Someone from Corporate needs to secret shop this location and see how Management is behaving or not even around or whatever the root cause is of the front end issues. There's always one or two lanes open with endless lines, unless you go super early in the morning. Then those cashiers are always complaining about needing to go on break, needing to go home, etc. and managers just walk right past them to take their breaks or go elsewhere in the store. It's very clear they are not supported and then their attitude spills onto the customers. And no one trains the baggers. All the food is mixed up and smashed and again it's not a people issue, but a training and support issue. I feel sorry for the workers. They seem miserable, but I keep shopping there because it's the closest store to my house and I enjoy the Starbucks inside.

The closest shopping market to me which means I'm here at least one time a day , but in the flower shop part it's a long black hair girl that she takes care the evening times, she is very rude and unpleasant with customers.

This is my favorite Vons by far. Most of the time there isn't too many people so you can be in and out without any distractions or annoyances. The shopping lines are always short as well. There are a vast selection of parking spots too so you'll never have to be waiting to park. The products are excellent everything is new and fresh and it even has a Starbucks inside which is the cherry on top. Highly recommend you give the spicy chicken tenders and wings a shot they're phenomenal! The employees are also very respectful and kind they'll always help you find whatever your looking for. Solid all around no complaints at all. Great job Vons!

I don't shop here if I can help it. Every time I buy milk or dairy from this store it's still got weeks before it expires on the box date but it's always curdled and expired. There's something wrong with the way they manage their refrigerators. The expiration date on the package is still valid but their products are expired. I had to take my business somewhere else.

This is the WORST grocery store I have ever patronized. In the last 10 years I have seen employees, including managers, slowing down the cashier via chit chat, cashiers making inappropriate comments about customer purchases, VERY long lines while employees stand around and laugh or talk on their cell phones, employees groping each other: there is even one employee, who appears to be a leader at the store, who just hangs out after his shift and loiters (you know who you are, get a life). I think corporate should audit this branch and make sweeping personnel changes. Just close the store and start over.

Management is not doing a good enough job enforcing the masking requirement. The last four times I've gone in there have been multiple shoppers defiantly not wearing masks despite the requirement being posted on both entrances. Anticipation of poor behavior by customers is no excuse for not enforcing a rule that's in place to protect all shoppers. I have watched management look at these shoppers, shake their heads, and do absolutely nothing about it.

I love this Vons. My girlfriend lives by this one and every time I get ingredients to cook I come here. Everyone is so nice and welcoming. They have just about everything you need and they have a great vegan selection. Oh and they have a Starbucks too! The girl that works there is always so nice even when she has a line. Love you guys!

Half the sh*t over here is expired. Always check the expiration date because they sure as hell dont. Its not just one item but multiple items that are expired. The only upside to this place is self checkout which every location has. Otherwise you'll be stuck waiting in line for 20-30 minutes depending on what tome you go.

