers but they swindled me out of $300. I'm pissed but what do you know it happened I would never go back to this shop again and hope they get in trouble because I'm going to the better business bureau on they a****

Terrible, terrible service. Was over charged and car had check engine light on first time I drove it after leaving shop. Called to talk to Dan (after he over talked me for ten minutes I hung up) and got nowhere! He didn't care that car wasn't working, told me to call around and see what other places would do (but I wouldn't be refunded any extra charges). No communication at all!!

We found Dan at D&M through a friend after we moved to Tracy. It is hard to find someone to trust to work on your cars but after our first visit, I knew he was a good guy. This review is for some service he handled on our 2013 Ford Escape. The shifter cable broke and we had the car towed to Dan to fix. Little did we both know but this problem was later recalled by Ford. I submitted the invoice to Ford for reimbursement and they paid the bill in full. This tells me that Dan did the work and did not overcharge us for the parts and labor. I am so glad we trusted our gut instinct. D&M will be our new home for all our car repairs.

Best mechanic in town! Being a teenage girl, taking my car to a mechanic is something I would stress about and would usually bring my dad along to make sure I wasn't scammed out of some money. But D&M is truly the best place you can take your car and not have to worry about them trying to pocket more money. I've taken my car in three separate times and each time they've been quick, warm, helpful, and just a great shop. I have now found a mechanic to commit to who i know will take care of me and my car.

So incredibly pleased with the service I got here. My alternator went out and I brought it in, and Dan and the team were able to tell me what the issue was and get it taken care of and back to me in just a few hours! It's running great now and honestly it was great and fast service for a super decent price. Thank you Dan for getting my car back to me so quickly! You're a lifesaver! Highly recommending you guys to everyone I know.

This place only wants to do simple and easy work for the money, seek for someplace else if you want a good professional repair shop

The light that every car driver hates to see/hear: Check Engine. My 2007 Toyota Sienna recently got this light and going to the local Toyota dealership, they literally wanted $500 to $600 in repairs. We had to get our van ready for our family trips we are taking later this summer and needed to get this problem taken care of. I tried calling several garages and all of them were either busy and couldn't see till the late afternoon or were booked with appointments. Enter D&M Automotive. I called them up early Monday morning and Aneica answered the call. She told me that despite not having an appointment, that there was time to bring in my van at 11am. Needless to say, I took her up on the offer. Upon arriving at the facility, they had a nice seating area with complimentary coffee, water and cookies. Soon as I arrived, I waited about an hour and Dan (the owner of the shop) let me know what was exactly causing the check engine light. He told me that the repair would be done this afternoon and would be done at a much better price than it would be at the dealership. The thing I was most impressed by my visit was the excellent customer service provided as well as the honesty and integrity the shop had in letting me know what the repair would be and the cost. After doing business here today,I would highly recommend this shop for all of your automotive needs. Look no further than D&M Automotive!

Dan is a great guy and tries to work within your budget. He will tell you everything that needs to be done, then tell you what can wait and what needs to happen sooner than later. I will definitely return and recommend them to others.
