We spent 3 nights in this wonderful cute cabin. It's perfectly located to visit redwood national park. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The cabin itself cozy and cute. We used the little kitchenette every morning to make a good cup of coffee and breakfast. Trinidad has some beautiful spots to watch the sunset. There's a little grocery store in town that has everything you need.

Husband and I had a really nice stay here! One of the best parts was the complimentary breakfast provided every morning, super convenient and thoughtful. The cabin itself was spacious, with a full fridge and freezer, which made it easy to store our groceries. It also had cups, plates, utensils, and a handy sink area, which we really appreciated.
The only downside was the cleanliness of the floors. After three days, all of our socks were black on the bottoms, and when I looked under the bed, it was very dusty, we even found a used sock left behind. My suggestion would be to pay a bit more attention to cleaning, especially under the furniture.
Other than that, it was a great place in a great location, and we really enjoyed our time there!

I spent three days here. I loved cabin 6 has a great mini kitchen. With all the cooking amenities and plates and silverware for four people. When room had a king size bed and the other had a queen size bed. The shower head great water pressure and actually could be uncomfortably hot which is a plus because most places have lukewarm water. The living room comfortably sits three people. The hot tub was a great I enjoyed that I had its own separate room that's enclosed. They have two grills that are open to the guests and a huge open space. I will be bringing my family and we will be renting for the family reunion next year a few of these. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. This establishment is more modern than some of the other places I have stayed in the same strip area also cheaper.

This lodge is a hidden gem off the beaten path. It is only a short drive from Redwood NP and is a quiet getaway from the crowd. We enjoyed watching the birds flying around the yard in the morning and the evening. We also enjoyed watching the sunset at nearby Wedding Rock point. After a day of hiking in the parks, this is a great place to come back and relax. Highly recommended.

Close to the ocean. Downside… cabin is pretty run down. The little love seat is nasty and stained up and uncomfortable. The floor is dirty. There are stains on the curtains and walls. The hot tub looks like it’s never been cleaned with stains on it and stuff floating in the water. The free breakfast is a bagel and a granola bar. This place has potential but upkeep has fell through the cracks.

Great place to stay in this area! Not far from ocean views, fully stocked, friendly staff, easy parking, free breakfast... what more could you need.

A Serene Retreat Between the Redwoods and the Sea
Nestled just north of Trinidad, California, View Crest Lodge offers a tranquil escape amidst nature's splendor. The lodge's hillside location provides breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean, allowing guests to unwind to the soothing sounds of the waves and distant sea lions.
Our cottage was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, blending rustic charm and modern comfort.
The staff at View Crest Lodge are kind and professional. We will come back!!

We stayed here for three nights at the end of February, it was amazing! The staff was very friendly. The cabin was very clean and we loved having our private hot tub. We also loved the little continental breakfast delivered each evening for the next morning. The little laundry room was very convenient. The view was spectacular! You could see the ocean and hear the waves. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in Northern California. It was a great central location for exploring the redwoods.

Wonderful stay. Cabins were cozy with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. View is fantastic, so nice to hear the ocean swell and sea lions. Staff were all very friendly and responsive. Breakfast included was an added bonus that we weren’t expecting. Very convenient location to explore southern half of redwood national park. Trinidad is right down the road and is a really cool town with beautiful views and tasty eats.

Our cabin was everything we could have hoped for! Came with two young kids (age 3 and 1) and felt incredibly happy with our experience. The view is amazing, and we LOVED that you can hear the ocean and sea lions. Cabin was cozy and clean with everything we needed. Hot tub was such a nice touch. The breakfast service was our favorite part- especially with how convenient they have it set up. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be staying again!

Our cottage was clean and comfortable. Everything we expected. Both the living room and bedroom have TV’s. Constructive criticism: there really should be an extra blanket this time of year (October), and unfortunately there was no heating in the bathroom. Not so good was the wi-fi – VERY slow in our room.