If i could give ZERO stars i would. I received a frantic call from my daughter (16 years old) a couple of days ago. After calming her down she proceeded to tell me about a nightmare situation that just occured at the VONS store. My daughter entered the store to buy snacks to take with her to school as she does often since her bus stop is right in front of store. After she purchased her items and was leaving the store two plain clothes men grabbed her and attempted to push her outside saying " you have to come with us we caught you stealing" my daughter unaware of the fact that loss prevention exists or that they are not required to be in uniform panicked and ran back into the store (which she deemed to be the safest place- since she was afraid these random men were trying to abduct or rob her). After running back into the store my daughter tried to get away from the two men, all the while they are yelling at her, calling her names and cussing. Finally she figures out what is happening and asks one of the men "Do you want to see my receipt", she shows her receipt to the loss prevention worker and he says "oh you paid for everything you have, let me show my partner" he proceeds to show his partner the receipt and confirm that all items have been purchased and the other man says "get your stupid A$$es to school, get out of this store don't come back or we will call the police" my daughter still upset by what just transpired told the man to "go ahead and call the police, because i did nothing wrong" I called the store to speak with the manager who identified himself as Alex H. and was told "we don't have plain clothes loss prevention in this store". After explaining to entire situation to him, he said he would find out what happened and call me back. (i called him before 9am). Around 2pm i called the store again and asked to speak with Alex for an update. He then tells me that yes there was loss prevention in the store but he could not provide me the companies name, or any contact information. I explained to him that i needed the contact info because my daughter should not have been treated in this manner, she should not have been touched, chased or otherwise. He stated "the loss prevention officers have a very different story of events" I again asked him for contact info so i can discuss with them what happened instead of playing telephone and getting zero to no info/help from the store level. I also asked for the corporate number to vons and the district managers name to which he stated he could not give that information either. Alex recommended that i file a police report so that i could get more info. He also told me he would have someone from loss prevention call me. At 5:07pm, i receive a call from -NO CALLER ID- the man stated he worked for loss prevention company hired by Vons stores but would not give his name or contact information. He stated he is investigating the events that took place at VONS and wanted to reassure me that he was working on it. He said "can i ask you a question?... how old is your daughter?" i let him know my daughter had just turned 16 to which i was met with silence over the phone. after a moment of silence he said " ok im working on this and will call you back" and hung up. There is no circumstance in the world where two adult men hired by such a big grocery store chain be given a pass for physically grabbing and pushing a minor child, especially for a FALSE accusation. SOMEONE needs to protect our children, this store is across the street from a high school! whos to say this won't happen to someone else's child?!?! No one from VONS stores has had the decency to reach out for clarification, apologies, nothing!! Loss prevention is a damn joke!! They are just ego driven wannabe cops! I need answers!

This store is understaffed because the store manager treats his employees like sh*t. Floral manager is absolutely awful. Items are out of stock constantly because employees are overworked and again... understaffed. Courtesy clerks don't do anything but stand outside and socialize. I get you can only call the cops so many times but the homeless population building up outside is a hazard for both customers and employees trying to get inside and out. It's all fake smiles and is honestly stale. Produce has mold, insects, and old expired products on the shelves. They should be scoped out by those stocking them and thrown away but again... employees are treated like dirt so they don't care to put out the best of what they have. If you ordered through Drive-up & Go... ever notice how some of your produce is "out of stock" or you only get part of it? That would be because the picker noticed that what they have available is disgusting. The only person who ever cares about what goes on is Peter who occasionally works the self checkout but can mostly be found in the pharmacy. Including Raz the assistant store manger. The deli department is great. Kind staff and a wonderful manager named alicia.

I don't ever post reviews but this is just ridiculous- 2 stars taken away for an employees negative consistency. EVERYTIME I come and use the self check out I avoid it Fr*** is manning the station. He never fails to make me feel like I'm the dumbest, most incapable human. (I don't think I am as I'm in advance practice in my field) I didn't see him today, so I used it. Then I saw him at the podium and prayed nothing triggered him to come over. I even debated collecting my belongings and walking over to fall in line. Yes- he's that rude to me. Of course, the bag I brought was too heavy (how am I supposed to know this?) and the dang machine summoned him. I tried to explain myself and make a joke.. he shut me up like I was a little girl and was completely condescending. He made me feel like such an idiot, as always. I actually became emotional and teared up- yes it's that bad- that was my first outside interaction of my weekend. However, he did greet everyone else walking in a "Good morning"! Where's my Good morning? Everyone else there is wonderful and friendly. I will NEVER use the self checkout when he's there! ..until I do..and punch myself in the face for doing so because I didn't see him. I will ask the MOD for the shift roster on my next visit! Lol

The sidewalks and parking lot have so many homeless people, and they are not doing anything about it. It is unsanitary, and the homeless are not nice. Both of them aggressive when you don't give them money that they clearly are using to buy drugs. Will not shop at Vons again

Friendliest and most helpful staff of the foothill area Vons, it ends there the positives. Lately haven't been able to purchase many items in the Pet food/care area, wines, frozen vegetables and even unsalted peanuts! Many holes in these aisles makes me wonder if Vons is going out of business. Have taken over 1/2 my daily shopping now to other options due to supply availabilty. Whoever the purchasing manager is should be reevaluated in MY opinion.
