It's been about 2 years since I parted ways with this office. Since seeing a few different vets since then, my previous suspicions have been confirmed that this vet tends to jump to worst case scenario. They gave one of my dogs Proin "for the rest of her life." They told me there were little to no side effects. Proin made my dog vomit daily, she wouldn't eat, she stopped trusting me with administering her drugs. She had multiple seizures. THESE ARE ALL VERY COMMON SIDE EFFECTS. They also prescribed my other dog, without seeing her, proACE, which I've since learned is a tranquilizer, but the dog is fully aware of what's going on, without being able to react. If you go to these people, please do your research before trusting their opinion. Seeing they have merch for sale now makes me happy I've walked away from them as a long time client.

These folks have been so incredibly good to my 16 year old pup, Suki, and I - in particular, Caroline & Dr. Kang - every time we have an issue, they contact us right away to discuss options, are there to provide our Rx immediately, etc. Thanks to them, our pup is able to rest comfortably, without anxiety. We are so very lucky to have them in our community!

Dr Kang and her team are professional and caring. Jen is the best vet tech and we love that she is back. We moved to Reno 5 years ago and still make the drive just to come here.

DOFP has taken care of my animals with care and helped through losing one of my dogs, they even made a donation in her name. Thanks caring for my furry family members

I feel very thankful for Dr. Kang and her team. My 13-year-old dog Cleo and I showed up without an appointment. Cleo was in bad shape after the dog we were fostering bit her. Dr. Kang had only seen Cleo once and still agreed to see her, even though Doctor's Office for Pets doesn't provide urgent care services. They took great care of her, and all the staff was so patient and caring. They answered all my questions and called between appointments to check on my dog. It was not cheap, vets never are, but they did not push procedures that were not needed.

Super friendly staff and vet. Great pet care without all the pressure so many vets push.

I will say that I genuinely appreciate the care and patience the vet techs gave my pup as he has a very very hard time being restrained for vaccines, and they were very calm and helpful despite his severe behavior (only during the vaccination procedure). My disappointment came with the stand in vet who administered his vaccines. From the moment she walked in the door I felt shamed for 1. not actively holding my pup on the table (he has never even attempted to jump off anything taller than two feet, and my primary vet does all the handling with him on the table so I've never been put in a position where I've had to restrain him so a simple "hey you might want to hold him," would have sufficed, rather than staring at me like I'm an imbecile) 2. this is not my primary vet, I am traveling from Austin, Texas, but provided all of his vaccine records (which he is up to date on) to which the vet jumped to a conclusion that I hadn't vaccinated him at all (maybe assumed I'm an antivaxer because I live in Texas, as she didn't know I'm from California) 3. she insinuated that I had not done my research on my dog's breed prior to getting him (perhaps because I'm in my late 20s and look younger), to which I assured her that I absolutely had 4. she also made me feel incredibly stupid for listening to the recommendations of my dog's breeder and primary veterinarian to not neuter my dog too early 5. prior to the appointment I was of the understanding that my pup was on his last round of core vaccines, per my primary vet's records, but following my appointment I was told that he still needed more, which made no sense unless they did not completely check his record. After reaching out to my primary vet, they clarified that he was in fact on his last round and had I followed the recommendation of this vet, I would have been over-vaccinating. My experience here was such a drastic contrast to my experience at my primary vet that I will be very hesitant to see any other vets in the future. I'd like to add that for a four month old, my pup is actually very well trained, socialized, and behaved for his age, but being restrained has been increasingly hard for him. I have never witnessed behavior like I saw today from him with his vets at home, potentially because they use a lot of positive reinforcement prior to sticking him with a needle, so his reaction was one I was not prepared for. This vet didn't even take a second to say hi to him, give him any treats, or let him adjust to being completely restrained, which from a behavioral perspective, basically set him up for failure, and had I not been so in shock, I probably could have advocated for him better. I am terrified that my dog is now traumatized when it comes to vets. Again the vet-techs were awesome and their help alone would have been deserving of 5 stars, had the stand-in vet not acted like I was an absolutely deplorable dog owner and treated my pup like the baby he actually is.

I recommend Dr.s Office for Pets. They are skilled and accommodating. I have had many pets under their care and always have found them to be extremely communicative and compassionate. My 10 yo kitty came back from his dental procedure and is happy and not traumitized. No weird vet smells either. They are terrific!

The best ever I'm moving to Hawaii and they're helping me get Nala over here. And she means enough to me to where I would not have moved to Maui if I could not get her with me. So that should explain the level of love. Lol.

I left a voicemail Sunday evening. Heather called back and left me a very kind and polite message explaining I am on the long wait list for a new patient appointment/establishment. Do you let me know that they would call me as soon as they are available to take new patients. Thank you for the quick, kind and efficient return call! Good luck guys! Sounds like time to raise the rates #communitydevelopment ! :)
