Low class and tacky staff. The doctor is a money hungry canker sore who doesn't care about animals. Disgusting.

I was so thrilled with this office that I had to write a review as soon as I got home! Every single employee was great. I wish I were better with names so I could give individual shout outs, but the several people who helped me book my appointment, get checked in, process my coupons and payment, the vet tech, and Dr. Chao were all equally kind, upbeat, and informative. I recently got my dog and he has several health concerns which were patiently explained to me. Dr. Chao answered my million questions without making me feel rushed and the staff were very kind in assisting me with my untrained dog. I left feeling like I served my dog well by choosing this office. Thank you for the wonderful experience and easing my mind as I navigate my new dog's somewhat complex medical needs.

On 07/20/2023 we had to make the difficult decision to lay one of our most precious dogs to rest, Pancakes. 15.5 y/o and still a very sassy girl. She began experiencing very frequent seizures and because of other underlying health issues, seizure medications were not an option. During her last days she appeared so defeated and so were we. We were able to get an appointment the same day, which we were so relieved about. Both my son and I were crying our eyes out the entire time. Everyone was so extremely kind, especially Dr. Yu (so sorry for any misspellings) it was the first time we had met him. He was absolutely amazing. He did not rush us, gave us as much time as we wanted to grieve, and he was so gentle with Pancakes. I spent every second with her until her last breath. Such a heartbreaking experience but Dr. Yu made it comforting and gentle, I really appreciate him and VCA. We miss her.

This place has horrible customer service! The name All About Pets is definitely a joke. They wanted to charge me a whopping $125 just for the exam. I definitely do not recommend this vet.

The only reason this is a One Star review, it's because there isn't a No Star review! I remember when veterinarians were kind, compassionate, and dedicated to protect the well being of all animals. I found a poor stray cat on my property; I thought the kitty was dead. When I checked, I realized instead that the kitty was suffering a great deal, and near death. I contacted All About Pets, to ask if I could bring the poor kitty to their office, under the Concerned Citizen premise, so they could end his suffering. What I found was a total lack of compassion for this suffering, dying kitty. First, I was told they didn't have an appointment. When I explained - AGAIN! - that I had just found him, that he was dying, that I had no idea where he came from, and that I was asking them about bringing him in as a Concerned Citizen I was simply told they didn't have a y time anyway, and I had to go to an emergency vet hospital. It's truly a very sad day, when you find that lack of concern and compassion at a place where you expect both. Especially when you're trying your best to aid an innocent animal in extreme distress, and all you want is to get help to end his suffering. One thing is painfully clear: this is NOT the place I would trust with the care of any living creature.

Summary:Professional, but Expensive and Missed DetailsI recently took my cat to VCA. Dr. Hata diagnosed a swallowed foreign object based on vague symptoms and arranged an x-ray - a correct call. However, the x-ray cost nearly $700, much more than the ~$300 I am used to in San Jose. Additionally, we discovered mild gingivitis on the report that Dr. Hata did not mention. Although Dr. Hata's knowledge was impressive, I was taken aback by the high costs and missed details in our communication. Improvements are needed for a better customer experience.

Dumbest front office personnel award. They also threatened me. She told me it wouldn't matter if I put this on Google their office has a way of taking off bad reviews. Playing on their phones, chewing gum with their mouths open uncaring, unprofessional and yelling at clients.

Very pricey and long wait, the vet bill costed almost twice as much than other places. Appointment visits still have to wait another 30-45 min. after checking in to see vet.

My dog Alfea's first visit to VCA was in October. I will always remember how Dr Lam was up at 3 am the next day, communicating to me the urgency of taking my Alfea to the emergency room for an AKI, based on the blood draw from the day before. Dr Lam was also correct when it came time to put Alfea to sleep. I will always be grateful for Dr. Lam for her kindness and dedication: she gave Alfea the best chance of a recovery from her final crisis. It is easy to get an appointment in a timely manner here; something i found to be elusive elsewhere, and you get excellent doctors. I only wish i discovered them earlier in our move up to the East Bay.

Pricey compared to other vets and services are getting worse. I have been coming to this location because of the wonderful groomers. There are other vets and animal hospitals that are truly caring for animals.

I used to live within walking distance from this amazing clinic, the entire staff was happy to have my dog Hiro walk though just because he wanted to. They would walk him through and do it with a smile. Dr. Hata was amazing with all his treatments. I would bring him back when I moved to San Jose because I knew they absolutely loved him and all the fur babies that came in. I have cats now and will bring them there for all of their needs. They are phenomenal!

They were absolutely awesome. From the moment we walked in you can feel the welcome and the furry kids also felt it. What great staff to have take care of your pets and I'm glad I found a new place for mine. Thanks to the staff.

We went to VCA All About Pets for about a year, before we moved out of the area. We loved everyone on staff; they were kind and thoughtful and worked hard to get our cats the best care they could throughout Covid. Dr Krauss was our primary vet and she always took the time to explain things thoroughly to us, ensuring we knew what was going on with our cats and what we should consider doing about it. If we hadn't moved away, we'd absolutely still be going here, they're truly the best locally.
