I wish there was a way to give no stars. I booked with Lauren at Glam Studios via their online booking system and got confirmation twice via text about my appointment. It was my daughter's prom and she needed an updo. Unfortunately Lauren sends me the attached text message a few hours before our appointment and says she cannot see us as "her booking system never updated and she was unavailable". I couldn't believe she contacted me hours prior to cancel our appointment! Ridiculous to see she also charges 40% of the fee if you were to cancel prior. So beware booking with her as she may not be available the day of.

Glam Studio is located in studio #6 in the Sola Salon. There is no signage on the door, so I had a hard time finding it, until I researched online again to try and identify which unit # it was in. My appointment was at 7 pm, but when I opened the door to the studio, the stylist, Lauren, asked me to wait outside on a bench around the corner since she was with another client. I wasn't called in until about 7:30. Lauren was friendly and talkative, and asked me some questions about how I normally style my hair and what I wanted to do with it. My requests were pretty simple, just a trim and some layers. I had purchased a Groupon that included cut, deep treatment, and styling. She asked if I wanted her to curl my hair to see what it would look like styled and I said yes (because styling was included with my Groupon). My hair cut was fine, nothing amazing, but not bad. I was disappointed with my experience for a few reasons. 1) I have never waited so long for a hair appointment after my scheduled time, and I was really hoping to be done sooner so I could go home and help put my kid to bed. 2) I normally get a hair wash before my hair cut at other places. I saw reviews on Groupon that they got a shampoo, but Lauren didn't wash my hair. It was a dry cut situation. 3) I was supposed to get a deep treatment, but didn't get that either. I thought the deep treatment was supposed to be a conditioning treatment of some sort after a shampoo, but I guess not. She did use some kind of spray (I think dry shampoo or hairspray?) and some oil for shine. 4) If you are one to prefer being around people that wear masks, you should know that Lauren doesn't wear a mask while working on your hair. There was another client in the studio that also didn't wear a mask.

Loving my “new” hair, thanks to Lauren! She’s very talented and skilled. The final result (i.e. the haircut) is proof of how good she really is! She’s very easy to communicate with and professional. She also answered a few questions that I had about hit products and gave suggestions on what I should try...Will definitely go back!

Lauren is great! I've been here twice and she always gives great haircuts for my curly hair. I hadn't gotten a haircut in 8 months due to restrictions and she made it healthy again.

Thank you Lauren for my haircut and deep conditioning treatment! My hair was horrible. Dead, split ends, everything you can think of. I came in for a haircut and a deep conditioning treatment for the first time and decided to come back because 1. Lauren was super sweet, 2. Helpful and 3. Of course super talented :) I scheduled my second trim as soon as it hit the 6 week mark. I know I have a long way to go, but at least I know Lauren will help me through this hair health/growth journey.

My cut & style was awesome loved it when I left and I still love it. If you want a stylist who knows her craft well! She made me feel so comfortable by explaining type of styles and cuts that would be great for me (I had no real idea). She was so honest and right on the money with my cut & style, she knows her craft well! I really loved that she showed me what she was doing every step of the way! As well as made sure I knew how to recreate the style at home! The best!! Just look at the before and after pictures my hair looks so much more healthier!!

I love going there Jacky is the best she has a soft hand didn't hurt me at all I did Botox and did filler for under the eyes I will go back for sure I'm very happy with my results and recommend to all my friends I also like that they have long hours so I'm able to go after work and they take care of me quick

I am so happy I found Lauren, she did an amazing job with my hair cut & correcting my hair color she has a passion for her work she also takes time to know what you want she shares products and very Cool person I will definitely be back I'm so glad I found glam studio on groupon

I purchased a package for Glam studio with Lauren from Groupon. Making appointment was easy online and she was exactly what other reviewers were talking about. I wanted to cut my hair short and she not only guided me through the whole process but also did a great job. I am so happy with the result. I will go back to her again. :)

My mom purchased a groupon with Lauren and had an very unfortunate experience. First, on her schedule day, Lauren texted that she had an emergency. Totally understandable and we reschedule. On the day of our next appointment we sat outside in the hallway and waited 45 min. I already peeped in to their room (It's part of a work/space type place where there are a bunch of businesses next to each other) when we arrived and she was still working on someone and told me she was running a little late. Well it was extremely inconvenient to have my mom (who got ready for this appointment in hopes of fixing her hair finally since we had to wait days later) wait for so long on a hard bench. I also had a work appointment and knew we would not make it. What made it worse was that she didn't even have the decent courtesy to come out again to give us an approximate time on when she was going to be done. I contacted groupon at the 45 min mark and they escalated my situation to their complaints department. I know this was a discounted service since this was through groupon but you do NOT treat any customer this way. To make things worse - I received a text from her at 11:23pm with an apology for my wait and explaining she was double booked. I found it totally rude to text me at that late hr, yet not even explain that when we were actually there waiting for almost an hr! I've been to many top salons in LA through working in the industry myself - and I assure you I will NOT be using any sort of specials off of groupon just to save some $$ anymore. So not worth it. Avoid this place.

Nice friendly service but most importantly and very nice cut. I got a haircut, treatment, and style. Scheduling was super easy with Lauren and even though I had an emergency and thought I'd miss my appointment, she was very understanding. I ended up being able to make my appointment and wasn't disappointed. Karolina did a great job and I left feeling lighter in hair in spirit. Thanks!
