unfortunately, i think i was judged based off of my looks and age and was scammed at the salon a couple weeks ago. made it clear what i wanted and did not at all get what i want, instead got overcharged and the stylist added a fee for a treatment I didn’t even get. some of the stylists have a weird attitude and need to be more professional around clients. whatever, they took my money anyway but can confidently say i will never refer a friend nor ever come back. be nicer, ulta Tracy lol.

I had a hairstyling appointment booked and was canceled on just an hour before my scheduled time. It was incredibly disappointing, especially since I had plans afterward. They simply told me to reschedule for a later time, which felt very dismissive. Because of this experience, I’ve decided I won’t be returning.

Very Disappointed with the Service
I visited the Ulta in Tracy on Tuesday and had a really disappointing experience. I asked an older white woman who I believe is a manager if I could smell a fragrance. She told me she was just getting back from lunch and asked me to wait a minute. I did, but moments later another customer came up asking to smell fragrances, and she helped them right away, taking her time with them.
When she finally came back to me, I only got to smell one fragrance before she walked off. She didn’t ask which one I liked, didn’t offer to show me anything else, and showed zero interest in actually helping or making a sale. It felt dismissive and rude.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve had poor service here, but it will be the last. I won’t be returning to this location.

Won’t be coming back. They have the Estée Lauder foundation listed as 10% off when you google search it. I understand that’s a technicality but it should specify. When I brought it up to the register they didn’t honor it which is fine but the manager made it seem like it’s my fault and how is that my fault they have it listed that way. It’s only for pick up which is really weird. In that case they should specify right on the link. I’ll go to Macy’s.

I love the whole place, it is always smelling AMAZING and there’s always workers there to help, Serena specifically is amazing and super helpful with anything, she gives you precise information about products and never gets annoyed or judges and relates her experiences with you by relating hers to you. Overall, the prices, the service, the shop itself is amazing and I would definitely shop there more.

Had an extremely horrendous experience recently at Ulta. Their system had an issue and I was charged $361.30 without any proof of purchase in their system. No receipt could be provided. The manager held my stuff and advised me to come back the next day to see if my credit card was charged. I agreed thinking that she was doing me a favor. Went there the following day and still the same issue though my bank confirmed that the charge was applied to my card. The manager called Ulta guest services and I spoke with a representative. After a bit of a run around, he asked me to email Ulta the pdf of the credit card statement, last 4 digits of the card and mode of payment. After I did so still no response. When I called back they again gave me a run around. Spoke with the supervisor who said she will handle my complaint. However, the response was to provide the receipt which was communicated in written from day 1 that Ulta couldn’t provide me one. After despair, filed a dispute with my bank so will wait. Please be cautious as the manager at the store herself had stated that many other customers had the same issue. Won’t be going back!!

Love the hell out of Ulta but hate the crap out of the sales clerks who judge someone based on their looks, make you feel like they are watching you as you shop thinking based on ur looks that you are stealing as they look at your basket thinking I MUST be stealing or somehow I won't be able to pay for everything in my basket, and then type in phone number at checkout their faces look like I gave the wrong number and absolutely every time they make me give again assuming they entered it wrong so 2x or 3x they shrug it like I gave them the wrong one because no way this chick looks like this and is their top club diamond member.... Sales clerk looks smug asking how I'll be paying for my $300-$500 total.... Me everytime, what's easier for you so I can push the limits and overwork your judgements of me cash or card and no I'll leave my over $500 worth of points sitting right there since the diamond member status means it doesn't expire and well .... If Ulta trained their employees who are always yes, beautiful but personally I think ugly inside since they judge everyone based on looks and rarely answer a question for someone who looks like me vs. The gal all dolled up and beautiful with makeup plastered all over her face in the same manner... She gets all the time and details I get the point and around that area should be what u want... .either way, I may look like some bum off the street who doesn't belong in Ulta with a basket full of bath/shower nail products (I don't wear makeup but anything for nails or for a shower routine or similar products are an obsession for me that had my 3 bathrooms overflowing with products) it's sad that I absolutely love Ulta for their products but hate shopping at Ulta for the judgements I absolutely suffer through every single time..... I'll admit, I may not be a woman who looks like I remotely care about looks because I actually don't care at all but maybe it's because I have had a past history that isn't me anymore and I'm a successful, hardworking woman in the legal field who is working to her juris doctorate and idc if I were some bum with 10 bucks in my pocket, each person is a human being and well sometimes it would be nice if Ulta hired those humans who don't see beautiful as the service level they provide to customers because this 'ugly thief' will always laugh everytime as I give my number twice and then when asked smugly how I'm paying, I'll enjoy the looks when I call out the judgement they gave as I pull my wallet out and start with the cash but switch to card simply because I can't overwork the clerk with counting change if her judgement can't handle i actually have never stolen in my lifetime and my looks are a past car accident and some poor choices but I absolutely can afford to buy all I picked out and then some, moreover, the phone to the diamond member with over $500 in points is indeed mine and you may be beautiful but you're ugly to assume and if Ulta finds women who are aware that a woman is a woman regardless and looks should never be what you find as the respect they choose to show... Every woman is equal and the respect shown isn't based on beauty but my own judgement is that your respect levels shows your judgements and that alone shows more than my looks ever will in volumes of truth!

The plan was just to pick up my online order. But it's 21 days of beauty and there were some more nice deals to explore. I was greeted immediately upon entry, which is very welcoming. Assistance was offered, I only looked around for a few minutes before I was in line with my new purchases. When i mentioned my order, staff was very friendly. There are service issues inside this location so it took me about a full minute or two to pull up my email to get the bar code requested. Once the email and code were retrieved, another associate came up front to help me since the cashier was now ringing up other guests. She allowed me to open my order to verify it was correct. Nice touch. Happy with all my purchases. I plan to order a few more items during this sale. On an another note. I ordered items to be shipped to me that were online only deals. Those arrived the same day I went to puck up my order, so everything was perfect. Wearing my new glasses and mascara today.

I’ve been going to Ulta Salon for a year now, and I have nothing but great words to say. They’re polite, always have a positive energy, very transparent and helpful! Amazing place, the prices are great too! Shout out to Taylor, great service!

Shoppers with Ulta has always been a hit or miss when it comes to service. There has been a lot of variances across locations. I was in town for a wedding and decided to stop in and grab some makeup. Selena color matched me with some foundations and concealer. She did an OUTSTANDING job! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive. She's an asset to their business. She was also very patient and consultative which is very rare these days in retail. Also, the gentleman who assisted me at the register when I was checking out was very friendly and helpful too. I'd highly recommend asking for Selena if you come in and have product questions. You won't be sorry!
