The Tulelake-Butte Valley Fairgrounds offers a unique and enjoyable experience for visitors, drawing attendees from miles away. Known for its character, the fair is smaller than many county fairs in the Northern California and Southern Oregon regions, but it compensates with a welcoming atmosphere. The fair is family-friendly and alcohol-free, which creates a relaxed environment free from rowdy nightlife. Visitors can explore extensive livestock exhibits, an impressive carnival with reasonably priced rides, and a variety of entertaining events throughout the fair. The food vendors are a highlight, with one local booth famous for its outstanding fries made from freshly harvested potatoes, offering a delicious treat that stands out among typical fair food. Despite having fewer vendors this year, the fair still features beloved options and maintains well-kept facilities, including shaded areas for relaxation. Attendees appreciate the fun activities such as dog shows, parades, and classic fair foods like dough boys and lemonade. Overall, the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair is a beloved small-town event that promises a memorable experience for all ages.
We stayed here in our motorhome to visit the Lava Caves. The kids had the best time climbing trees and tumbling in the grass. The facility was very well kept, hook ups and spacw for all sized vehicles. Will definitely stop here again.

Full hookups. Quiet spot. The spots are grass, & fairly level. Most of the spots will accommodate a large RV. Water pressure is good. If you have Passport America, the price is quite reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.
