Very nice hotel in a great location. I think there needs to be a limit on how long people can be in the hot tub if there is no ability to share it with others because when we were there a dad and his kids were in it for a significant period of time and when you are with your significant other you don’t exactly want to be chilling in the hot tub with a bunch of little kids

The hotel staff were so helpful, kind, and really made my wife and I feel like we were being taken care of. Note for other guest, read the given instructions for the shower. There is hot water, you just have to PRESS in the temperature handle. The staff knows it's a dumb shower head, most are these days. Great room, great location, only caveat is the 20% restaurant discount. Was originally told it was for guest, got it once, but then was told it is for members only? They gave me 10% off at least on the 2nd meal, but it seems inconsistent. I just didn't have time to ask about what the actual policy is. If you are having dinner and like fish, get the cod.
Nearby activities: Hiking. Lots and lots of hiking! Also cruises.
Safety: As someone who works in a dangerous part of SF, this is the safest ive felt in a town in a long time. Close to town, but still tucked away and secluded. 5 stars.

This boutique hotel in Truckee, only a mile from downtown is darling! Firepits, hot tub, sauna and super friendly staff make the hotel a perfect gathering place.

Pet Lovers Beware! This is a not a pet friendly place, especially if booked thru third party. After booking reservation and prior to check-in, you must have proof you disclosed your pet(s) to them. They will try to up-charge you for a "pet friendly" room, $100 + and a $50 "per pet" fee. If you can't pay extra, they will refund your reservation and tell you to go elsewhere. Their pet policy and fees are buried in one of the many promo emails they send, after initial confirmation is received.
After a long drive, haggling, begging for mercy and finally folding with the front desk, I got treated to a cold shower! Front desk failed to tell me about hidden button on shower for hot water, which was limited. Good on site restaurant with nice manager, but didn't receive advertised 20% discount for hotel guests. Grounds and room are nice with comfy bed, but just remember pet lovers, it will cost you, maybe double your paid reservation!

So honestly the best hotel we had on our trip. Great price-performance ratio. It's not a typical American hotel. I felt like I was in Iceland. Sauna, whirlpool, fitness, everything is available. And the receptionist was super nice. Very child friendly!
Rooms: Equipped to a high standard. Marble table, solid wood furniture.

This was the first stay of hopefully many. We travel from Boise to Placerville, CA to visit family. This made the trip exceptionally nice and relaxing. We normally stay in Reno, this will be a new stay for us.

The hotel positions itself as an eco-hotel, and it really is. Beautiful location, comfortable, clean rooms, incredibly delicious tea and coffee in the rooms, sauna and jacuzzi - all this creates its own special charm. I recommend the hotel to everyone and will come back here again! Special thanks to the reception for the wonderful service and responsiveness

Beautiful architecture and woodwork through out.
Nearby activities: 50/50 brewery and bike rental close. Took ebikes on a trail all the way to Northstar
Walkability: Great park across the street with a beautiful river trail
