Had the pleasure of working with Karyn this year. I was referred to H&K, and am happy to report that the referral lived up to the hype! Karyn was throughouh, patient, and helpful. My boyfriend has worked with Hank in the past, and has also had very good a good experience.

There is a guy named Hank who works for this cpany and he helped me file my taxes. I had a tax preparer I was with prior to him for 10+ years and she recently messed up my taxes last year. I told Hank about it and he told me he would take good care of me and that he did he went over everything he inputted in the system for me and did an awesome job. Will be coming back to him from now on

I have been going here for years and Hank was my man. Until one day he forgot about me and his wife stole me away and now I am on team Karyn. Karyn is a pro at what she does and I promise to keep coming back during tax season. She's fully booked for other financial services during my visit but she might be available if you're there and asking. I was in and out in a timely manner. Karyn explained everything I needed to know about my taxes and I was on my way. I will see you soon

I get a little antsy when I deal with tax professionals because I had a really bad experience with the last/only person who did my taxes and since that time, I've been able to do my own taxes on my own since it's pretty straight forward. Well my mom usually has someone do her taxes for her, so when she asked me to tag along to do her taxes as she needed to do it later this year, I was a little apprehensive. I wanted to make sure she was in good hands because....well she's my mom! So I'm glad I tagged along as it was definitely a much better experience than what I have had in the past. L O C A T I O N H&K Tax Services is located in a small building behind Thai Kitchen on Alvarado Blvd and Dyer St. They have a TINY private parking lot in the back but it's fine as they only really have 2 groups in at a given time slot. C O V I D P R O T O C O L Everyone inside is masked. There are hand sanitizers every where. I wish they would sanitize their pens though after each use or at least provide a fresh pen that is sanitized in front of the customer so you know it's clean. Upon entry, they check your temperature and the client has to fill out a COVID form that says you're ok. The door was wide open and they had air filters running the whole time we were there. S E R V I C E So you have to book an appointment in advance. Hank & Karyn are a husband & wife team. We were there to see Hank, but he was busy so Karyn had just finished with a client and she helped us out. Well good thing, because she noticed that last year Hank said my mom shouldn't file as it wouldn't make sense to do so with the little income she has, but Karyn noticed that they missed a number with some stock sales/trades that would require her to file. So we ended up doing 2 years of documents. I would say it roughly takes them 30 minutes for a person if you only have to file for one year. I think we were there roughly 45 minutes which is still pretty good. She's quite efficient, though I'm wondering if there was anything we missed because she only really dealt with the papers we provided. At the end you get a copy of the filed taxes, they ask for your bank routing information for direct deposit of your tax refund so bring a voided check. Then at the end they provide how much the services cost which I was surprised since our previous tax person was double the cost and did a shady job. O V E R A L L Karyn was great. She made us feel at ease, provided a lot of real practical advice for my mom and made me feel like there are better tax professionals in the world. Been going here for over 10 years... when Karen was working over by the haircut place across the street. Love Karen and her husband, they are extremely nice and very straight forward. Even if you dont get a return for the year, they explain to you why and how to change things so that things will change. They are honest and people I can trust. They get pretty busy so make sure you call now to make an appointment before the tax deadline which has been extended for this year. Mask required and they check temps!!

I have filed last year for my tax return 2019. If you need a TAX professional to prepare your tax DO NOT go here. Very expensive charges and they dont pay attention on the details they put on your documents. Please do not go here they very UNPROFESSIONAL. They are NOT here to help but to overcharge people. BEWARE

Hank is always on top of tax season game. I refer to have my taxes done by them so I can be explained further with all my questions. I usually book days before but this year, I just went and was able to get an open slot less than 30mins. Very accommodating. They observe Covid protocol by having everyone wear mask and temperature check.

Been doing my tax here for years. The only thing is the wait. Even if you have an appointment there might be some wait, but once you get to see one of them they are quick and get the job done. The couple is awesome, very professional and knowledgeable.
