About Rivian Charging Station
The Rivian Charging Station is part of the Rivian Adventure Network of DC fast chargers built for Rivian owners, powered by 100% renewable energy. It provides automatic charging where drivers just pull up and plug in, offering over 200 kW initially with plans for 300 kW+, delivering up to 140 miles of range in 20 minutes for R1T and R1S vehicles. Located right next to Donner Pass Road at the West Truckee Center in a business center or strip mall, it is a great and convenient spot on the way to or from Reno. The site has lots of parking and all stalls are typically working, making it easy to pull in and out. A major highlight is its proximity to the Coffeebar Bakery, which provides a nice place to wait with coffee, lunch, baked goods, and teas, as well as restroom facilities. However, the station can become very busy, especially on winter Friday afternoons or in areas with few charging points on I-80, leading to occupied chargers and waiting vehicles. Some reviews note issues with parking etiquette, with customers sometimes incorrectly waiting in the drive aisle instead of proper parking spaces, suggesting the site layout could be improved. Despite occasional waits, charging is described as straightforward, fast, and with no problems, often taking around 15 minutes. It is a refreshing and popular spot for Rivian owners in the Tahoe area.

Updates to the latest charger design! There are NACS ports on some of the chargers too I believe. Charged slower 198kw than last time 214kw but that may have been different pre-conditioning levels. No issues overall.

Now accepting credit cards to charge most EVs! NACS will require an adapter though.
