I recently hired SHC to clean our house for our new tenants. They were responsive, professional and took great care in cleaning our 2nd home. Their prices are reasonable, their customer service has been impeccable and they give you peace of mind that your home away from home is well taken care of.

My family and I have been with SHC since its inception about 30 years ago. They are the most professional, responsible, ethical and pleasant company to deal with. They have always gone beyond the call of duty to please and genuinely care for the clients. Their team is awesome and when things are not quite to expectation, the issue is rectified in the most timely fashion. They are truly a 5 star company.

Second Home Care is fabulous. We had a bear invasion in our home last week. Mom and 2 cubs wrecked havoc throughout our home. Second Home Care to the rescue. They sent a cleaning crew, an inspector and the company owner the next day. They transformed a disaster area back to lovely and kept us posted with photos and phone contact throughout. They followed up all week with additional bear checkups and carpet cleaning. SHC went above and beyond.

Ever wonder if having second home care as a property manager is worth the fee. Yesterday they not only earned every penny but saved my home from serious damage. When ADT called to report our smoke alarm going off in Tahoe Donner we were in the Bay Area. I called Second Home Care who said they’d send someone immediately. Anders let the fire dept in to a Smokey house. He opened doors and windows while the source was investigated saving us from serious smoke damage. When it was determined the furnace motor that burned out he was able to contact theHVAC company and waited for them to arrive and install a new motor then secured the house and made sure all was in working order. My gratitude is unbounded!!!

Our experience with Noël and Second Home Care *Kona* has been professional and excellent.Noël has been our on-island contact and handled cleaning for our Kona Sea Village Airbnb condo since May 2022. She has done an outstanding job. We receive a report with before and after photos between guests and the cleaning has been very well done.Noël has responded rapidly to inquiries and issues our Airbnb guests have had. She, for example, brought in her own portable A/C unit for a guest who was particularly sensitive to the heat. She has handled various maintenance issues smoothly, e.g., replacing a broken glass pane for a jalousie window, replacing broken window blinds, a toilet seat, etc.My experience has been that Noël and company are very competent and get the job done right the first time. I highly recommend Noël and her team.

We purchased our second home 2 years ago and decided to interview a few different management companies. We met with Jennifer / Tyler and decided to have them watch over our home. Two years later I have to say they have been a lifesaver, handling many urgent matters in a professional and quick manner. No company (or customer) is perfect but I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great management group in Tahoe Donner.

Second Home Care is a lifesaver. We have been a client for 2 years now and I cannot say enough great things about their services and care of our home in Truckee. As a second home owner it is difficult to manage all of the seasonal and day to day chores of home care from afar. We also rent our property and they assist with opening the house, closing and alerting us to anything that needs repair. One of the things that I love is their newsletter each month. They remind us what things need to be done and when. It is such a relief. Having someone that we trust, communicates well and treats us/our home like family is invaluable. Highly recommend this team and their services.
