Great for basic accomodations. Thermal gaps in the room and bathrooms are tiny. Comfortable beds. Check sheets for cleanliness. Felt safe at this location.Close to Joshua Tree North Entrance.Town is cute but less available nearby than Yucca Town.Visit Johns Place nearby for breakfast.

Very basic accommodation. Clean enough for the price. Room is not well insulated (cold air gets through door and bathroom windows) and bathroom is tiny especially if you’re tall. A couple spots that may have been mold and a few hairs on the beds. Owners asked if we needed anything. Free parking and ice, mini fridge and microwave. Sheets and a/c unit are sufficient but sheets are on the thinner side.Location is excellent to North Joshua Tree entrance and visitors center. Farmers market on Saturdays.

Nothing fancy, but it's clean and comfortable. Walking distance to a Starbucks and the Jelly Donut (iykyk)Staff is super nice. Rooms have a mini fridge and a microwave. Parking is literally steps from your room. Perfect place to return to after hiking in thr Park.

I made a reservation for this motel sight unseen, because I’m working in the area. I do live in the general region, but about 100 miles away. I believe in supporting local business, which is what brought me here. I really don’t care for the chain motels.I had to check in at 1PM because I needed to be out at my job site, and I knew I would not return until it was very late at night. The owner was very accommodating, which I truly appreciated. I had an employee arriving the next day, and I’d made a reservation for just myself, out of sheer habit. He changed my reservation without penalizing me. (Thank you!!)I took my room key and went straight to my job site.I can’t begin to explain what a pleasant surprise it was to open the door to my room—-after parking in my own little covered garage parking!! (That’s a first!)The rooms had obviously been recently remodeled. The room had everything that I needed for my stay, it was nicely decorated without being gaudy, with very nice tile floors and all of the needed amenities.I immediately felt comfortable, which was a huge relief after working out in the desert all day. There are several convenience stores and restaurants very close by.I won’t hesitate to come back, this is a super nice, comfortable, clean , locally owned business!!

I don't understand why family rooms don't automatically come with a tub, children are hard to shower. Otherwise the Hotel is Great. Great Location to everything in town, only a block from a gas station. The rooms are uncarpeted making them very clean, beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is adequate for average sized adults.Rooms: Rooms are comfortable, clean, and furnished with all you need; microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and cable TV. Also comes with free WifiNearby activities: It's close by many restaurants, some of which deliver to the hotel, and the main gate of Joshua Tree NP. If you're up for exploring Amboy is close by.Safety: Very safe and quiet location, however there isn't a safety latch on the room door.Noteworthy details: The view of the desert is absolutely amazing.

What a Jem! Stumbled upon this stay on route to Vegas...staff friendly and welcoming, great for saving a few quid. Pool was clean, grounds and gardens looked after. Rooms have plenty of space. We even had a car port to protect our vehicle from the sun. We also found a great BBQ joint 2 mins in the car.. best ribs ever!!

I have stayed at El Rancho Dolores Motel a number of times -- sometimes for just a night, sometimes for a week -- and I have always found my stay to be comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are always clean, there is plenty of hot water, and the kitchenette area (fridge, microwave, and coffee maker) makes the room seem like a home away from home (except that I do not have AC at home!) The staff is very helpful and the location -- close to Joshua Tree National Park, downtown Twentynine Palms, restaurants, and gas stations -- makes this motel a great spot for your hub in the high desert.

Good rooms and amenities. Everything was as advertised and as expected for the good price for the room. Walking distance to downtown 29 Palms restaurants and shops. The owners and staff were kind and very accommodating of my schedule change request.

Went here at 2am after unsuccessfully trying to camp in Joshua Tree. We went here because they were open 24 hours, responded promptly, and had vacancies. For a room with 2 queen size beds it was $130 per night. The room was a good size. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was cramped, and the rooms could been cleaned better. There was dust in multiple places, and one dead cockroach on the floor.

- gave me a non-smoking room that smelled like smoke. when i complained, i got an air freshener spray. very hard to sleep in a room that smells so bad.- people were yelling outside my door at about 3 AM in the morning.- the kitchenette smelled STRONGLY of old, rotten eggs.- the towels and the bedsheets had some suspicious stains on them.overall, very shabby - i left in the morning as early as possible. i can't believe all the good reviews. this costs as much as many much better hotel rooms i've stayed in. very overpriced for what you're getting!

Great room, clean. The kitchen in the family suite is helpful for a large family. Convenient location for Joshua Tree National Park. Friendly service. Air conditioner and fan are very loud making sleep difficult.
