“The best Dr. Ross is very experienced in diagnosis and superb in service. Staff is dedicated and courteous.If you need appointment it's usually 4 weeks but for minor issues you can simply call and stop by between 2:00 - 4:00pm on Wednesday and they serve you on First come First Serve basis.”

“I’ve been taking my dog to paws and claws and it’s been awesome with most of the visits. Nurses were sweet with handling my dog, doctor Abigail was great and gave great advice’s with some of the questions & concern we had. She prescribed shampoo for my fur baby for skin issue and it was awesome, I noticed great result after first use. Clinic is clean and neat, they have nice sitting area. You can either park in front or back of the clinic. Overall great and affordable veterinary clinic in central Bay Area.”

“Not sure why some old reviews have issues with front desk, but my experiences with it (been going there everyday for over 2 weeks ) has been very pleasant. Technicians are all very friendly and most importantly, care about their patients. My doctor (Dr. McStay) has been very caring and knowledgeable about my dog's issues while also open to suggest other treatments even if they dont offer it. I can feel safe to have them take care of my beloved dogs.”

“My daughter had her two rescue kittens. They were both vaccinated. But One got leukemia. Linda was so Compassionate and understanding. Dr. Jackson was incredibly patient, respectful and caring. Answered my daughter through email to understand what Poppy was going through. Poppy died after 1.5 yrs of life. He was such a strong, sweet boy. He was so strong we thought he might beat the leukemia. But one morning we found him passed away. I called old river and they said they could cremate Poppy. We could bring him in any time. We did the private cremation, they have us a paw print, a bottle with some of Poppy's fur and now my daughter has Poppy near her wherever she goes. It's such a sad situation. With all the appointments, old River exceeded any expectations. They were all so amazing. Where Jules vet fell so far short.”

“It’s been a overall good experience for my family and our two dogs Dexter and Enzo. A pair of Queensland Healers. I appreciate the patience that the staff has because Enzo is very scared to go to the Vet and he is not the easiest to take care of because of this. I know that it’s hard but they never make us feel uncomfortable or self conscious over the “misbehavior “ of my pup. These things don’t go unnoticed.”

“I see all the bad reviews for this place and I had one experience that I was not happy with but since then it has been very positive. In August 2021 we discovered that our 9 yr old Boxer was had a tumor. Another vet did the surgery and we never got any information on what type of tumor it was. I went to this other vet based on the reviews I saw however, when I called to get an appt because of some swelling after her meds were done, we couldn't get in. We were told it was probably fluid draining and would dissolve on its own. A week later we see that there were more concerns like swelling under her chin. We took her to Grantline Hosp and they took very good care of her. Everyone there really cared for her and us, especially when we realized there was nothing more we could do to make her better, it was cancer. We had her appt set but there was a moment at home where she stopped breathing and we asked if we could get her there asap. We were able to but the vet was not in yet, we just wanted her in a safe place should it happen again. I cannot express enough our gratitude for all they did. 2 surgeries and many tears later they were very supportive, compassionate and respectful. Healthcare field is very difficult anymore. Pet owners go into vet offices in an emotional state when the pet is ill, just remember these vet health professionals are human too and as hard as it is on the pet owner, it is the same for them when a belived pet of ours is lost.”
