This is the worst pharmacy in the area. They are worse than normal rite aids, which is saying something. Slow service and rude employees. The pharmacy seems to be understaffed, so I understand why the employees are frustrated.

Entered this place needing a pair of clip on sunglasses because the snow and glare is really strong. As I walked in, I saw two workers standing near the front. I asked them where to find the clip on sun glasses. They looked at me like how dare you interrupt us. I asked again, and they said where the glass stuff is and then they walked away. Didn't even have the decency to point the direction. I walked around and there were a few people stocking shelves absolutely no desire to interact or deal with customers.I understand that Trukee is a tourist place, also compounded with alot of transient people hang around out front, But there's no reason to treat customers this way. There might be a shortage on quality workers, but during the training, maybe emphasize that customer retention should be paramount. Anyways, sad as I was a pharmacist for Riteaid in both Michigan and Northern Ca. for years and didn't expect this...

Rite Aid used to be great and then Covid happened. They massively cut hours and the shelves are so lowly stocked. Most recently, they closed their pharmacy. It wasn't until I visited my primary care where they informed me that the no longer have a pharmacist on staff hence no pharmacy. I get times are tough here, there aren't enough workers, etc etc etc, but CVS still has a pharmacy and reasonable store hours. Such a shame.

Pharmacy closed. No explanation, no potential solution, or time of reopening-just an angry clerk telling me to "Call 1-800-Rite Aid to bitch them out." Was the only solution they could come up with. I get that these folks are probably sick of people asking what's going on, but that doesn't help me at all. I will say I did call, but I'm not going to "bitch anyone out." I just need my medication. It didn't seem to do any good so far. I've been considering switching pharmacies prior to this month, but the choice is clear now.

The other day I was in Rite Aid. I saw a man encouraging his toddler to put his alcohol purchase on the counter for him and some small toy. The cashier tried to stop him from having his child put his alcohol items on the counter. The cashier explained to him that he could no longer sell him alcohol since he involved his child in the purchase. The man became extremely irate and stormed off. I applaud the cashier for not letting someone bully him into buying alcohol when he was trying to include his child in the purchase of his alcohol.

This store is prejudice against parents. I went into the store with my son who just turned two to check on something. I saw some alcohol I like in the clearance section and put 3 of them in my basket. At the register I grabbed two and put them on the counter and my son, who likes to help, grabbed the third and put it on the counter. The checker said he could no longer sell it to me because my two year old son touched it. I thought he was joking at first but he just kept staring me down with an unfriendly face. When I finally realized he was being serious (and a complete asshole at that) I said fine I'll just take the two he didn't touch. The checker then said he can't process my transaction at all. This not only annoyed me but also my son because he couldn't have the hot wheel he was excited about. It's bad enough that rite aid is so prejudiced towards parents and healthy child development but the fact that the checker was such an asshole is unacceptable. What do they expect parents to do? Kids are curious and like to touch things. It's a healthy and positive part of their development

This is for the pharmacy which is generally efficient and friendly. A lot of customers go here so be prepared for a longer wait but overall compared to other pharmacies, it's about what I would expect. I have also gotten my vaccine shot here. In fact the entire family has had flu shots here, and I went for Covid-19 booster. No problem scheduling online. For the regular area (non pharmacy), they are sometimes short staffed so the lines can get long.

Seriously NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER come to this pharmacy, I dont care how bad you need your prescription they'll end up wasting more of your time than anything else. idk about the rest of the store but from the reviews it seems just as bad. Requested a refill OVER 24 HOURS In advance, with at least like 2 and 1/2 hours left before close, and she makes a big deal about how they close soon (In like 3 hours?) and tells me it's gonna take 30-hour to fill the prescription (weird, but okay) After dealing with the rude, impatient, and honestly, mean front desk lady I finally get it ordered, by the time i get the ready text it's been over an hour, I'm in the middle of cooking and still have some of my last prescription left so I decide I'll pick it up the next day. I go to pick it up the next day and they quote me a ridiculously overcharged price, something like $90 dollars. (after giving them my insurance and good RX coupon) (which I now am not even entirely sure they entered correctly.) I have NEVER paid more than $20 for the prescription and I've been taking it for OVER A YEAR. on top of the absolutely god awful customer service from the lady at the counter (if you hate your job that much get a different god damn job lady.) They couldn't tell me why I've never had this problem anywhere else, and only here has it been so expensive, they told me sometimes the coupons are "out of date" what the fuck. This is a time sensitive prescription that i need right now and they can't explain to me why this is the only store that it's so expensive. Fucking criminals. Should be disgraced by the lack of a service they provide. PS WENT TO SAFEWAY PHARMACY IN THE SAME PARKING LOT and they filled it in 10 minutes and only charged me $20 before I even gave them the good RX coupons. WAY better over here. Screw rite aid. Y'all are the worst

Never, I repeat never, come here. Christopher and staff are incompetent. They messed up a fax request as well as a verbal request from my regular Pharmacy, lied about it saying my regular pharmacy's power went out (it never did), and worst; used his personal cell phone to request a referral (which is illegal). If this isn't bad enough, he didn't write down what the referral was for, so when I got there, it wasn't available. Honestly stunning.

Walked in shelves were bare in many aisles. Mentioned it to checkout person. She starts, " Oh yeah it's always that way we don't restock -- we don't have anyone to do this" WOW-- all I can say. Maybe Rite Aide needs to pay more so they can hire people to work or close.

George who works there needs to be fired. . I went to pay for my items and he accused me of stealing. This was after the first interaction where I asked if they had winter jackets (my son left his at home & this was the only store opened at the time) & his response was "I don't know. Go check" and then while checking out I Apple paid and had enough with his attitude so I walked out and he yells "UM... you need to pay your card didn't go through" which I knew was a lie. I know Apple pay and it's fast. I was pretty upset and came back and of course it went through. The store has not reached out to me but he should be fired for accusing a paying customer of stealing. Honestly it's embarrassing.
